As the other reviews say - this is the perfect red. I love the consistency of any Chanel polish, they all go on evenly and easily and are well worth the money you pay for them. You could get away with only one coat of this but I do two and it is such a rich and beautiful colour. Lasts two weeks easily (with a top coat) and is great for hands and feet. I adore this colour and will buy it again and again. I get many compliments whenever I'm wearing it.

My HG red nail varnish! A beautiful shade which applies easily, lasts a long time, and is a very flattering shade for anyone to wear. Very classic. As always, the Chanel packaging is beautiful too - so this is a bottle which will look pretty on your dressing table.

I bought this four years ago, am still using it up and still very much impressed. At that time, short red nails became very chic, and I marched into the Chanel free-standing skincare/makeup store, and picked up this plain red creme polish. The first time I wore this polish, I thought the application is absolutely phenomenal - the texture is perfectly smooth and opaque, and the color perfectly saturated. But I also noticed something else, my HANDS looked greater than they did without polish on. And this was the kind of earth-shattering moment for me (haha). The undertone of your polish makes a huge difference to how well you look with the polish on. My undertone is yellow but more towards neutral. And my hands look more alabaster-skin like with this on - just more luminously white. This is my favorite summer polish.

This is my favorite nailpolish ever. I love Chanel Le Vernis anyway, but this is the perfect true red color on me. I only have to apply one coat and I'm set. The finish is very glossy looking so no topcoat is needed, which cuts down on application time.

I agree with other reviewers who have said that "Fire" is the perfect red. I spent ages looking for a true red nail polish (similar to the colour of a London bus / post box), which didn't look pink and didn't look orange and I am quite pleased at having finally found it. Personally, I have blonde hair (naturally) but hazel eyes and medium skin tone and am neither "warm" nor "cool", so I need a very "true red" for it to suit me. When I say a true red, in other words I mean that it is neither a "blue" red or a "yellow" red and therefore I think it would suit most people, regardless of whether your skin is cool or warm (I notice that other reviewers have said this too). The price was reasonable (14 pounds) and the quality was quite good. I put one coat on at first and I had several small chips, but I just applied a second coat and it solved the problem and looked neat for a week or so until I removed it.

I LOVE this color!! It is the only red that I have come across that suits my skin tone ( which also causes me problems finding foundation because I am neither all cool or all warm). It goes on sooo smooth (much better then Rouge Noir) and 1 coat usually does the job. I have tried OPI Red and Rescue Beauty Lounge Chinoise, but they are too orange. I just wish that Chanel had not discontinued Fire here in the US :( . So if you find it, buy it!!

I love this nailpolish, a lot. I've gone through quite a few red ones over the years looking to find the perfect one, and my search stopped about a year ago at the Chanel counter in my local Macy's. At the time, I figured, "What the hell? I'll try it." I didn't think I was going to like it because there was no shimmer. I was really, really wrong. THis is the perfect red. Like the other reviewers have said, no blue, no orange, no pink, no anything tones except a true, bright, creme red. Absolute HG red n/p. This will be in my stash forever. :)

Another winner by Chanel. A perfect, true, sexy and sophisticated red. There is a gorgeous "gloss" effect, and the color does not chip easily. I absolutely recommend it.

This has got to be the most perfect true red created. It is stunning. It's a 100% pure red - no pink / blue tones here. Think a bright red tomato - that's Fire. I love it. A classic, sophisticated and tres stylish shade of red.

I'm a little confused - my nailpolish just says "Fire," and so I am not entirely sure if I am reviewing the exact same product as the other reviewers. I bought mine in June 2005 at Nordstrom. This stuff is amazing - it really is a true classic red. So far I have worn it as pedicures, and it lasts two weeks on me (local nail salon does a good job, and they love this color). Yes, it is expensive (about nineteen dollars) but I really like the quality of Chanel nail color. I think this color would look good on everyone - I really do. When autumn comes, I am going to wear it as a manicure color. I adore this color.

I am a clasic girl when it comes to my nail colours. I like either a french manicure or red coloured nails. And if I decide to wear red then it HAS to be FIRE by CHANEL. This is the classic red that will last me a lifetime, and the fact that it has the matching lipstick only hightens it's appeal. (I'm a matchy matchy girl and was pleased to read that matching lips and nails is one of THE hottest trends this year). The product does live up to the hype and the quality can't be beaten. I don't bother humming and harring when I go and get my pedicure done at the little Korean place around the corner from me (you guys are fab!!!) Now, I just pull out my bottle of Chanel !!!

The perfect medium red for me. Neither too orange nor too blue, this creme n/p will transition easily from summer to winter. While one may be able to find this shade of red in less expensive lines, I am finding that nothing beats the high gloss and elegance of Chanel polishes. One can achieve a perfect 'wet look' in one or two coats. I also love that these are quite dummy-proof, as the polish dries quickly to a chip resistant finish without the aid of a quick-dry top coat.
