This is very similar on Mario Badescu's Drying Lotion and it's similarly effective, i.e. it works really well. It tackles even my worst cystic spots and calms down flared-up skin. The consistency is bit more liquid, but it even smells like MB lotion. Due to the bottle and consistency, it's a bit awkward to get the right amount of product and it can get easily spilled. I think you get more for your money, as the bottle is slightly bigger. A very decent spot buster!

I was sorely disappointed by this much-touted product. The application process is messy, the product is watery and I imagine also easy to spill, and it does little to dry up pimples. Since those qualities are exactly the opposite of those you look for in a product like this, I will not be buying it again.

I really wanted this product to work. But was let down in an expensive product again. This did nothing for breakouts!! It made me breakout worse and just left my skin peeling!!

Bought this because my chin is the only place I get issues, and it hasn't done a thing for the larger "hormonal" breakouts that it claims to be made for..it does help clear up smaller blemishes for me but that's not what I needed it for. It lasts forever and is a little watery..I use a q-tip to put it on. It can dry the area around the pimple too. Won't be repurchasing.

This is Joey New York's redeeming product for me (along with pure pores masque) cuz it works. It feels very similar to Mario Badescu's buffering lotion which I also love to treat cystic hormonal breakouts on my chin (am finally clear now, thank god!.)

The bottle is ill-designed as the stuff just pours out since it doesn't have a stopper or anything. They say it can be used as a concealer, but come on..it has the consistency of water (it has a beige tint)...this does not work as a concealer period. Still, it's mega effective in attacking deep-seated cystic monsters, so you might welcome it into your anti-acne regiment. Would buy again.

I got a sample of this at Sephora, and tried it as suggested (put it on a damp cotton ball and wiped over entire chin area) and while I must say it dried out the big cystic zit on my chin, it made all of the skin around it flake off as well. Definitely too drying for my dry skin. I would recommend just using a q-tip and dabbing it on zits, rather than as a "wash". I don't think I'll buy it.

I'm 21 and I still break out around my chin regularly. I've used this product for a couple months now and I have never seen better results using any other product. Now I only get 1, maybe 2 pimples around my period, which beats the 6 or 7 from before. And now my acne scars are healing since new ones aren't coming out. Pretty soon I won't need concealer on hand every minute of the day! Two downsides though, 1. The color is orange-brown (that was stupid of them) and 2. The smell is annoying at first. This wouldn't be a problem if my roommate wasn't my bf. But, he hasn't noticed so far, so maybe it's in my head... or maybe he's just a typical male.

Not any better than many drugstore brand products, i.e. Oxy, Clearisil, therefore not worth the price.

There are two ingredients known to get rid of zits, benzoyl peroxide & salicylic acid. Some people respond to one better then the other. I respond best to salicylic acid. Saddly most of the cheaper drug store stuff is benzoyl peroxide which burns my skin, and takes days to dry out the zits and does nothing for the emerging ones. This stuff on the other hand is great. As others have said it zaps most of them over night and stops emerging ones in their tracks. I have hormonal breakout on my chin only and have found that stuff has kept my breakout to a minimum. Most nights I apply to my entire moist chin as a diluted wash which acts as a mild exfoulient and has virtually done away with minor breakout. Now I only have to contend with the occasional stubborn one. The only thing I don't like about the product is the tint. It is way to dark for my NW20 skin and wish the stuff was just clear. If I need to apply during the day, I use a Q-tip for spot applications and then a concealer. The stuff is pricey but lasts forever. I've been using it over a year and it's not even half gone. It will probably loose its potency long before I run out.

The only product I have ever found that truly heals a pimple in just a day - amazing - my teenager & her friend steal this product from me all the time!

This product worked very well, and not just on my chin. Luckily I sampled it before I bought it though. It is tinted, as are most of their products, and it is just way too dark for my skin. It looks like dirt on my face. I've been using it at night and it has been getting rid of my breakouts. However, it does make the area around the pimple flakey. Will not be purchasing this item.

I liked this product a lot, but I found Philosophy's "Hope in a Bottle" a better match for my skin. Although Chin Breakout Relief really does work -- it both dries up pimples that have erupted as well as prevents ones that are looming -- I eventually found it too drying. Also, the brown-colored formula had a tendency to stain things eg pillowcase.

Ok, I actually really like this stuff. It is very effective on me. I don't use it all over like the bottle would suggest, but I dab it on blemishes with a cotton swab. It dries them up, and because it has sulfur in it, it's antibacterial too. I like that it is colored even though I can't use it during the day because it makes it easier to see you are applying it exactly where you want it. Despite the price, it lasts forever how I use it, and I use it practically every night! I do plan to purchase this again.

**EDIT** while I did re-purchase this many times- I now prefer Mario Badescu's pink drying lotion because it actually has more sulfur and kills zits faster.

Waste of money. You can use biore blemish bombs for cheaper and get better results. I find using origins clear improvement on pimples or queen helene just as effective if not cheaper. Very disappointing.

Cleared up my hormonal chin acne, but dried me up so badly that my skin was coming off in sheets. Burning. No way, never again.

This is the product I reach for whenever I have a blemish. This dries it up in day's sometimes overnight. I even apply this on blemishes that are under the skin and haven't come to a "head". I shake the bottle then insert a cotten tip swab then apply onto the area. The best part is that it doesn't dry out my skin like other spot blemish products that contain salicylic acid usually does. Unlike the name states you can use this on the forehead, nose, wherever. It is pretty expensive but my bottle has lasted over 2 years.

Nothing special here - just a drying lotion. It works well on bigger blemishes, but not much better than benzoyl peroxide. I actually liked the color - it sort of matched my skintone and hid the redness. But I wouldn't buy this again - too expensive and I can get something just as effective for less money.
