Indian, NC40/42, dark brown eyes, black hair for reference. This looks amazing blended out in the crease with many lid colors from Ricepaper to Mulch. A must-have for brown people.

I have this matte burned orange e/s. I use it either all over my eyelid up to crease with a dark brown shadow on the outside of the crease. Or I use it as a transition color. Its very matte so you can wear it for a subtly look or make your look edgy with more bold colors using this as a transition colors.

My favourite colour of the moment! It isn't an intense orange, but it is something different and I love using it for a smokey eye. A makeup artist at MAC told me to try it with cranberry.. I haven't been game to try this yet but it is more versatile than I was expecting.

Love this colour for my NC50 skin, I use it as wash of colour on my lid, underneath a golden/orange primer, and blend them both out with a blending brush, then a nude lip gloss....beautiful, very natural, easy to wear and classy.

(primer the orange tone in the sleek primer palette)
(nude lipgloss-Mac spite...I think)

Too chalky on me. I don't do well with matte shadows. I really like how this looks on people with lighter skin coloring, however this was not for me ( nc45 fondation ). I'm returning it tomorrow.

Hey everyone! Dan here. I don't understand why there are so many poor reviews on here? I mean, I guess it is "orange", but if you use the right e/s combo and can blend, you should definitely have this in your collection. I will say this looks great on all skin tones, but I use this more for darker skinned beauties. Try MAC Cranberry e/s on lid and Rule on the bridge/crease area and blend. Just trust me. Throw some Arena on the brow bone and blend. Think about it. Any questions feel free to message me.

I bought this eyeshadow after seeing some reviews on it I didn't own an orange shade so I decided to give this a try. I really do not like this colour on me, Its a matte shadow and I find it doesn't blend well and it does not have much colour payoff. Makes me look a little dead I guess i should have picked a more vibrant orange. For reference i'm NC35. Will not buy again.

If you want an orange colour but Orange eyeshadow is too bright, I would definitely recommend Rule as a toned down alternative. I really like it for summery looks with browns (Bronze or Amber Lights) or pinks (Sushi Flower) or golds (Goldmine). I took a lippie off though because it can look chalky sometimes and I need quite a bit to get the colour to show and stay. But that can be easily fixed with some eyeshadow primer.

Despite that I would still repurchase this lovely orange shade

I don't know what I was thinking with this color! It's a matte orange, which would probably look good with a lighter complexion, but it definitely does not work with my nc37 skin tone. I've tried it out with various colors, but nothing is making it look good on me.

I'm truly on the fence over this orange shade. Bought it without trying it on because I wanted more orange shadow's for my dark brown eyes. I honestly wanted to love it, not sure if it's the best with my NC 35 complexion. I've tried to incorporate it in many looks with blues, browns, golds, blacks. Nothing seems to work for me. Will play around with it one more time before I decide if I'll keep it in my stash. I have a feeling it might go better with neutral or cool toned girls. Makes me look borderline sickly, which is not a good look. (Passionate e/s had the same effect on me, but looked awesome on my cool tone friend)

This is a really nice pumpkiny orange, no shimmer color that looks velvety on. For the ladies who want to spice a neutral/ brownish eye should try this. It gives the extra oomph without being over powering. It is nicely pigmented but, can be layered for more intense color depending on how you want to wear it. Pairs nicely with purples also. My favorite look with this is Typographic on lid with Rule in crease and blended a little higher above crease. A color you wouldn't traditional pick up but, when you do it is well worth it. NW25 for ref.

Oh Wow - I LOVE this eyeshadow. It looks great in the crease paired with the Hot Hot Hot eyeshadow. This shade looks amazing on blue eyes! I really like the MAC matte shadows. They blend well and wear well.

Great for Tanned skins! I use it when I want to do a very WARM rather summer smokey look without the usage of black or dark browns. Is it possible to do a smokey brown eye without dark brown or black? Yes, Just use reddish brown shadows. You don't need much more than that. Rule, I find can be used as a great transition color, period. It's also a great blush for tanned skins. Quite versatile this color.

I was clearing out my stash and came across Rule. I've had it forever and have never touched it once. It looks scary orange! I immediately decided to swap it away, but on second thought decided I would just try it out. I'm so glad I did! It's a very pigmented pumpkin orange color that looks amazing against my dark eyes. I'm not into bright e/s or even really colored e/s, but this is surprisingly subtle and very flattering. I wore it on the inner 1/3 of my lid and put MAC Cocomotion and Patina on the middle 1/3, and then L'oreal Gilded duo blended on the outer 1/3 and in the crease and blended blended blended. I then put the gold color from the Loreal duo on inner corners of eyes and on lower lashline, lined w/ MAC Coffee eyeliner and WOW! The effect was so subtle but beautiful. I was seriously getting looks from guys all day lol! Anyways, don't rule out Rule just because it looks scary in the pan. It's gorgeous on as long as worn right!

I worship the ground this shadow walks on, not so much as an eyeshadow (although it makes a great orange shadow!), but as a color corrector. I use it under MAC's Studio Finish concealer CONSTANTLY to cut the color of my dark undereye circles. Awesome product, couldn't live without it!

I love this color it looks great used in the crease with a brown smokey eye. The orange makes a brown smokey or purple smokey eye pop.

This is the color I was hoping Paradisco would be. It's a deeper, earthier orange by far, that doesn't wash me out, despite my relatively light skin. It's slightly similar to Tete-a-tint, so I've paired it with this on the lid and sometimes a dark plum e/l (sounds weird, but looks pretty good), or chocolate liner.
