I was surprised by how flattering this shade is with my cool coloring. Visionary is a nudish, pinkish, brownish, mauvish shade with a hint of shimmer and a creamy consistency. This is a great shade for daily wear, and I think it's neutral enough to be flattering on just about anyone.

No problems with texture or scent. However, this light, glossy frosted plum was seriously frosted on me - it gave me 80s flashbacks. Even when I was wearing a plum colored shirt, the color wasn't working. I think it would be better on a blonde or a brunette, who looks good wearing pink clothing, instead of someone auburn/pale like me.

Like a lot of other people I got this as a GWP (it is the Color Design - Visionary Sheen version). It sat in my drawer for months until today when I was bored with what I have been using and tried it on. This is a strange lipstick. In the tube it looks like a medium brown. I hate brown lipstick on me and always wish it would look great but it never does so my plan was to try it on and decide I hate it and toss it. So I put it on and topped with some gloss and went about doing things. Later when I looked in the mirror it was pinky-brown-plum but really pretty. It is almost like it morphed from one color to another. So glad I tried it before banishing it to the trash. Really, to look at the tube you would think it was brown. I guess that proves that trying makeup on is the only way to reliably buy colors that are right for you. I never expect lipstick to really last so I can't comment on how long it wears but in terms of color it is a keeper.

My HG light brown lipstick. It's actually a plum brown that's pretty universal as it also looks great on my blond, blue-eyed friend (I'm a LOLA, light olive, light in winter, tan in summer). It's a sheer and lightweight lipstick which has great coverage. I usually wear it alone without gloss, as it is a bit glossy. I was lucky to discover it with a GWP.

GWP.

The colour is gorgeous, just a hint of shimmer, glides smoothly on the lips, and has fairly good staying power.

I have the lightest of all porcelain skin colours, blue eyes, and candy apple red hair - this colour is slightly a little too pink for me, but for the most part gorgeous. Dab a little gold lipgloss on top and it becomes magnificent.

Would i buy it again - hell no. I'm an avoid follower of makeup expiry dates and, having to throw out lipstick after having them for a year deters me from buying such expensive lipstick. If i used it every day, i would definitely buy it - but since i dont, drugstore lipstick for me!

I'm always searching for the elusive YLBB color. Many shades out there are close, but I could never quite find the perfect one. Well, I think my search is finally over. This lipstick, which I received in a GWP at Carson's, is incredible. The texture is light and moist, without being too glossy, and the color is gorgeous. It's a brownish-pink, midtone neutral, with a touch of shimmer. I'm very fair skinned, with brown eyes, blonde hair and pale lips, and I don't care for vivid colors or screaming pinks, so I have a hard time finding lipsticks that work on me. This isn't too dark, isn't too light, isn't too brown, yet isn't too pink or orange -- it really is the perfect pink-brown neutral.

ETA: I'm taking off one star because I find this to be a bit too light in tone as the day wears on. It's still a lovely color, though!

Note: this review is for the new formula Colour Design in Visionary, not the Sheer Magetic formula (now discontinued?) Received this as GWP and wow, I love it! This is a great MLBB nude color on me--like Aishwarya beige, but a little pinkier. Where was this color a couple of months ago when I wasted lots of money searching for an HG nude? Oh well, glad to have it now. This is a great everyday color that is subdued and does not wash me out. I'll buy this when my GWP runs out.

Received this in GWP recently (the review is for new Color Design SHEEN collection).
I don't like this color on me. I'm NW20, green eyes, blondish hair. The color is way too dark and unflattering on me. I also don't the texture, it's not moisturizing at all.

Such a wonderful sheer muted/browned plum/berry. Glossy and conditioning with low-key shimmer and the trademark Lancome rose scent. To answer the last review, the new Rouge Sensation version is very comparable; maybe a touch more pigment, but it's still the same basic shade. I have very fair skin and dark brown hair...this shade livens up my face while still looking natural. The sheerness, slight shimmer and glossy texture make lips look full and healthy. HUGE rave.

I know the amazing SHEER MAGNETIC VISIONARY has been discontinued but is the newly launched ROUGE SENSATION version the same colour? I would be interested to hear anyone's comments on the new shade.
The original sheer magnetic version is probably my favourite all time lipstick.

Oh, I don't know what is going on. I don't know if my one and only favorite lipstick has been discontined. Well, I have had this lipstick for a while now and it has lasted. But now that I would like to repurchase it I can't find it. I wonder if is now under a different name. Oh well, this has to be the best shade of lipstick I have ever had in my life. It is a pinkish brown color. But I have never found another shade to look so good as this one. I think this lipstick would look good on just about any one. It is just beautiful, but sheer not heavy at all. And I loved the nice rose like scent it had. It complimented my fair medium skin color. I just love this color and hope I find it.

All you ladies that love SM in Visionary-get to your local Lancome counter tout de suite and stock up on the leftovers because they are discontinuing your beloved holy grail (mine as well). this is perhaps the only lipstick in my life that I have ever entirely used up and had to repurchase. Many of the colors no longer available locally for me are still available online. UPDATE**nevermind about the discontinued status. found this now as a "Rouge Sensation" color at the lancome counter, named "Sheer Visionary"

This is my current holy grail for everyday lip color. I have very pale cool-toned skin, brown eyes and dark brown hair, and this MLBB color works beautifully for me. It's very flattering, but subtle enough for the workplace.

This is my number one staple. Above my pressed powders and MAC/UD eyeshadows this product, Lancome's Visionary, is the one thing I could not live without. If it was going to be discontinued I'd buy 20 and preserve them. I am pale with light blue eyes and dark hair and thin lips. This is the only lipstick that matches my coloring and makes lips standout, in a good way. Not tacky, not subtle, just perfect.

Got this in a GWP and was quite reticent to try it. It's a sheer, weensy bit shimmery, plummy brown (or browny-plum, who can tell!) and it's actually a great YLBB on my CCC NC45 complexion. Very moisturizing, and similarly textured to MAC Lustres. Nice surprise!

Overall rating =4! The colour was a very nice plummy brown and was a perfect match for my Asian NC30 skin. I got this in a swap for GWPs and was very happy with it. Would I purchase it again? Probably not, I will wait for the GWP. (Explains my nick eh?)

Lancome does make great lipstick! This is quite moisturizing, and the color is lovely. Sort of a plum-brown color, that is not too dark for my very pale skin.

Great natural color, would work for about everyone. Sheer Magnetic is quite a bit lighter feeling & lasting than other Lancome listicks but are also more shiny too.

I love this color and its name. Visionary is a good neutral choice for my pale skin when I'm going for a less obviously made-up look. Fills out lips without the drama of more intense color. Creamy smooth too.

This is a pretty medum plummy brownish color that's sheer enough to look like a my lips but better color. Very nice and some opalescence so that it doesn't look "flat." Great everyday color.
