Because my skin is rather florid already, I can have a difficult time finding blushes. Before a Chanel makeup artist informed me that I needed a brown-based blush, I was sorta lost. Enter JC in Mocha. This shade is a gorgeous, plummy brown with a slight shimmer. It is easy to put on without becoming too garish. As another reviewer noted, it melts right into the skin without a lot of effort. The only thing I don't like about it is that it can also melt off about halfway through the day. However, it's not too much trouble to top it up, and it's so beautiful that doing so is a pleasure. This blush has that faint, rosy scent that most Chanel products have. But, I think it's quite pleasant.

This is such a beautiful soft plum with a slight gold shimmer. I love the glow it gives and how this, like all the JC's, just melt into the skin instead of sitting on top of it like some other blushes. I actually prefer apply this blush with the little application that comes in the package. Normally I hate apps but this is such a small fit that is allows for a perfect sculpted cheekbone. I just start at the top of my cheeks by my temples and go downwards and it really brings out your bone structure without a lot of work. I heard this color may be discontiuned, and I really hope not. This is one of the most beautiful blushes Chanel makes :(

Out of all the various types of make-up available, I love buying blush. I have more compacts of blush than I do any other type of make-up. That being said, there are only a few blushes I reach for on a regular basis with Chanel's Joues Contraste in Mocha being one of them. I am fair with a neutral to yellow undertone and I find most brown-based blushes turn muddy on me (I'm looking at you Armani Sheer blushes). Mocha is such a complex color - brown, rose and plum with slight golden shimmer - that it stays true on my skin and lasts for an entire day without touch-ups. It is my go-to blush for a smokey eye as it highlights my cheeks without ever looking overdone. Love!

I was very lucky to obtain this in a blog sale recently. I often use more peachy, pinky blushes so this was definitely a stand out amongst them. It applies so smoothly and even if it seems I've put alot on, it still looks pretty. Oh, Chanel you make me crazy sometimes.

I have been using this fab blusher for awhile now. It looks perfect for my NC20 complexion. Yes it has shimmer, but not disco ball level. Think more upscale and grown up. I apply with my Mac 188, because of the high pigmentation.

This is a pretty, neutral blush for my NC35 skintone. Love the color and the soft shimmer. What I don't like is the tendency for my Chanel blush/eyeshadows to crack. I paid too much money for it not be able to withstand being carried around in my makeup bag. Other than that, this is a nice blush.

This blush is amazing! It stays on all day and it is gorgeous. A little goes a long way, so it lasts a looong time. It is worth every penny. I am so glad i found it, it's just perfection.

Let me begin by saying Chanel's Joue Contraste are, IMO, the highest quality powder blushes out there. This particular color, however, did not work for me at all. It is beautiful in the pan but unfortunately looked orangey on me. Also, since I'm getting abit older (43) I feel I need a lighter, brighter look in blush then I used to and this is probably too dark for me even if it hadn't had this orange effect. I gave it a 3 because it did not work at all for me (I, in fact, swapped it away) but is still a high quality product. My favs right now are narcisse (for outdoorsy flushed look, rose bronze (professional, polished look) and rose petale (somewhere in between). Skin tone is olive, nc30-35.

This is prob my second favorite of the chanel JC blushes (first is Narcisse). Won't add to what everybody already said I just love all my chanel blushes and everything about them: packaging, pigmentation, scent. Uhmm I do hate the brush and the price though but they're so worthy. I apply mocha with my Mac 187 and then finish with my chanel #6 powder brush. I find it to look very natural on me (NC25-30, chanel TI shell 1.5 and chanel DPC creme beige 1.5 )

I had the makeup artist at the Chanel counter do my makeup and she used this shade (mocha). I had NO intention of buying a blush that day, but loved the way it looks. It feels silky and stays on all day. Will definitely buy again....

I was at the Chanel line earlier. I saw all the beautiful colors and was tempted to get one. I got Tempted Beige because I love the natural look. On me, it looks more plummy but it's still a very beautiful color. I wear Mac powder NC35 and I think it has more of a golden tone.

Chanel blushes are pure luxury. They give the most gorgeous effect. Perfect celebrity cheekbones. Mocha is one of my favorites, second only to Tempting Beige. This is like a darker brownish slightly plummy pink blush which I would never ever look twice at had it not been for MUA and my recent obsession with Chanel blushes. Sweeping this number a little bit under my cheekbones makes my face look much more sculpted, defined and sophisticated. When I wear this, as with Tempting Beige, the compliments flood in. I feel amazing when I wear this. This is a great neutral blush, perfect for anyone who wants to define their face beautifully and look sophisticated, as opposed to cute-dolly cheeks. (Love that look too but this blush is not for that.) 5 lippies, easily. And again, worth every single cent. Nay, its worth even more.

Absolutely LOVE this blush! I've always loved Chanel blushes - they stay on longer than any other for me. I used to use Desert Plum Bronze and then tried Cocoa. Mocha is such an amazing color though and by far my favorite. I've tried many blushes and I think this is the most flattering shade - I'm definitely hooked! I tried it over some bronzer as well and loved it that way the most.

Age: 36-43   Skin: Sensitive, Fair-Medium, Neutral   Hair: Brunette, Straight, Fine   Eyes: Green

Ok, first about me: I have sensitive combination skin with mild rosacea. I'm a PPP with medium brown hair (red & gold natural highlights) and light green eyes. (in prescriptives I'm a R/O Vanilla, in Chanel I use shell vitalumiere) I have used a lot of blushes in my day (Nars, bobbi brown, prescriptives, clinique, Jane) and this is one that I find myself reaching for over and over again. It goes with everything!! It looks like a mauvey-brown with subtle shimmer in the compact and it goes on just beautiful, doesn't clash with my rosacea at all. It stays on all day too. No touchups. I don't swipe my brush on the blush, I dab it on and then the color gets in the middle of the bristles and it's easier to swirl/blend onto my cheeks. This is expensive but at the rate I'm going, I'll still be using this compact in 3 years. The SA at the chanel counter put Mystery on me, so I bought it but when I got home I found that they had given me Incognito. I took it back and saw Mocha. When I swatched it on my wrist compared to Mystery it was pretty similar, but for some reason the "quilted" blushes are harder to pick up color for me. So I went with Mocha and I'm not sorry. Love it!

Mocha is a beautiful plummy brown with iridescent shimmer. That is what it looked like swatched on my hand. (It looks like a more amped up version of NARS Madly.) However, when applied, it turned reddish on my NC20 skin. Definitely try this on your face before you buy it. If you have yellow undertones, this may turn into a splotchy, brick red.

I love the texture and colors of chanel blushes. The packaging is absolutely beautiful, too. Unfortunately, this product made my skin break out, so it was immediately returned. For reference, I have sensitive, combination skin.

i so wanted to love this, but it looks really bad on me. after falling in love with reflex, i "needed" another chanel blush and chose mocha. it looks really pretty in the pan, but horrible on my face. it brings out the redness in my skin and made it look patchy, like before i put on foundation. i gave it a 2 anyways cuz of the awesome texture.

Love this blush! A saleswoman at the Chanel counter talked me into purchasing this product when I was in my second year of college- my friends thought I was crazy for spending so much money on a blush, but I made NO mistake. I got so many compliments on my face that I will never stop using this color. It seems that it would be flattering for all skin tones, and a little goes a long way. Chanel blushes seem to last forever. I will definiltely repurchase!

This is by far my all time favorite blush. It's a very rosey brown, with hints of gold inside. I think on medium skin tone it looks GORGEOUS, and in my time iv'e gone through alot of different colored blushes, but this is the perfect color, goes with everything, all you need is a little bit, and it lasts ALL day, even when you take naps. I will definatly repurchase.

Gorgeous pink/brown. Very natural looking, must use a light hand and layer. I think this is my favorite blush. I've also got Reflex and Rose Mirage, but this color just seems to go with anything and everything. I can't imagine ever using it up, but I would repurchase. Use a nice big brush to apply and blend blend blend. So pretty!
