Oxidised a LOT on me. By midday my face was several shades darker than when I first applied it. Does not come with a puff - it needs to be bought separately. Also, the shades and how they number the shades do not seem to follow a logical pattern and is super confusing. Didn't seem to control oil particularly well. However, it is quite pigmented, which is the only thing I liked about it. I didn't even wait to finish this before I bought another loose powder. Will not repurchase.

This really didn't do much for me. I have oily skin, and I use the press and roll technique for setting my face products. I like my setting powder to add a bit of coverage or at least to diffuse, and this did nothing. It took shine down upon application, but I didn't like the finish. If you have very clear skin and are looking for a very sheer powder, this might work for you. I saved the container, though! I use it to mix products on the cap.

I have very oily skin that is prone to breakouts. I have tried countless products (primers, foundations, mattifiers, powders, skincare, etc) to keep my skin from getting so oily and I think I've finally found it!
**First of all, this product is not intended to provide tons of coverage, even if you get it in a tinted shade. I have acne scarring and I already use products specifically designed for covering them so that didn't bother me. Second of all, this is NOT an HD powder. Using this product alone will not give you that soft, defused and camera-read look. Read: it may settle in pores. Use a separate HD powder if pores are in issue for you**
As far as oil-control goes, this product is pretty awesome. I won't say that prevents shine 100% because that is an unrealistic and unnatural expectation. This product keeps my skin matte for up to six hours. At the end of those six-or-so hours, my skin will start to get a little shiny, however, not even close to how oily it used to look. Because of its mattifying effect, this product also does a pretty awesome job at keeping my makeup from oxidizing. Unlike HD powder, you can't get away with just a skimp of this stuff for it to do its job; you're going to need a little more product. I find that starting out with less on one portion of your face and slowly increasing the amount of product works best for me so that I can avoid overusing.
Overall an awesome product that does exactly what it is designed to do (for my skin, at least). Minus one lippie for the the packaging. I can't offer any suggestions as to how it could be improved, because I think all loose-powders are a hassle as it is, but if MUFE could somehow gather their best packaging engineers to find a way to make this more clumsy Brandi-friendly, I would totally pay the extra two or three dollars to avoid spilling it all over myself.

I have purchased this product a month ago based on reviews here and because I have been on a desperate (and long) search of a powder that can a) control my very (very, very VERY) oily skin, b) does not clog my pores and break me out, c) does not change the colour of my makeup/face. You would think, asking 3 things from a product is not too much to ask....Well, I bought Super Matte (in Sand 14) and it does have a nice finish as it is finely milled as per other reviewers. It does not have a drastic colour change effect like MUFE HD, Mattify!, Dermablend and all those so-called 'invisible' white powders which invariably give me that oh-I-have-just-dipped-my-face-in-rice-powder-and-look-like-a-clown look as my complexion is NC37-40 and need to press powder on to have any kind of oil-control effect. It sort of works with my makeup - but pulls slightly orange (I am very yellow golden with a touch of olive undertone) so Super Matte is not 100% what I would like to have in terms of coverage. As for oil control - big thumbs down, it does absolutely nothing (as many other countless powders I have tried) to keep the oiliness away for longer than 1-2 hrs. I need MAC Blot on top to do that which begs the question of why I would use Super Matte on the regular basis. So no, I will not repurchase and will continue hunting for that elusive perfect powder...or (desparing) anything that comes close.

I would say.... I like this powder, but I don't love it. I have oily skin, that's for sure and this prevents me from getting oily for about 3-4 hours. The thing is, it can look a bit too powder-y despite stating how soft and silky the powder is, it can also make me look super dry. It's expensive and you don't get a lot of product, so I would say I won't repurchase.

I am obsessed with this powder. Is is so finely milled it's like silk on my skin. You can't see it AT ALL on your face, even if I put too much on. It makes my finished complexion (with foundation and concealer) look flawless and smooth. Along with the MUF primer and this powder, my makeup stays put and I haven't gotten oily by the end of the day like I used to before (probably more due to the primer). I use translucent natural, and I am extremely pale with yellow undertones.

My new HG setting powder!
I didn't expect myself to like this powder that much but I really do! I thought that the powder was too light and translucent but it actually puts on really nice. It doesn't look cakey either! The finish is matte and looks like natural skin!
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good setting powder without a cakey look.

I picked this up at the Sephora VIB sale 20% off. I got color 52 because I wanted a setting powder with a bit of color, since it's November and I'm getting very pale. This is a nice product but it adds way too much color to my foundation. I'm not sure if it's oxidizing since I naturally have tan skin and this color 52 is very golden tan in color. Also, I like a setting powder that gives more coverage. This I feel is very sheer. I will use it up, but most likely will not repurchase and try something else. Also, the oil control is not great. It's not bad, but definitely not great. I am shiny at the end of the day. It would be worse If it was the hot time of the year here. I'm glad I'm trying this in late Fall. My cheap Coty Airspun works miracles compared to this for oil control and setting my foundation. Also, I don't feel like this goes on evenly. I guess I have to play with this a little more.

Does not contril oil, makes you look cakey after a while. Just temporary fix.Would not buy it again. I find Bare Minerals Mineral Veil works much better.

The very best for my oily skin. I am NW20 and use this in #12 translucent in the summer to set foundation and tinted moisterizer. It's a little pricey for the amount you get, the Laura Mercier Translucent that I use in winter is better value for the amount but I really love MUFE. Sephora only seems to carry it through online ordering now though, not in my local store. Finely milled, doesn't bother my skin - just about perfect.

I am NC20 and I have it in #16. It is very matte when you apply it but it doesn't control oil much. I still find myself having to blot throughout the day. I like HD powder a lot better than this because of the smooth skin finish but I can't use HD powder alone without using the HD foundation. I still can use this without the HD foundation because this powder though being matte, doesn't make you look too dry. Overall this is a good powder but after a few hours it's just oxidize, doesn't stay long.

Let me begin by saying that I have extremely sensitive acne prone dehydrated skin and I have tested a lot of different loose powders in the market. Some left my skin powdery, some seemed to suck up all the moisture in my skin and some just killed the teeny bit of glow left on my complexion. Despite the name do not be fooled by this little gem! Although it claims to be 'super matte' it actually did not dry out my skin.
The powder itself is silky smooth and I believe is because silica is one of the top ingredients in the formula. However this powder neither caused me rashes nor broke out my sensitive skin. A light dusting of this powder over sunscreen and my skin is left with the most beautiful and even glow. There is no need for foundation at all.
My only gripe is that this powder does not do a stellar job in oil control. Although I have combination-dry skin, my complexion was slightly greasy by mid-day. Also I feel that there is plenty of room for improvement on the packaging. MUFE I hope you are listening. This powder is not travel friendly and has a tendency to spill therefore causing wastage.
For reference I am NC15-20 and I have it in #12 translucent. Despite several reviews which claim that this powder oxidises I have not experienced this problem so far.

I like this however, the Tarte smooth operator finishing powder has this one beat. The Tarte controls oil & holds makeup better than this powder in my opinion. It is very matte when you apply it, it gives you a very smooth, matte, even canvas to work with when you apply your bronzer, blush, etc. but it doesn't control oil as much as I thought it would which is the main reason I bought it. I still find myself having to blot throughout the day, not as much but it's still not effective enough for my very oily skin. I like this a lot better than their HD powder though, that's for sure. This powder though being very matte, doesn't make you look too dry, unless you apply a little too much. I find this makes your makeup prone to blotching off if your skin is rubbed against, so it doesn't exactly set the makeup well enough in my opinion. It's a good powder & makes your makeup look initially good, I've just found better.

I have a love-hate relationship with this powder - for one thing - it has A WHOLE HELL of shimmer in it for a matte product - it does mattify your skin however but i find that it dosen't keep me matte throughout the day. It's an okay product - nothing spectacular - just like any loose powder.

This loose powder has the most lovely finish I have ever experienced from any other loose powder and that includes the great Chanel & Laura Mercier ones, both of which are very good but this beats them both in terms of the finish. The powder is extremely fine and goes on invisibly no matter what condition my skin is in. It doesn't settle on the dry patches or enhance my pores. My skin type is a combination of oily and dry acne-prone. This powder doesn't break me out, doesn't cling to dryness or enhance it but it also does not control oil. It's important to know before buying this product that it will not do anything to help control oil. It is an excellent loose powder that finishes off your foundation very well, locks all the makeup in place and puts an incredible smoothing, diffusing finish over your skin. The finish is just so flattering and makes everything look so much more perfect and soft. It is amazing that something can have that effect without adding any additional coverage. I generally use a very light coverage foundation/tinited-moisturizer on a daily basis (TheBalm BalmShelter and Mac Face & Body) and finish it off with this powder. The effect is that of very light, natural coverage but of the most diffused smoothing effect. I've even layered this over a moderate coverage foundation and it still adds a more perfecting, diffusing touch to the skin. When compared to the Laura Mercier and Chanel powders, I find that the Laura Mercier one controls oil a bit better but looks generally invisible and doesn't enhance the finish like the MUFE one; the Chanel powder is a bit more brightening but also just goes on invisible and also doesn't add that extra touch. I highly recommend this powder. I don't think oily skin can be controlled by products anyway and I use this frequently for the beautiful finish it imparts.

The only powder I wear because: Does not settle into fine lines / Does not dry out my fairly dry skin / Keeps my face matte for hours on end / Excellent for touchups as it does not cake / Smooths out my forehead area without needing to apply a primer or makeup (only moisturiser). So a big yay. Downside, expensive, but does last for ages. I apply with a big fluffy brush and then use the pom pom when I'm out for touchups.

This is the setting powder that I have been using for the last little while now. I have combination skin and I find that this powder does a good job of keeping my oilier areas in check. It can accentuate the dry areas of my face but that can be controlled when I use a proper moisturizer underneath. I have acne prone skin but have not found this powder to cause me any breakouts. I just purchased my third container and will probably get it again when this runs out!

me: super pale skin, red hair, tendency towards rosacea. bought this product as a color corrector.
I didn't buy this powder for matte-ness. I didn't buy it because it was a loose powder. I bought it because it is one of the only powders I've been able to find that comes in pale green, pale enough to neutralize redness on my nose and still not come across as, well, green. A task which it performs amazingly well. (Yes, there's a physician's formula one, but even that is too dark for my complexion.) Its 04, and only available at the store or by phone order. The various other color neutralizers I've found (including the MUFE primer) are simply too dark for me.
Standard caveats for potentially-annoying loose powder packaging, lame puff, spillage if you aren't careful, have-to-scoop-into-smaller-container for touch-ups, etc. But whatevs. This stuff is its own little kind of magic. Just a tiny bit to neutralize redness, and it lasts for most of the day.
