I feel like the only one that this product just does not work on. I bought on of the pencils in the colour 'Espresso' and it just does not last at all on my lashline. I even tried putting on primer and setting my eyelid with pressed powder after applying it and still....didn't last more than a few hours. It seems to last okay on my bottom lashline but other than that, I don't have any luck with it. That being said, I do have really oily eyelids so that might be why. I guess I'm better off with liquid liner.

This eyeliner doesn't get enough praise. This is one of the best waterproof pencil liners I have used! It's staying power trumps that of UD 24/7 glide ons! I own 4 UD 24/7s and only 1 of this Marcelle pencil in Indigo which is beautiful dark blue-purple colour that is great for everyday if you don't want to wear black liner. I wear this on the lower-lash line and not on the waterline so I am basing my review on it's performance there. (Personally I don't like the look of liner on my waterline as it looks too harsh for my eyes). Compared to other pencil liners this isn't that creamy. They clearly do not glide on like butter. It takes about 2-3 swipes to get the intensity I want. One swipe is quite sheer. I do notice that you need to keep the cover on this or the tip can dry out and you need to sharpen off the whole area for it to work again. For a drugstore eyeliner this surprised me. I use this when I don't want to think about my makeup during the day. It lasted me from 7am-7pm without out smearing, smudging, or giving me raccoon eyes. It did slightly fade in intensity but at the end of the day most of it is still there on my lower lash line. For the price and performance this is worth the $7-8. Plan to buy other colours. The only other drugstore pencil liner that could rival this is Gosh's velvet touch waterproof but that smudges on me and I have dry skin.

I bought this in the bronze/brown colour. I have asian lids and they get very oily so I was looking for something that wont transfer to my upper lids. This product may be waterproof but its not smudge proof. It smudges almost immediately. Not very happy. The color is pretty though but not worth the buy for me.

I found out about this eyeliner through a friend who always had the most perfect eyeliner day after day. I purchased it for myself and initially hated it because it hardly showed up on my waterline. I gave it another try after swiping it on my waterline a few times which warmed it up and it showed up the pure stark black I was hoping for. A better idea is to warm it up on the back of your hand like another reviewer mentions below. The trick to get it to last all day I discovered is to focus your eyeliner where your waterline meets your lower eyelashes (the very edge of your waterline), not just on the waterline itself, this way it will literally last ALL DAY. I used to use the Annabelle Kohl eyeliner on my waterline and it would travel to my undereye area leaving me with raccoon eyes within an hour maximum.

This is okay....I was looking for something that I'd be able to sharpen, as the Revlon Colorstay is difficult to get a fine point, but works awsome. I was hoping this would be my HG, but it is not. While I can sharpen to a decent point, it smudges like no tomorrow. I do use a primer, and it still travels all over my lids, and also applies in a patchy manner. There are little areas where the liner "skips" and I have to go over the area multiple times to acheive the look, but then it thickens the line. Bad choice for me...

For an eyeliner pencil, I really liked this, it doesn't stay on the waterline too long, but I can do touch-ups here and there. I found that it doesn't NOT smudge at all and it's very smooth to apply. The only problem that I have is that whenever I sharpen it, the tip stays the same. By that I mean that yes, it sharpens and gives me more room to use but the actually cream in the pencil doesn't sharpen. It's still round making it harder to make a thin line on my eyes, either way, for a pencil, I really like this. Very nice, would repurchase but keep exploring your options :)

It's a mehh liner. I didn't feel ripped off, but there are many better. I've finally found my HG - GOSH liners are incredible. Best on the market. GET ONE!

I loooooooooove these!! I have the black which is a staple for me, I use it just about every day. The pencil liner applies so well, its creamy formula makes the application so smooth and easy. It aslo applies great in the waterline and actually stays there for hours. However, be careful when applying: let it dry a couple of seconds because as it is a creamy formula it needs some time to dry to a non budge liner. It is also easy to take off when needed to. The colour selection is mostly neutral but quite good and the price is great too (about 8,69$)
Oh and also: never ever forget to put the cap on, otherwise your liner will dry and become next to impossible to use!

At first when I bought this, I hated it! It smudged a LOT and I had to constantly rub underneath my eye to get rid of the smudges. I only resorted to this when my other pencil liner ran out. Thank gosh though, because if I hadn't given this another try, it would've end up in my trash can!

After giving it a second chance, I discovered that putting powder underneath the eyes really helps with the smudging problems. I now use this liner quite often; it's definitely one of the better ones I've tried The product goes on silky-smooth and I loooove gliding it on. Also, the eyeliner stays in place throughout the entire day, migrating only a little bit, but that isn't a problem because it's barely noticable.

I got this pencil liner in Deep Charcoal quite a while ago and I've used hardly any. It's really messy and goes on with slight difficulty (I really have to drag it across my delicate skin to get it to show up). Not only that but it actually melted on to the plastic casing, which I've never had happen with another eyeliner. The only good thing is that it offers natural, believable colour when dotted between my lashes and seemed to last a decent amount of time. However I'd had it for over a year so I threw it out.

I purchased this eyeliner in the shade "Moka", which is a cool dark brown. This is a staple to my daily eye-makeup, since it is a versatile color (can look amazing with purples, plums, mauve, and any shade of brown). The application is neat, and it has great staying power (unlike many other eyeliners I've possessed) I'm falling in love with Marcelle products!

This is a great drugstore find. The texture is smooth and creamy and does not budge. Compared to MAC pencils, I find that these stay put longer and don't migrate. I bought Mulberry which is a beautiful deep shimmery purple. Actually, it is quite similar to MAC Macroviolet fluidline (which I also have). I love the Macroviolet colour but sometimes it applies unevenly and its not great to bring for touchups. So I bought this colour as well and it is great for a smokey eye or for a neutral eye look with a pop of colour. I was tempted to buy the Midnight blue colour but it was also too similar to the stila smudge pot liner that I have. I also almost bought the deep green colour which is similar to MAC Tarnish but as I have that and it is still quite large, I am going to wait a while. The bronze is also beautiful and shimmery. Every colour I swapped on my hand were beautiful intense colours. Anyways, I am quite impressed with the quality and texture so I will be repurchasing more colours and would recommend Mulberry to anyone.

If you're in need of an inexpensive eyeliner pencil and want good pigmentation and staying power, then I think you all would be better off buying a Prestige waterproof pencil or Revlon Colorstay. A thoughtful swapper included one of these Marcelle liners as an extra and, initially, I was pleased by the rich pigmentation and brilliant color ("Forest" which is not aqua, not olive, not pine, but a true forest-green) and unbelievably silky texture. The pencil fairly glides over the lid without the need to press down at all. The pencil also comes with a little rubber smudger thing at the other end, and is altogether (in my understanding) inexpensive and readily available. But (and you all knew there was a 'but')...this. Thing. Smudges!

Yes, it smudges--smudges badly. The incredible pigmentation, which at first seems like a gift, turns out to be a nightmare since the pencil has no staying power and wanders everywhere. You'll reach up to wipe off a stray bit of liner and end up with a huge, aqua smear on your face which will only come off after vigorous rubbing. Without a primer (which my dry lids usually never need) and without touching my eyes (difficult for me since I wear contacts and have allergies), this stuff stayed on for about 40 minutes before it began lightly smudging beneath my eyes. Just from blinking!

Urk. It seems to not want to stay on my face, yet it's difficult to remove fully without a lot of eye makeup remover. Even afterwards, though, I had to wash my face very carefully and use more remover to get it all completely off. So the liner is waterproof insofar as it does seem to (kinda) resist water + soap. But it's useless in terms of stick-to-itiveness. In sum, if this eyeliner had nearly as much staying power as pigment, then you Canucks would have a gem. But as it stands, I would avoid this.

Not as good as Lise Watier but also only about half the price. One of the better cheaper eyeliners out there though.

Considering it's $8 CAD for a really short pencil, I just wasn't satisfied. It didn't stay on any better than NYC's regular pencil liners (which are only $2 for a much longer stick, might I add). If I use Marcelle's waterproof liner on my waterline, it runs at the corners of my eyes. NYC's will fade throughout the day and some will end up in the corners of my eyes, but it won't run. This product just isn't worth the price. I ended up throwing it in my junk makeup bag and went back to my NYC pencil again. I think an eyeliner needs to be fairly wax-like in texture in order to be truly water resistant and this stuff is just too soft. Also, NYC's works better on the eyelid when set with powder eyeshadow. The powder sticks to it really well.

This is a great, decently priced waterproof eyeliner. Infact, all of Marcelles liners are quite nice. It doesn't smudge, it stays on, and it IS waterproof, my only beef is that it could go on a BIT more smoother as I still have to tug on my eyelid to get a smooth line across. My HG waterproof liner is Lise Watier, however, this will do if I'm in a bind and or on a limited budget. This is the 2nd best liner I've come across. UPDATE: I think that its just the brown colour I have that is not so smooth. I just bought the black liner and it goes on SO nicely! I can even line the rims of my eyes and the product does not transfer all over my eye area! LOVE THESE! I'm uping the rating to 5 star! Thanks Marcelle!

My almost HG liner...i really like this it last and lasts...although it does smudge a little but not when you put powder underneath. I got the midnight black which is a true black not grey black (ew) ..and the only thing that could be better about it is that it should be easier to sharpen..(i can never get it needle thin) but anyways i just use a Q tip when the line is too thick

This is soft and easy to apply. I got this in taupe for a very natural look. Stayed put after an intense workout and a quick shower at the gym (as long as you don't rub it). IMO better than Clinique and Lancome. Highly recommended especially for the price.
