Loved! Purchased this before my wedding to get my hair in top shape. Loved the results. Wish I could afford to continue using it.

I couldn't help but notice that a lot of comments state that this product has made their hair oily. This specific product is usually recommended for extremely damaged hair. If your hair is only slightly damaged or fine, this product is much to strong and would of course result in this problem.

I am in twominds about this I love the results but I seem to be a bit allegic. I get a hot itchy scalp after using it and sometimes break out in bumps in my scalp . I also notice when hair sheds more when i wash it using this shampoo and con. I used it for i full year last year and really loved it it works brilliantly but i think your scalp gets used to it and you start having problems. My eyes also get sore when i use it. I will prob keeps a couple of bottles to use now and again but i dont think my hair will allow me to use this regularly again.

This shampoo has a very soft formula that doesnt make your hair straw-like. Of course the results are not the same if you continue damaging your hair by ironing, perming, dying, blow drying and stuff. Really, if you continue doing that sort of things, you cant expect this or any other product to repair it.
I used it among the masque, and it is really doing fine, I use no heat tools, wash it every other day and apply the masque twice a week. It is really making my hair look and feel healthier.
Another good thing about this product is that you don't need to use a lot of product to get good results.
The smell is very nice, not strong enough to be annoying.

I noticed last summer that I had a big chunk missing in my hair. Yes, serious hair breakage. I got really scared and decided to ditch the cheap stuff and really invest my money in some serious products. I knew Kerastase was one of the best brands out there. But of course you have to search around even within a brand and find what works for you. So I decided to get this protein shampoo. It started to transform my hair INSTANTLY! It made it thicker and fuller and healthier from day 1. Yes. Now, 6 months later that really short chunk is down to my shoulders, thanks to THIS product and the matching serum. So YES, it does what it suppose to do. Builds your hair back to normal. The only thing is that you have to switch it sometimes to a moisturizing shampoo as too much protein can build up. You will notice that it works wonderfully and one day after washing your hair it feels dry and no good, that is the time to wash it a couple of times with moisture shampoo and conditioner. It is not cheap, around $40 a bottle, but it lasted me a long time, made a dramatic change in my hair, smells lovely citrusy, and weeks later I started using the matching reconstructive serum, that is superb as well... Together they are like $80 but if you are stressed out about your hair, this is a MUST. :-)

I am very new to Kerastase and thought I would give it a try based on the reviews. So far my hair is getting much better with this shampoo. Also using the entire line to get the full effect. It has only been a few weeks now and think this product will be a keeper for me :)

I had a sample of this and when I first used it I was amazed at how soft and silky my hair felt, however the next day my scalp was incredibly itchy and flakey, I won't be using this range again.

I had such high hopes for this product as I have heard many great things about it. And partly, they were true. My hair became less prone to split ends and generally healthier looking. However, the big no-no for me was that it became greasy a lot faster.
My hair is usually oily, but with this I couldn't last 24 hour without washing it. I normally wash it every other day, but this just made it go very greasy very fast.
I have no idea what caused it because I don't recognize any silicones or oils which are the usual culprits. Nevertheless, I am very sorry this did not work out for me because everything else, except for the price, was pretty great.

The first few onths of using this were heaven my hair was thick and felt great and the price tag was worth the results. I used this with the anti usure cimet conditioner and volumactive spray. Then after a few months I noticed a couple of things starting. My hair would be very knotted at the roots after washing and my hair would appear to stretch out as I brushed it through before blow drying. This continued until my previously very healthy hair began to snap off at the root end every time I washed. I started to get itchy bump in my scalp and a weird stinging sensation all over the scalp. As tine went on my hair began to shed when washing and in the brush when brushing through. My hair felt noticeably weaker and thinner after about 9 months. I actually booked a drs appointment for bloods to be taken as I though i was anaemic or somehting then something made me check reviewson this shampoo and thank god i checked because other people were reviewing the exact same problems i couldn't believe it!. I changed back to my old shampoo and literally within days my hair started to go back to it's previous condition and my scalp felt healthy again. It was undoubtedly the shampoo causing it!. The volumactive spray i have used for much longer and have no problem with but these shampoos are very bad for long term use. Please be aware so if you notice the changes stop imdeiately.I still have loads of snapped short bits at the front of my hair which I have never had in my entire life. I do not colour or straighten my hair just blow dry it so I can't imagine what the long term effects would be for people who colourand tyle their hair regularly and use this shampoo.

This shampoo made my hair very plump and thicker. I am very impressed.
I don't agree with the price of Kerastase. I have tried shampoos before that have done not quite as a good job, but almost.
I would rather use a cheaper shampoo and spend the money I save on a more expensive conditioner or treatment.

I don't really have problematic hair. It's a little dry, no split ends, not too frizzy, down to my waist, thick. I like products that nourish my hair, and make it smooth, soft, and shiny.
I don't understand why kerastase is so popular. It all seems so overpriced and average. Granted it smells sooo good and lathers really nicely, but that's really it. It's soo expensive and I've tried much better drugstore products.
My hair is kind of dry because I used to heat style every day. After a few times of using this my hair was even drier. It felt dry, looked dry, and I had split ends..I NEVER have split ends.
I guess it works well for some people, but it was pretty bad for me. It wasn't moisturizing at all. I guess it's partially because my hair is thick, not thin, but it still didn't work at all. I won't buy this again.

I love this shampoo! I use it with Kerastase Ciment Anit-Usure and they are a dream team! I was told to try them by my hairdresser and they have definitely improved the texture and condition of my hair. I only use them a couple of times a week and alternate with my other shampoo/conditioner as they are really expensive but for me it's so worth it. When I use this my hair feels soft and smooth even before conditioning which is a novelty for me as I have fine highlighted hair so it gets really tangled. This is a must have for me. The only annoying thing is the bottle- the lid is really heavy and it could do with a squeezy bottle with a flip lid...

I know there are many people who swear by Kerastase products, but I don't get the hype. My hairdresser harped on me for years before I finally broke down and tried them. I have dry, coarse hair and damage from heat styling, so I alternated between the Bain de Force/Ciment Anti-Usure (to repair) and the Bain Satin 2/Masquintense (for moisture/deep conditioning), plus the Nectar Thermique before heat styling. After a few weeks the condition of my hair was worse. It felt dry, looked dry, and had more split ends than before. My hairdresser suggested that I switch to the Bain Nutri-Thermique and Fondant Nutri-Thermique, plus the Masquintense for deep conditioning. The results with that combination are a little bit better, but I'm still not sure it's worth all the hype.
Since this review is specifically for the Bain de Force shampoo, I'll take a moment to review that. It lathers well and has a nice scent, but that's about it. It's hard to say whether or not it actually repaired my hair, but it sure didn't seem like it. For $36 for an 8-oz. bottle, I expect more. I'll use it here and there until I finish the bottle, but I won't repurchase.

Incredible. I have been eyeing this line for awhile, since Bain 1/ Lait Vital in the Kerastase Nutritive didn't work for me (YUCK, THE SMELL!!!). I am not the typical Resistance candidate. My hair is not severely damaged, but damaged enough to where i saw a huge difference the first time i used this. I only use a temporary color every couple of months, and heat style a little everyday (wash/blow-dry every other day, run my curling wand though; touch ups here and there with my curling wand on days I don't wash my hair). You only need a little bit. Even before conditioner, you can almost feel all the rough spots in your hair "filling in". Paired with the conditioner, this is the best shampoo/conditioner I have ever used. But you would think for the price it would have a flip cap...$2 drugstore shampoos have them, so what's up with that, lol?

This is probably the most expensive hair care product I've used thus far in my life. That said, I do like it a lot, but I'm not sure it's "the one". While washing my hair, I swear this shampoo thickens up my hair because it feels really plump. It doesn't leave my hair as tangled as it usually does post-shampoo, but I still need a conditioner afterwards. I use Ciment Thermique as my leave-in treatment, and my hair is shiny and soft. I also like the light refreshing scent. Unless I find something I like better than this, I'd repurchase! For reference, I have thin, slightly wavy hair that's halfway down my back.

This shampoo which made me faithful. Yes yes, I was a terrible cheater before: I could never stop with one shampoo. I was trying one and moving to the next one, the next one, the next one, until I tried this one:
You try it once, and you fell in love with it. It makes your hair shiny, manageable and soft already after the first use. I ALWAYS get compliments when I use it: "Have you dyed your hair?", "Have you made a new haircut?", "Your hair is gorgeous! How do you do this?", etc. etc.
So, here are my cons and pros about it:
Pros:
- makes your hair so shiny, you will be getting tones of compliments;
- nice smell (ok, the smell is a matter of preference, but I do like the smell of Bain de Force): for me it smells very fresh and delicate;
- makes my split ends much less visible, so I have my hair looking much healthier.
Cons:
- it is on expensive side: I usually pay 17-20 euro for 250 ml;
- doesn't last long for my waist long hair. I finish one bottle of 250 ml a month.

Using this, along with Ciment Anti-usure, destroyed my hair. I can't be sure which it was, because I stopped using both after a month, at the same time.
My hair went stretchy. Seriously. It would break so easily, I couldn't even comb it. I was scared I was going bald. I have very very fine hair, so I guess it was just too drying for my hair type. Never again for me.

I really hate this shampoo! It doesn't even clean your hair, but just leaves it feeling filthy and gross. I don't know why my hair hates it so much, but I'll never use it again.

I love this shampoo!!! I am 20 years old with a normal amount of medium density, wavy hair. My hair has always had a habit of falling out a bit, but in the past year my hair kicked this habit into overdrive, as my hair grew weak and began breaking off entirely too frequently. Needless to say, this loss of hair through breakage was effecting my overall volume and made my hair seem more and more flat over time. Since using this bain de force and anti usure i have seen significant decrease in hair loss. What was once clumps of hair every shower and brush is now 3 hairs at the most! Amazing.
Another benefit i have noticed about this product is the overall manageability and behavior of my hair. I am a person who used to AVOID brushing my hair because doing so would cause mass poofyness and a lack of definition in any waves i had. It has bee 2 months since i began using these products and i no longer fear brushing my hair. In fact, I now find brushing my hair a rather enjoyable experience, it is simply something i have never been able to do before wihtout looking like a ball of fluff.
I have never been so impressed by any hair products. I love this line so much that i intend on purchasing other lines for myself as well as my mother. I recommend this to everyone I know who is serious about their hair.
** I will say, while my hair does behave significantly better and displays an overall improved texture, shine and softness are a bit lacking. It is not enough to break my views on this product, but rather purchase a leave in conditioner or alternative conditioner to alternate or even a masque. **
