I used Double Wear for years before switching to Clarins Everlasting foundation, which I found gave similar coverage to DW, but felt and looked more natural. Clarins have recently reformulated Everlasting (the new formula is pretty rubbish), so I decided to give DW another go.

I believe the shade range has changed since I stopped using it quite a few years ago, so after lots of googling and asking the ladies on the MUB, I ordered 1w1 Bone, which is an ok match for my NC15 ish skintone. It's neither too light or dark, but it's definitely a touch too yellow. Coverage is just as I remember, full and covers spots, acne scarring and redness well. The formula is also very buildable and fairly easy to blend, but it does start to look a bit cakey and heavy if I apply too much. Once applied, I actually find it quite uncomfortable on my skin, it feels like I'm wearing a heavy base and my face tends to feel a bit tight, especially straight after applying. Lasting power is excellent. I use this over my Rouge Bunny Rouge Metamorphoses Mattifying Primer and it literally holds up all day on my oily skin with minimal touch ups. In fact, I'd say it actually looks better throughout the day - less heavy/matt and flat. I haven't had too many issues with removal, I normally take it off with Bioderma Sensibio or Cliniques TTDO Balm and can't say I've noticed any break out problems since I started using it again either.

Overall, I think it's a good foundation and I've yet to try another base that lasts as well as Double Wear, but I feel as though it looks and feels a bit too heavy and unnatural on my skin. The coverage is fantastic, but it highlights skin texture for me and tends to draw attention to fine lines and large pores. I'll use the rest of my current bottle, but am already on the lookout for something similar that feels more comfortable.

I do like this product as it has a good coverage however it feels a bit dry on my skin therefore I would recommend it to people who have slightly oily skin. The packaging isn't great as it doesn't come with a pump and it is pricey but overall it is a good foundation I just feel that for me, someone who has dry/normal skin, it's not the best.

Cakes on the T zone quite quickly, very heavy on the face. It's not a terrible foundation, it's ok at best

Best foundation ever! No matter how many foundations I tried I will always go back to this one! I have a light shade for winter and a darker shade for summer. If you think the finish is too matte try use a luminous primer. The result is beautiful! The coverage is medium, if you have pimples or acne this won't cover them fully. But small imperfections will be hidden so well. It doesn't smudge or move around your face. I srsly love this foundation. Price is also lovely. The only thing is you really need to buy a pump from somewhere else.....

I have been using this foundation for about 3 years now and have combination skin. I have tried applying it various ways but finally settled on applying with my fingers so I don't waste product. After a struggle initially with colour matching at various counters I wear the shade 2W2 rattan. I have an oily t-zone and it works great however I also have quite dry skin on the hairline of my forehead and boy does it show it appears as though my skin is cracked in this area.
I find I have to set this foundation with a powder otherwise it highlights all my imperfections and looks a little cakey, however once set looks truly beautiful and combined with my finishing/setting spray gives me about 4-6 hours without getting oily.

Cons:

Doesn't come with a pump which for the cost even though it has become cheaper due to popularity isn't great.

It sets quite quickly and this can lead to product wastage if you aren't careful

Cracks on dry skin

Giving this one 4 lippys :)

I don't understand why people say it is full coverage, even with three layers I couldn't get it to that. I would say it's light to medium coverage. It sinks in to my pores five minutes after application and makes them look huge. Also if you have dehydrated or dry skin don't even think about it, when my skin was dehydrated it made it so much worse. I tried with fingers, different brushes, sponges... but I couldn't make it work for me. It didn't control my oils for more than 2-3 hours. I asked my boyfriend who doesn't know much about makeup and he said that it is very light coverage and emphasizes a lot my pores. I have the lightest shade that they sell in my country (1N2 Ecru) and it's really orange and dark for me, i'm about NC/NW15. I would not recommend it if you have redness, acne scars or enlarged pores. However, it worked for my mom, who has dry/combo skin.

This foundation is terrible. It looks greasy and paint like and it breaks up on my face almost right after its been applied. The coverage isn't as good as most of the reviews I've heard either

I was excited to buy this foundation after reading so many positive reviews! However, it was awful! I have quite dry skin and it just clung to and enhanced my bad areas!! It was so cakey as well. I would not buy this product again

Second favourite to lancomes teint idole. Very close second favourite. The only thing is I think that the shade I wear which is the lightest one is just maybe that bit too light and the next one up is too dark so I'm stuck :( but it goes on super smooth, lovely formula- very wet and watery but in reality goes on with great coverage. Can't fault the coverage for this one, wears brilliantly through the day, no need for touch ups. I use this with the primer - primer for it makes such a difference - deffo recommend both.

Great price for the amount of makeup that you get. I like to apply this with a beauty blender and with a pump and a half using the MAC pump, I get absolute coverage. This is my every day foundation because it is reasonably priced and has great coverage. I love the color range. I found a color that is a perfect match for me. I do recommend using a primer if you are in humid weather.
It does break up near my nose but that always happens with me because I wear glasses. I like to set this with a translucent powder. It definitely stays in place and is thin enough to wear around the eyes under concealer.
This and the Hourglass are my absolute favorite foundations. This is a better color match for me but I love them both. This is also a better price.
