Origins liquid lip colors are by far my favorite glosses. I've tried many other glosses from high end department store brands to inexpensive drugstore brands and nothing has compared to these glosses. Personally, I hate sticky, tacky glosses (MAC lipglass) but I also like lasting power. These glosses come in beautiful shades, Soft Sizzle and Caramel Candy being my favorite. They feel great on your lips and they last.

So I went to the mall for a lipgloss. I originially was going for bare escentuals sweet pink...but it looked way too much like my merle norman cotton candy. It had that same pearly sheen, which I love, but don't need two. Then I walked into Macy's. The lady at Origins is really nice and not vulture stalkish like. I feel really bad for Origins because it never seems like anyone is over there, when all the other brands are swarmed. So I decided to check it out. They have a great selection of eyeshadows and pretty blush colors. But then my eyes caught this lipgloss. WOW! What a beautiful color. I love pink anyway. So I just bought it, without trying it on. But I love it. It has a nice minty cool taste and the color is a perfect light pink that is very complimenting on my fair skin. Would definitely purchase this color and maybe other colors again! This is my new favorite pink.

I can't live without this lip gloss! I always find myself coming back to this one. I love the texture, colour and lovely minty-fresh smell.

Great summer lip gloss. Love the color, and the minty taste. I just bought the pink halo blush and this lip gloss color matches perfectly. Starting to love the Origins makeup. This is better than a lot of the other glosses listed here that got better reviews. I've tried a lot of lip gloss and I will keep buying the Origins.

I've used many, many lipglosses, but this is by far the best. I've used it on and off for years and always come back to it. I love it. It gives the illusion of fuller lips--the gloss? light reflection?? Tingle?? Who knows, but I love the look. My lips look great with this on---fuller and soft, with a beautiful subtle, soft pink sheen.
UPDATE: (July '07) This is still my all time favorite and I've bought many, many other lip products since my original review.
UPDATE: Feb.2009 - still my all time favorite lip gloss. Looks natural without being made-up.

My search for the perfect pink lipgloss is finally over! Soft sizzle is a gorgeous, shiny light pink. It;s light enough to make lips look fuller and has a slight shimmer to it. It's dark enough that it doesn't wash me out but instead looks great with every make up look you can think of. GORGEOUS!!

Well, all that can be said for this gloss is that it is the answer to all my prayers. Allow me to explain:



A big problem with me and my gloss purchases is that they tend to be either too light, too dark, or too cheaply made. This shade is absolutely *perfect* for me because it is a pale pink that goes on semi-sheer, isn't milky yet isn't bright either. The color is simply awesome, and infused with a slight hint of shimmer, you really couldn't go wrong.


Secondly, $14 for an Origins lipgloss is reasonable, at least for someone like me who has spent $25 for glosses that didn't even hit the spot. The container is very similar to MAC lipglasses, and while the formula is less sticky, I find the staying power to be nearly, if not just as good. The tube does not leak under any cirumstances, and I cannot express in words how much I appreciate this. No one likes to open their Versace make-up bag and find gooey pink liquid strewn all over it. No such trouble here.


I would not mind spending some of my spring break savings on more Origins glosses, as they seem promising. I can assure anyone and everyone who enjoys pink glosses that they will adore this.

This color looks very pink in it's container, but is really subtle and nice. It really looks great over lip liners. My favorite lip gloss in a long time!

When I first tried this on, I thought it was too blah, and was about to send it back. When I tried it the next day, though, it gave my lips an incredible pink gleam, and made them look plumper, I swear! I usually don't like frosty glosses, but this one is lovely. It would look especially good on blondes, I think, but any PPP can pull it off, probably. It smells wonderfully pepperminty and gives lips a cool tingle that lasts quite a while.

This is a gorgeous color for anyone who enjoys a more subtle lipcolor. In normal lighting, it looks like a shimmery/lightly frosted sheer, soft pink, but in direct light, you can see the tiny multi-colored shimmer it has throughout. It has a minty, refreshing feeling on my lips, and is definitly a gloss I could wear everyday.

This gloss is highly enjoyable, I must say. I love the glossiness of it and the fact that it's not sticky at all. On my lips, it shows as a juicy pink with teeny silver sparkles, definitely more subdued/sheer than what it appears like in the bottle. I love the tingliness of it and I usually despise mint. Love this!

Rave x 50000! This product is SOOO great. The smell is fabulous! The perfect amount of mint. It makes your lips (and you!) feel all tingly. The color is miraculous, too. Ah, the colour looks soooooooo pretty with my bright pink sweat. It has this almost undetectable silver crystals in it, in my opinion, more subtle and prettier than MAC oyster girl/Nyphette. Even I just got this shade for a couple of days, each time I look at the mirrow I have this impulse to run out to buy more, storing up just in case they are ever going to stop making it. Doesn't work with my every outfit. It's winter after all, it can be pale when I put my heavy and darker coats on.

I lOVE this colour and most of all, the taste! The mint is So refreshing on the lips. The colour is a soft pink..so pretty! It's quite small, but holds lots. I atually think that the rest o fthe colours are worth getting, but I'm going slowly ONE BY ONE..starting with this one. Try it, it's great!

This is a pretty soft natural pink color. Nothing special, but very natural. Great for those girls who want to add a little oomph to your look without looking like they have makeup on. Also, this feels great on the lips, very minty. I wouldn't repurchase this simpy because I have a ton of pink glosses similar to this.

This is a nice, sheer, shimmering pink with a good amount of pigment :) My lips are pretty pigmented so it gives more of a tinge of pink, but on non-pigmented lips im sure this would show up close to the color in the tube.

This looks deceptively bright in the tube, but goes on as a very soft pink with shimmer. It gives you just a hint of the soft pink color, with lots of multi-color shimmer. Origins liquid lip colors also have a nice minty taste/feel.

i LOVE this color! it gives a definite color to my lips (just wearing it alone), such a pretty pink to wear during the spring/summer. if you want GLOSS, this is a def GLOSS! it tends to feel sticky and gooey in the beginning, but that's how liquid glosses are. the best part is the MINTY cool feeling you get w/this. i feel like i'm tasting chocolate mint!! (even tho there's no chocolate flavor to it!) the staying power isn't bad, wont' last you all night, but you're good for a couple of hours w/o eating or drinking involved. i like the wand application cuz you dont need a mirror to put it on well. its good alone or it can add a beautiful gloss over your favorite lipsticks! will buy again!
