I think this is a really good basic moisturiser and at £32 a pot in the UK I don't find it too expensive (maybe it's marked up in other countries?). I find this product sinks in really quickly, doesn't block my pores and provides a good base for make-up. I think this would be good for oilier skins, as for my combination skin I think it's better for summer only, the winter here seemed to drag on forever this year and my skin has needed a bit of extra help through the spring in addition to this.

I keep on going back to this face lotion even though I am constantly trying new face creams. I have combo skin, acne prone and sensitive. During the winter I have normalish skin and during the summer I am very oily.
This is a great all-season face lotion. It doesn't have SPF, but I like to layer a thin, watery SPF over it during the daytime and I don't have to worry about SPF breaking out my skin at night.
It has a light flowery/powdery smell that is definitely noticeable but it doesn't bother me. Is great under makeup.
It can leave a shine but it fades away after a little bit. It's about $60ish but the Darphin website has free shipping.

I've been using this as a day cream for nearly 3 years. I have quite dry skin and this makes my skin feel very comfortable. My skin is also quite sensitive and hydraskin always feels cool and soothing, with no aggravating ingredients.
The product list shows it is mostly glycerin.....which seems to work, but it's hardly an expensive ingredient. The jar is small for the price and only lasts around 2 months even when used just once a day.
I've tried Hydraskin Rich but it's too greasy for my skin and doesn't have the same cooling effect. I've also tried Hydraskin Essential because I prefer a tube, it moisturises well but doesn't have the cooling effect either.
If you need a hydrating moisturiser that soothes redness, but don't like thick heavy creams, this should work for you.

An excellent moisturizer for dehydrated skin. I have an oily T-zone and dry cheeks, which is fairly common. I have found that this moisturizer does wonders and has improved the radiance and minimized smiling lines around my eyes significantly. The only down side is that is somewhat overpriced.

This is my essential summer moisturizer. I've got seriously combo skin, and in the summer, the extremes get more extreme- my dry patches get drier, and my oilies are oilier. This was recommended to me by a SA who knew my troubles. She was absolutely right. It's a lightweight cream that beautifully hydrates the dry areas without aggravating the oily areas. Of course, Darpin products are expensive, but I find you don't need too much, so you really do get a lot of uses in one jar. For right now, this is HG status for me.

I've used this moisturizer for a few years, mainly in the winter months as my skin becomes drier and I need a stronger moisturizer. I have dehydrated, acne-prone skin and it's very moisturizing without causing me to break out. I usually use this with the rose aromatic oil and together these products leave my skin well moisturized and soft. Highly recommended for dehydrated skin.

Although, as its name suggests, this product is certainly light, unfortunately, it also has a tendency to sit on top of the skin, as opposed to sinking right in. The result is unwanted shine, when all you really want of course is sufficient hydration. So all in all a real let down. That said, the shine did not lead to congestion, so I guess I should be thankful for small mercies!

My previous moisturizer was lancome hydra-zen cream-gel.The difference between both of these product are;hydra-zen is for combi-oily sensitive skin,it helps to moisturize the skin and as for darphin(that i am currently using for day) is mainly for hydration,it help to leave the skin soft and supple as well.I personally prefer Darphin hydraskin light because is fast absorbent,it hydrate the skin really well.I have combi skin but i am more to the dry in the inside, oily at the outside. So this product really helps alot in improving my skin condition. Is really expensive but it does work for me.

I have difficult skin which changes from oily to dry very quickly so therefor most moisturisers only work for short periods of time before they make my skin feel oily and bumpy. I feel finally ive found a miosturiser which has not only evened out my skin tone but has left it feeling fresh and soft. Spots have dissapeared and no dryness (so far) Ive been using a little morning and night for 2 weeks, its light, absorbs quickly and smells fesh. I like the spatula that comes in the box so no fingers dipping into the cream. I also love the jar it looks lovely on the dressing table.

I am a 32 years old man, and I've had problems with acne since I was 14. My pimples gradually disappeared, but I still have countless tiny bumps and a few blackheads on my face, especially around my nose and on my cheeks. I have been using this cream for about 7 days now and the bumps are starting to disappear. I dunno what it is, if it's the cucumber extract, the kiwi exctract, or what, but I swear, it did wonders for my skin texture. I have combo skin and this moisturizer is a bit on the heavy side for me, but if I adjust the amount I use, it should solve the problem. So, to conclude, ladies if you have some acne "residues" ie bumps and the such, I can say that what this product has done for my male skin, it will probably do the same thing for yours. A well-deserved 5 stars.

This is the best hydrating day product for combination to oily skin. The cream does not contain any oils but packed with water based hydrating ingredients, so it doesn’t block the pores and leaves the skin to breath freely and at the same times hydrates the skin through the day.
Same again, due to the high quality of this product only a small amount of cream would do the magic! It would last for up to 4 months if combined with a night cream and Darphin’s essential oils and up to 2 to 3 months if using it day and night.

Perfect moisturizer for me. I have combination to normal skin. Even though my cheeks tend to be dry, this gel cream moisturizes perfectly. It absorbs completely and does not clog my pores or add to much moisture. Its really one of the best moisturizers I have ever used. I like it best in the summer because it is 'lighter' then my usual creams and my skin tends to be oilier during the summer. The product also smells amazing. I have been using this for years and I can't imagine not having it. I have tried *many* moisturizers but always go back to this. I recommend it!

I've been using this for a few years now and although I test other products from time to time (from Olay to La Mer), this is still the best for my quite dry skin. Leaves a little sheen but hydrates brilliantly with no breakout problems, in fact it seems to add clarity and radiance although this is not how it's marketed. Strong fragrance but it's quite a nice marine smell. I keep coming back to it for my day moisturiser, and use Revive at night.

This moisturiser reminds me of the Chanel Hydra-Max but with a less silicone-y texture. It is a gel cream which feels really light weight and isn't greasy at all. I really dislike the packaging, as I hate sticking my finger in a jar and it is exposed to the air. It is great if your combination and want a light weight moisturiser that hydrates without feeling sticky or greasy, however it would be great if they had it in a pump bottle or tube that preferably isn't glass.

This is a nice texture, light weight, fragranced lotion (it's not as thich as a cream). It absorbs quickly upon application. I think for ppl with normal to combination skin, it would leave a dewy finish but for my oily skin I need some matifying effect for everyday use. I still use this one when the cold weather is too harsh, and my skin needs a little extra hydration.
Will not purchase again as there are better choices for me.

I just got this cream as part of a deluxe set that also contains a Cleansing Water, two Aromatic Cares and a mini bottle of the Lifting Eye Serum. It was a great deal and I couldn't pass it up! I've only used it a few times but so far so good. Hydraskin Light is a lightweight cream-gel moisturizer for dehydrated skin. I love the way it sinks right in without any sticky feeling. I am using this over the rose Aromatic Care to help rehydrate my skin. It seems to be working well, my skin is comfortable and glowing. I just finished out my Joelle Ciocco creams and although they were very nice, they simply did not give me adequate hydration for the cold winter months. Now I am curious about the Hydrating Serum from Darphin, but for now I will stick with this Hydraskin Light. I even like it better than Chanel's Hydramax+.

I really wanted to love this product after I used a sample inside my wrist. But it gave me blackheads. Too bad, because the texture makes the skin so supple and firm. And it smells nice. Not crazy about the scooper. Little goes a long way. I'll use the rest of the tub on my neck.

Absolutely fantastic cream. I have dry and very dehydrated skin in winter, and this cream feels so light yet so hydrating everytime I put it on. Feels very soothing once applied, even when my face is feeling tight after washing my face. I have tried many high end moisturizers such as Chanel Hydramax and Dior's hydraction, and this one out perform them all. Does not leave an oily feeling, absorbs well, and suitable to use underneath makeup.

I use this gel moisturiser on my oily skin (only my cheeks and eye area, the rest is very oily and spot-prone so I don't moisturise those areas). It is absorbed beautifully and leaves my skin feeling lovely and not greasy at all.
