Just recently, My daughter started using the green tea moisturizer. She love it! It smells great, absorbs into her skin and doesn't leave it feeling oily or greasy. I think it has an overall calming affect on the skin and works wonders for acne prone faces.

I have very oily skin and mild acne particularly around my t-zone. After 2-3 weeks of using the 3 step system, I noticed that my skin really started to clear up and that I hardly had any more breakouts. I've been using this system for about 7 weeks now. My skin still remains quite oily around the t-zone but I'm hoping with continued use it will eventually subside.

I really don't understand the negative reviews, this stuff works fast and it cleared up my skin completeley! Anything with Benzoyl Peroxide will get rid of pimples, etc. and the formulation in Pro Active with 2,5 % BPO is quite soft to sensitive skin. After some slight redness my skin got used to it and I only use it in the evenings before going to bed anyway. I have always had breakouts and redness, this has cleared up my skin and it never has looked this good..pimplefree for weeks now! The price for the amount is hefty, but since I will switch to cheaper products with BPO...I guess it was just good to see the great results the active ingredient has. Wish I had known about it before. So here: It works, cleared me COMPLETELEY of pimples and blackheads. Never has my skin looked so good!!

I guess I'm part of the minority that actually likes this product. It does work for me.
I'm 19, and am blessed with reasonably clear skin. Granted, I have a lot of hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, but only get the occasional couple of blemishes during 'that time of the month' or when I'm really stressed, but usually my skin is pretty clear. So I can't comment how this works for very bad skin.
I have used the system for about 5 years now (I'm 19). I started using it when my hormones started acting up and my skin started breaking out. At first it burned quite a bit, but I stuck with it, and it worked. It keeps most of my break outs at bay, even 5 years later. I don't use the toner in this system (step 2), as I find toners to be quite drying (I have dry skin). The repairing lotion (step 3) works great on red blemishes (those under the skin bumps. For white heads, I use tea tree oil). It only has 2.5% benzil peroxide (or around that much), so it helps treat my blemishes without drying my skin out.
The cleanser is exfoliating, and has very small, sand like beads in it. So it exfoliates without drying my skin. And the cleaner is the only thing that helps keep my nose blackheads at bay.
I only use the step 3 at night, as well as the cleanser (which I sometimes use in the morning, but mainly at night)
So overall, it works for me. I will repurchase, as I don't like experimenting with skin care, and this works fine for me. I have repurchased for many years now.
This isn't a miracle product for me. I'm sure there are acne products out there that work better than this. The problem is finding them. I don't want to go on the hunt for the HG acne product, and while looking for that stumble upon horrible products that break my skin out. So I'll be sticking with ProActiv.
I can't reccommend you try it, or guarantee it'll work, as it doesn't for most people, but I just thought I'd share a review from a person that actually had a positive experience with it.
Good luck

I got the stronger version of it with benzoyl peroxide.
I used it for few months and I have to say there was no results when it comes to pimples.
It burned my skin and made it really dry and red even though my skin usually isn't sensitive.
I really wanted to like this, but it just didn't really do much. Maybe I had less pimples when I used this regularly, but it's not really worth it if you get other skin problems (redness, irritation).
I did notice that this works a little better if you only apply it to the pimples/acne and not the whole face.

This product does not work. I've been using it for about 6 months and I still am breaking out just as bad. Plus, never get a membership from them, they will bill you $20 randomly. Pro Activ is not all that it's said to be.

This made me break-out so much more than I had before using the system. I'm not sure I believe the "it has to get worse before it gets better" thing but I used this for a very long time and it didn't do much but make my face really itchy and irritated. I don't have severe acne but I was hoping to find something that would prevent the blemishes I get around my period. Aside from the fact that it fails completely, it smells very medicated, the consistency of the cleanser is crap, and the packaging sucks.

I'm a teenager. Almost 15 I struggled really bad acne between my hair line. The rest of my face was clear, besides some redness on my cheeks. I tried so many brands. Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, etc. Nothing really helped. I wouldn't call my acne zits. They're like very very very tiny bumps that just sit on my skin. They don't turn into a zit. I have them most of my temples and forehead. I was about to give up. I was tired of trying new products and tired of covering and caking my face with make-up. My mom was talking to me about my acne, and she said my aunt had some of her old Proactive that she never opened. My aunt gave me it. The first time I tried it, it burned so bad. I used to toner and saw all the gunk that was left on my face after I took a shower and removed my make-up and washed my face with old acne solutions. It was nothing but dirt on the cotton ball. I had a huge zit right before a dance on my cheek and forehead. I used the refining mask on my blemishes over night. I woke up all my redness was gone on my cheeks. Those 2 big blemishes were almost gone. I was so happy. Now I feel confident in my skin. I can go out without makeup without feeling gross and ugly. My boyfriend even noticed how clear my face was. My mom said my face was so beautiful now. I still get huge zits every now and then. Before I go to bed, I use a very small amount of the refining mask on my zits. I ran out of the toner, sadly. Almost out of the repairing treatment, and I'm half way done with the renewing cleanser. Thank you proactive. I haven't felt more confident in my own skin.

Who hasn't tried proactiv? Who doesn't want to look like Jessic Simpson!?!?
I do think this is a decent product but it was so hyped up from advertising that it sets you up thinking you are getting a godsent acne product when in reality it is nowhere near that. It is effective as a cleanser but left my too irritated to buy again.
I would recommend this to someone who doesn't get a very irritated face and who has oily skin and wants to dry it out a little.

When I have used Proactiv, it clears up my skin pretty nicely. I still get a few pimples but my overall skin is just better. However, it eventually stops working.
I also wonder how much of the results are from the actual product and how much is from just adhering strictly to any 3 part system.

My sister passed this product down to me after she had a terrible experience with it. She had very oily skin and bad acne when she started it but I had a little bit of acne and oily skin so decided to try it. It has been sensational on my skin after 2 months I have had not one pimple appear my face isn't dry or oily and it feels so fresh and clean. The product for me has done wonders and saved me a lot of money and time on other products would highly recommend but just test your skin to the product first so you don't react like my sister 10/110!

I have a lot to say about the 3 step proactive set... I bought it a few months ago because I was going through so much stress, I got really sick and it took a big toll on my skin. I was excited to get this in the mail because I had used it years ago and it worked so well- had my skin transformed in a week tops. So, I started using it when I got it in the mail, used it morning and night, I exfoliated my skin, cleaned it, toned it and then added the 3 step lotion. I did it again on day 2, 3, 4, 5... I saw no change. AT ALL. like not even a slight change. I had some proactive that had been sitting in one of many toiletry drawers- the proactive from like 5 years ago (that made me skin flawless, and then i stopped using it and switched to something more moisturizing). I knew it was passed expired, but I decided to try it and see what happened... after 2 days- of using this old proactive system that had been sitting around, my skin started changing dramatically for the better. I looked at the old bottles, and noticed several of the ingredients had been changed. I have talked to several others who have had the same experience that I did. My conclusion: when they first started proactive, they had a hit that actually worked really well, and as they got the consumers to really love the product, and they grew bigger and bigger- they got more greedy like every other corporation. They changed the ingredients in ways to cut down costs- im sure... and now that they changed it, the product doesnt work anything like what the old one did. Why would you take your loyal customers and try to squeeze more money from them? I thknk its sick. I will never be buying proactive again, not only the 3 step solution... but anything else of theirs as well, which sucks because i enjoyed some of their masks and spot treatments. I am warning those who have not tried it but wish to, re consider <3

I agree with all the negative reviews; this product is terrible. Not only has it not cleared my skin, as it always burns and leaves my skin irritated. I believe this product is the one that's been breaking me out all along... I really dislike this, and all other Pro Activ products. Sorry 'bout it.

I agree with everyone's negative reviews. I had some acne, nothing too outrageous and decided to try this out and fix it. Well little did I know, it made it worse, extremely worse. I'm talking more deeper acne. I swear my skin was the worst it has ever been. And like others have said, it made my face look like a pizza!!! Never ever ever again. I would never suggest this to anyone. It did nothing and made it worst, so much so that it took 2 years for my skin to get completely back to it's clean, clear and normal state. Ladies, piece of mind, if you have oily acne prone skin, stick to Mario Badescu.

Terrible.
Of course I was wowed by the commercials and sought Proactiv's help with my mild acne. This stuff turned my face into a pizza. At the time I was working at Sephora.. and try selling skincare when it looks like you have never used it in your life. I broke out like crazy for weeks. Customer service said it was likely the product turning over my skin. This continued for 2 months, where after, the repairing treatment started to literally cause a burning feeling as I put it on my face.
Never again. Just stick to what your doctor or derm suggests.

Proactiv has me completely baffled...or maybe its my skin. But in any case, the trend was that it would work for months (kept acne at bay, but my skin was either TOO oily or TOO dry--go figure...), and then stop working, and then start working months later. For 6/7 years this trend continued until recently when it had absolutely no effect.
Im done experimenting with Proactiv.

I bought this product due to a break out, and it seemed to work at first, and my skin felt clean and started to clear, Then I used the refining mask once a week and found it made my skin very dry. then the rest of the products seemed to stop clearing up my problem areas and just made my skin shiny and tight and my spots started to dry under the skins surface leaving me with lumps and I also noticed a lot of black head around my lips.
I read up about the product and found alot of people were sayin once they stopped using pro activ their skin got incrredibly worse, I can vouch for this, i have never had such bad skin and felt so self conscious :(
I would not recommend this product at all to any one, i thought it was worth a try and at first it appeared to work and now i wish id never touched it. aswell as the dent of £25 p.m in my bank account when my new product that is actually working is £5 every 2-3 months (Biore).

The people who make Pro Activ exaggerated! This really isn't a miracle for your skin, espically if your skin dries out easily. Step 2 and 3, the Revitalizing Toner and Repairing Treatment, was what really irritated by skin :( It itched, and there were red, burning blotches on my skin. Ugh! And you run out of Step 1, the Renewing Cleanser, a lot quicker than the other two steps. But what really ticked me off was...the price!! $68 for something that only helped me for two weeks :( Yes, it did kinda help, but it didn't start working till I used it for a whole week. So nope, it's not a miracle for people struggling with acne. I find it more of a rip off. Also, I don't know if this happened to anyone else, but after I cancelled my order, they still charged my mom's credit card!! And I didn't even get a new shipment :( So if you're going to try it, always go with a check or money order! I swear this happened to me, never do a credit card!
