Love this stuff. When I was a kid my best friend's mom had this, and we'd both sneak spritzes of it because it smelled sooo good. I think I like it because of the nostalgia factor, but... nothing wrong with that. It's pretty concentrated so I only need a spray or too.

This scent is timeless. Yes, it's young, but how is smelling sweet and fresh not for everyone? I love it, always will. It's nostalgia, it's sweet, and at 36, I still love this scent. I'll always have a bottle of this stuff. Love it!

My body chemistry is not made for this at all, because I can't detect a single floral note or any sweetness whatsoever. There is a musk infused with baby powder scent and, despite the suffocating thickness, I think I'd enjoy it... That is if there wasn't a sharp, sour under-bite to the fragrance. I'm not sure what this unpleasant tang is, so I'll just go with 'herbal', crossed with BO. A cheap version of patchouli, perhaps?
At first I stubbornly kept on wearing it in the hope it'd suddenly transform into the magical blend everyone else seems to enjoy, but it never did change, so all I got were a number of headaches and nausea.
Official scent notes: Geranium, jasmine, rose, lavender, patchouli, vanilla and musk.

Back when I was little I used to LOVE this perfume,.My mom used to buy them all the time & I loved the way it smelled. I haven't gotten one in years and not too long ago I finally got one. OH MY GOD. I don't know if they changed the scent all together or added new ingedients but it was horrible. The smell was making me want to throw up. It was not the same Baby Soft I remembered.

Love's Baby Soft is a treasure forever. If only young teens are to smell good, then yes, it's for teens. I'm in my 50's and wear it whenever I want. I'd rather smell too young than old and musty like some "adult" perfumes make you smell. There are no scents off limits to me. If I like it, I'm wearing it. This is lovely and feminine for young and old alike. I don't care for the scent of baby powder and yet I love this. I think there's an extra something that makes it more than just a baby scent, and that's what I love about it. Fresh air, clean hair, line dried clothing, Love's Baby Soft and sunshine, perfection. This is what I'll be wearing this summer...again!

I bought this with a coupon just yesterday! I couldn't help it - I LOOOOVE baby scents and this brought me RIGHT BACK to when I was about 13 or 14 when I was allowed to wear light perfumes and this was one of the first ones I wore! It may be too sweet smelling for some but definitely not for me! It may not linger for very long, but man, that powdery scent ROCKS!

I was a teenager in the late 70's- early 80's, so I did wear this - I have memories of dousing myself with this after gym class freshman year. All the girls used this, so the whole locker room smelled of it. The scent does bring back memories. I just purchased a gift set of this after Christmas at Walmart and it was $2.50- so I thought what the heck...I really enjoyed this scent in high school. I remember then moving to the BABE cologne, which was my favorite for many years- right up until it was discontinued in 1992 or so. I wish they would bring that one back!

What can I say about Love's Baby Soft that has been already said? It's soft and powdery and lasts all day on me. I have both vintage Menley and James Version and Dana's. The M & J version is slightly more musky and animalic than Dana's. The Dana's is pretty much pure powder on me. I love to wear this year round- it's great for any occasion-not just for wearing around the house. It's a cuddle-me fragrance for sure. My best friend in high school wore this scent and I always remember wanting a bottle of this for myself. It's also easily found in stores and online at dirt-cheap prices.

I'd been wanting to get it but unsure about the "baby" scent, which of course is the point.. anyway the salesgirl, after getting her opinion, reminded me that on everyone it does smell different according to chemistry. It actually smells really more floral on me, Just light and pretty not too baby powdery. Highly recommend. The size is great too. (Bottle spray, not the can.)

Okay, I'm not going to lie, I'm 22 years old and I wear this out. :) It's great for those warm fuzzies on a sweater-wearing day, let me tell you. My mom wore this in the 7th grade in the '80s, so of course I had to also, and nowadays it brings me back to being 12. I had to review this because I was out shopping the other day and smelled some crazy expensive perfume that was pretty much an exact replica of Love's. I wear it when Shalimar is too heavy or wintery and my Chanel no. 19 isn't quite right for the weather. As you can see, I'm a fan of powdery, so if you aren't then I'd skip all of the above.

In a fit of nostalgia, I bought a spray can of Love's Baby Soft. Well, also, it was cheap. I have seen reviews warning against buying the canned version, and now I know why. The first blast of scent smells artificially sweet, like candied plastic. It's not altogether unpleasant, actually. But it's definitely not Love's Baby Soft. (One nice thing it is, though, on a hot summer's day, is cold). However, after wearing it for a few hours (hey, I'm not wasting water unless a skunk sprays me just as I'm exiting the shower) I caught a whiff of my arm when I was taking something down off a high shelf, and what should I smell but a certain powdery je ne sais quois. It was the Love's Baby Soft, just as I remembered it. So, it seems this version smells accurate on the drydown only. That's just good enough for me to finish the bottle instead of donating it to a young neighbor.
I do wish the "would you buy this again" category included "maybe," though, because I might pick this up again if it's on sale again, but not at full price.

I have had a can of this body spray around for several years since I have a daughter. She has used it a few times. I bought a new one for Christmas and I don't think she's touched it. I use it now and then for a blast from the past--I graduated from H.S. in the 80s. Won't be buying it again. Daughter is "Over It."

I'm forever on the lookout for the ultimate soft powdery scent. This is a sharp powdery scent. A dupe for expensive
Lorenzo Villoresi's Teint de Neige. They smell exactly the same on me.

Bought for my daughter thinking it would be great for a 3 year old who loves 'fumes. Great big huge mistake! She wears it because she doesn't know any better, and she REEKS. What was I thinking?! Should have smelled it first and not just assumed it would be perfect because of its name. My plan is to buy Love's Sugar Kiss and replace the cap with the Baby Soft one...she's three and can barely read, so I don't think she'll notice. Wish me luck!

When I saw this on the featured reviews, I had to click and add my own. I had this many years ago when it first came out. I hated it then and I hate it now. Why anyone would want to walk around stinking like a baby diaper is completely beyond me. The smell is nauseating but then I also hate baby butt scented deodorant. Just....ewwww. Nasty.

Funny this should be one of the featured reviews today. I got my first bottle exactly 20 years ago today, for my 9th. birthday as a gift from my mom, and I still keep a bottle around. I may not wear it everyday, but I still love the way it smells and will give myself a little spritz with it whenever I feel like it. This is definitely not a fragrance you need to douse yourself with; a "spritz" is all you need :)

i love this. not because its the best smelling perfume in the world..but cause it brings me to a good place! it reminds me of being like 12-13 yrs old..in my best friends room, peeking out the window at the 2 boys we had crushes on...giggling..having pajama parties...listening to boys2men,and just being a girlygirl! i found the bodyspray and lotion in the dollartree a month or so ago..and i use it as a room spray and as a after bath spray for my 5 year old (who loves to smell good liek her mama) =) and i admit..days im feeling down i spray a little on..and feel so silly and youthful!

I didn't wear LBS when I was a teen. I didn't have any money and even though I asked for it, I never got any. I rediscovered it in my thirties and purchased vintage online. My vintage stock is beautiful and I give it a 5. The current product can be too strong. Body Mist can be both nauseating and screechy. The Cologne, is much closer to my vintage bottle, minus the animalic musk note. I'm not gonna lie, I was all excited about the new line of Love's Baby Soft body products, until I smelled them. Too plastic-y.Too bad.

Yes, I'm 43, and yes, I used this all the time in my teens, but I still adore this fragrance!! I'm sure it's 90% sentimentality and nostalgia, but I actually like the clean, soft smell of this product, and I will admit to wearing this whenever I feel like it. It will always hold a special place in my memories.

I never used this as a child growing up. I saw it at a dollar store about a year ago. It was in a cute heart shaped glass bottle so I couldn't resist. It has a light, sweet, slightly powdery, relaxing, comforting smell. It's perfect for a lazy day at home in my PJ's curled up with a good book and drinking hot chocolate in front of the fireplace, but I don't think it's something I'd wear out in public because it feels like it's too young for me as an everyday fragrance.
