Bought this to go with its matching shampoo. Its not bad, feels nice and creamy, coats hair well yet rinses clean. Comparable to Suave's coconut conditioner but I like the way Suave smells better. Suave is sweeter and smells better after lingering. I think White rain has a bit more "slip" than Suave as it does have a little bit of dimethicone in it. Its not real moisturizing so a light spray leave in or coconut oil applied to my ends is a must.

Holy crap.
I need very, very little conditioner to keep my hair healthy - and this gave me none. NONE. It was bizarre. I've never had a conditioner give zero slip, softness, or detangling at all.
It didn't even smell good. Not at all like the shampoo, which I like to use in the summer for a tropical scent.

I absolutely LOVE this conditioner! Its great for Co-washing. I picked me some up instead of my usual VO5 and I dont have any regrets. I can't believe how soft my hair was afterwards! DEF will buy again

Update 9/29/10- I wish I could give this more than 5 lippies! I'm realizing now *WHY* this works so well= It has "Citric Acid" as the 4th ingredient. Citric Acid helps to remove minerals and smooths your hair's cuticle so that it lies flat instead of sticking up and allowing moisture to escape. This is why it cleans better than Suave & VO5 in a CO wash and why it allows any conditioner I use afterwards or in conjunction with it to work better. And it's so cheap!!!
Original review:
I give this conditioner(and other White Rain Conditioners) 5 lippies - as a CO-wash conditioner ONLY. As a regular conditioner, it's not really moisturizing. :-/
But I've found White Rain Conditioners to be the absolute BEST for CO-washing. Every other conditioner I've tried(Suave, V05, etc.) leaves some sort of buildup on my scalp(which causes dandruff & hair shedding) and my ends become tangley because they have buildup of too much conditioner. Even when I use no silicones at all, I still can get buildup. Go figure. But the White Rain Conditioners make it possible for me to skip shampoos which I normally can't do.
So far I've tried a few and they all seem about the same except for the fragrance. So now I choose based on fragrance. The extra body and regular conditioners have a clean, soapy scent; the apple blossom smells sweet like apples(think the old Salon Selectives); and the coconut essences smells a *little* like coconut, but it's more like B&BW "Coconut Lime Verbena" which has more of a lime & verben scent with a splash of coconut. That's how this one is to me. The scents are strong and tend to linger, so make sure you like it. I always use another conditioner after I rinse out the White Rain, but I often end up smelling the White Rain throughout the day anyway.
Would repurchase.

LOVE this stuff! For about a little over a year, I have been using strictly conditioner - to wash my hair, detangle, moisturize, leave-in, etc. I never use shampoo, unless I put major product in and it's super dirty. I need moisture for my 3C-4A/B hair.
I've tried many "cheap" conditioners, especially V05 and Suave. For this being only a dollar (Dollar Tree!), this is amazing.
The consistency isn't super rich or thick like the more expensive cond's like Tresseme. However, it isn't extremely runny, watery and thin like V05. This allows for using less product, while it lasts longer.; a little goes a long way. And it is very concentrated!
The smell is nice, yeah, it doesn't smell precisely like natural coconut, but it isn't unpleasant either. However, I can imagine how some can find the scent overpowering and too much. It may even get you nauseous if you smell it too much. However, I love the smell.
The slip is great, when I detangle, it helps prevent my hair from snapping and breaking off.
After I've used this product, my hair smells and feels AMAZING! It feels soft and pillow-like.
The moisture and detangling lasts a long time too. It's like it's penetrated my hair.

I picked this up at the dollar store to use on my sisters hair, which is works great for, but I used this on my hair last night to do a CO wash and it worked great. It's thin enough that I can work it all the way down to my scalp, and my hair felt incredibly silky afterwards. I followed this w/ an ACV rinse and my hair looks and feels really good. It doesn't feel coated, sticky, or limp, and my scalp actually feels clean. Personally I like the scent; it's not very strong, but it's pleasant.

I am currently trying out the conditioner wash method since my hair tends to become stripped of moisture, no matter what moisturizing shampoo I use it seems. I purchased the Tropical Coconut conditioner at a local dollar store and I purchased the family size. The texture of this conditioner is not as runny as I expected, it is somewhat thick, like slightly watery mayonnaise. I like the fact that it helps detangle my hair and it rinses clean. This conditioner doesn't seem to contain any silicones as far as I can see. As of the moment I can't think of the cons. I will definitely repurchase this.

My mother insists on buying this quite often. Personally, I think it stinks. Literally. The smell is very generic and not very coconutty. Also, it does nothing for my hair in terms of conditioning. It actually leaves it tangled. Thumbs down.

I find the smell of this product to be much too annoying to use everyday. It smells like the little tree-shaped car fresheners. Other than that, it left my hair soft and manageable for teh first week (liek any new hair product) and eventually, the good effects began to wear off, so I tossed this.

Mmmmm this smells so good! I really like how it works for my hair. I have dry color treated hair which is very frizzy and tends to feel rather coarse. This conditioner makes it feel so soft and look healthy and shiny. It also leaves my hair smelling great while cutting down on some of the frizz. Rave from me!!!!!!!!!!!

While this was a weightless conditioner, it ran out like water, so I always had so much in my hands to try and get back into the bottle. Just like the shampoo, it doesn't volumize, but the smell is great.
