Pricing: Expensive ($75 for the large pump bottle)
Packaging: Small bottle is ok, twist top that can get messy. The economy size large bottle has a pump which is great, less mess, less hassle.

Overall: Love this product and what it does for my nightmare hair. I have half sstraight/ half curly hair. Course hair but thin-esque. Plus we just moved into a new building in the city with soft water and my hair was eing weighed down at the root, overnight oil slick. I couldn't beat it. UNTIL, i used this. It totally helps my roots. Really works well to coat my curls and make them shiny and great or if I attempt to wear it straight it definitely helps with the roots.

Pros:
large bottle pump
Helps curly hair look great
Helps with scalp/ root/ oil control
Great overall product

Cons:
Price
Small bottle packaging
Too think for fine hair

HG!!!!! I will NEVER use anything else on my hair ever again. I have very thick naturally curly hair that has a tendency to dryness. However! With this shampoo my hair is so unbelievably soft it’s like silk! Less tangles, more moisture, more definition in my curl and added shine! I am so in love with this I don’t believe that words do it justice. Plus it smells wicked! I always have people telling me my hair smells really good. I purchased the 34oz bottle and I have had it for 4 months now and I’m only a little past ½ done the bottle! It lasts forever and a little goes a very long way.
If you have natural curls and need a HG shampoo look no further! LOVE IT <3

Love it - moiturizes and makes my curls lay perfectly. I went through it way too fast though - in about 5 weeks. I think they have reformulated the curl shamppo anyway. I suggest trying Wella System Professional Repair Shampoo and the 30-Second Repair Conditioner instead.

Hmmmm, this was just, well.. hmmmm. Ok, I purchased it along with the conditioner. Together they were relatively moisturising and for me, did their job of defining my curls. The only problem being, i received 80's perm style curls and that's definitely NOT what i ordered. I know my hair and i know it is not supposed to look like that! They both smell nice but not like the serum if thats what youre expecting. I dont like the way my hair looks after using this routine so i will not be buying again.

It Keeps my curls(permed) curly. I use it with the conditioner and the styling lotion of the Elasto-Curl line and they are great. My hair is shiny and moist. Best shampoo for curly (well... at least for permed hair;I couldn't say for the naturally curly hair)!!

I have been using this shampoo since it has been launched and it is amazing. I have thick and curl hair . The price is quite high, however 1 bottle may last around 2 months and therefore it is not too expensive in the end.

I have been using this stuff for a year and a half now and still love it, but not the price tag! worth a go for those with curly hair!

still using this, but now alternating with nioxin to get my hair super clean every now and again since i've stopped washing EVERY day (i'm easing myself into it by doing every other day - i hear it's better for the hair to cleanse a bit less often)

ok, i think this may be my splurge...my hair LOVES this shampoo. i have a ton of coarse, wavy/curly hair that easily frizzes and poofs, and rarely find something that doesn't dry my hair out. i use this, my regular conditioner (all soft), and a combination of B&B curl conscious with some gel and diffuse....wow. my hair is shiny with nicely shaped curls, no frizz. the only crappy part is how little you get in a bottle, how much shampoo i need to use, and how much it friggin costs. sigh. for special occasions....

I use this shampoo in conjunction with the Elasto-curl rinse-out conditioner, and occasionally the leave-in conditioner. It leaves my wavy to curly hair beautifully shiny--spontaneous compliment shiny--smooth and frizz-free with defined waves and ringlets. I haven't experienced any buildup whatsoever, but it is the case that my hair will look greasy at the end of the day when my body is in one of its oh-so-wonderful oilier phases. The normal-size product packaging is a real pain in the rump, with an oversized, clunky screw-on lid, but the salon-sized pump bottle is awesome. It'll set you back a major chuck of change though. All in all, I recommend it. The Elasto-curl series is the best curl-definition series I've tried, and I've tried a lot.

Okay, so I guess I am the only person on here that didn't care for this shampoo. Aside from being extremely expensive, I didn't think it accomplished anything more than my usual Matrix shampoo. Plus, the Matrix one is less than half the price. I will try to use this up, so I don't feel like I completely wasted the money. I won't rebuy though. Sorry to all the lovers of this...

Also, I agree with the comment about this giving buildup. I have used it for about 2 weeks and my hair is so heavy and yucky! I had to get a clarifying shampoo to clean my hair up.

I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO. Very expensive - but you have to use very little to get a great lather.
Makes my hair shiny and soft...with ample curl and volume.
As much as the price would scare anyone away, try at least one bottle!!! It might change your hair
for the better. No frizzy fly-aways for me anymore! All week at work people have been telling me how great my hair is looking lately!! Will definitely repurchase!

HG!!! Amazing!!! I have wavy, color treated hair. This gives me the most gorgeous, defined waves, like barbie doll hair (the way they used to draw her back in the 70's, remember?). My hair is moisturized, shiny, not weighed down in the least. I just scrunch it after my shower with the green Kerastase volumactive mousse and voila! Soft, sexy, voluminous beach girl hair. Also, the smell is incredible. My fiance smelled me using this and said "Ooh, it smells like tea!" and then he even used some! LOVE!!! BTW I use this with the matching conditioner, and I also give it 5 lippies. This stuff is da bomb! I have used nearly every single one of the Kerastase lines (nutritive, soleil, calm, age recharge) and this wins HANDS DOWN. Love!!!

I was so thrilled by the results provided by the matching rinse-out conditioner that I just HAD to try the shampoo. Boy, was I right! This stuff, coupled with the conditioner, makes my long, wavy, somewhat dry hair sooo soft, bouncy and healthy looking! The curls last all day and it adds a lot of volume to my hair. I don't use it every day, though, only when I wanna look my best. The rest of the time I use Ducray's extra gentle shampoo. Definitey a staple !

Argh... I loved this in the shower, loved it and I am so sad about what happened afterwards...it made my scalp go absolutely crazy!! This left my hair extremely moisturized in the shower and I truly loved it until maybe an hr. or two afterwards when my scalp started burning and itching really, really bad...blah!! I'm so sad. I figured in the shower...Yes! I finally found a great routine for my hair...guess not! To be honest, I have never had this kind of reaction to a shampoo ever. If anything I usually get the dry scalp and flakes due to the harsh sulfates, but never burning, never. I read the last review and thought, geez, that's not good. I have no idea what's in this shampoo, but my scalp def. hates it...boo-hoo! Sorry, I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else, so only one-lippie from me on this.***UPDATE**** Yea!! I'm not allergic to this after all. I think it was one of the styling products I used. I tried this again and it didn't bother my scalp at all!! So this is def. a keeper for me!

This is a very good shampoo, the best in the Kerastase line if you ask me and I have tried some of them. I dont have curly hair but dry and wavy hair that needs a lot of moisture. This shampoo gives moisture and cleanses pretty gentle. It has a lovely smell and I have not noticed any build up from this yet. Works great with the Elasto-Curl rinse out conditioner.

I love this shampoo. I adore its packaging. It comes in a little golden screw-top bottle which I suppose is inconvenient when you're in a hurry, but since I take leisurely showers, it's not really a problem for me. I'm also a major fan of its yummy scent, something like tea or "grass jelly". Very fresh. Moisturises, spreads easily blah blah. I love it.

Edit: Am on an editing drive today. I love my little golden man, he completely repaired the damage caused by the natural source's hi-shine shampoo and conditioner. For something that purports to be naturopathic, the shampoo and conditioner built up like pools of water on a high-school bathroom floor. Welcome back, Elasto Man.

both this and elasto-curl conditioner are probably the best hair products i've ever found. it makes my hair really soft and smooth (i have wavy/curly hair that can get a little frizzy and coarse sometimes) when used with the conditioner. good scent too.

I have thick hair that has a slight wave that I like to enhance. It also tends to be dry, but with a sometimes oily scalp. I received this, along with some other Kerastase products as a gift when I last went to my salon for a haircut. When I went in for the cut (a trim) my hair looked pretty dry, and the color actually looked bad because of the dryness. Anyway, since washing with this product along with the Elasto-Curl conditioner and styling creme, people have been commenting on what they think is a new color job. I've had comments on how healthy and shiny my hair looks. These products also add some thickness and wave to my hair. Even the day after, I just have a loose wavy tousled look - I can get away without styling it. Huge rave from me. The price is steep at $25, but I've tried hi and low brands for my type of hair and this is the best.

At first, I really liked this product. A little goes a long way. But over time, the build-up on my hair was unbearable. No amount of clarifying helped. I'm kind of glad that I don't like it since it is so expensive!!!
