This is not one of MAC's better products in my opinion. I have this in Briefly Pink, which is way too milky pink in color with an almost sticky texture. Would not recommend or purchase again.

bought 2 of these and swapped both away. they were the worst lipglosses i ever had. dried up my lips (i did not know lipglosses can make lips dry!) made ugly white lines on my lips after an hour or so.
shades were ok, not really special, just average.
i would never ever buy these or any of mac lip items again.

I like the squeeze tube and the price is all right but am I the only one that hates this? It does not spread on my lips. I've tried everything and it just sits there and looks horrible. I've tried about 6 or so colors and ended up swapping them all. I prefer the tinted lipglass.

Generous amount of product, nice gloss-like feel and some beautiful colors, but the gloss won't stay put. An hour later it's moved into liplines, giving a shrinking lip effect, especially with darker colors like Vivid-tone Violet. Infrared Wood and Grape en Drape looked better, but again couldn't define well enough to make much impact. Instead, I'd recommend tinted lipglass or glossimers - both give a well-defined, glossy lip that lasts for hours.

I would rate this as fair. As usual, MAC has a nice range of colors. The quality is equivalent to what you can find at this price range, nothing fantastic. MAC lipglass is better than lipglass stain. It's more lasting & moisturising than lipglass stain.

Am I the only one who thinks that these are NOT too yummy? Maybe I got a bad "batch". The colors and performance are really cool, but I'm sorry - mine tasted like Tupperware.

Their lipglass stains are amazing - the little squeeze tubes that they come in are easy to use and carry around, and the colors last for a decent amount of time. And at approx. $14, they're not too expensive!

These are less sticky than the tinted lipglasses, and smell like lemon cookies to me. You also get a lot more product in these than the tinted ones. Good lasting power and nice assortment of colors too. I plan on purchasing more of these in the future.

Nice! An MA snuck me a brand-new tester of Red Scheme since I wanted to buy it but they had none left. The texture is slightly thicker than the lipglasses, it clings on more to the lips, and it definitely packs more pigment. Yet, you still have a sheer-ish and shiny look, and once it wears off a slight stain is left. Wear is comfortable and not overly sticky. I would buy future colors if they were to my liking. Electron Pink looks great in the tube but on my hand was a little too sheer. Red Scheme is the perfect bright red-pink!

My lemmings ordered 3 of these stains: Briefly Pink, Low light Silver and Grape en Drape.
Briefly Pink: Death on my lips (NC25-30) but sooooooo lovely when applied over very dark berry/wine lipsticks.
Low light Silver: Least favorite. I don't see much color in this, just tons of shimmer. Duh, hence the name. However, I DO NOT like walking around with dry shimmery lips when the gloss wears off. Definitely not for me. Good over matte lipsticks for dimension and making a few shades lighter.
Grape en Drape: Yes, this has rainbow glitters in it. But the color is just soooooooo awesome that somehow, I don't really mind. My favorite of the 3 stains. Gives me a berry stained lip that even BB Lip tint in Black Cherry couldn't do. Should I stock up?
Overall the MAC stains are more moisturising than the lipglass. My lips are grateful. The color selection is good and the tube is huge so will last a while. My only gripe is that sometimes the color seems to settle into my vertical lip lines. This usually happens with the milkier/shimmery shades - Briefly Pink, Low light Silver.
I do not like candy striped lips. Although these have incredible staying power, I'll be sticking with my HG Kanebo Super Essence - KATE glosses. Cheaper, glossier, smoother finish, not as sticky/tacky feeling and more moisturising.

I have tried so many of these stains. In my opinion, they are much more practical than the tinted ones because you get more product. MUCH more product. Some of the colors are too weird and milky though. I've swapped away COCKTAIL (I love purple...but not on my lips) Infrared (nice rosy brown, but too plain) SILLY (beautiful color! but it looks alot like Hi-Resin Rose) PITTER PATTER (more lavender than pink, pretty, but like I said I don't do purple) Spectra peach (Lovely golden peach),MLLE MARASCHINO (too milky, made me look dead) And I kept HI-RESIN ROSE (favorite! lovely lovely shimmery rose tone) ELECTRON PINK (looks scary neon pink in the tube, but its a nice true pink :) Like blooms pinkpink only brighter) and PEACH COMPLEMENT.

Really like these- Silly is my current fave. The scent is gorgeous, and the shine is lovely- the hint of shimmer brightens any lipstick colour. Lasts for ages and a cinch to reapply.

Perfection in a squeezie tube! I love nearly every one I own and have tried, and am constantly *needing* more ;) They're creamier and not always as sticky as the Tinted Lipglasses and also have a faint scent which (to me) smells like Key Lime Pie! :} Yay!!! :D

I love Silly the best out of the ones I've tried so far. Silly is a light neutral pink. This gloss lasts forever, very shiny, and is reasonably priced. I bought this off of ebay for 7.50..so I got a great deal on it. It is a bit sticky, though. If you don't like sticky, then I would pass. Can't wait to try more colors!

The lipglass stains are great. They have wonderful colors but the only thing is that I wish they would come out with new colors more regularly instead of having 10 new ones come out at once. They have some odd colors, but some are very classic colors and look great.

I love the Mac lipglass stains!! They taste great and wear so well. They wear down to a nice sheen on the lips, not a spotty here & there kind of thing, nor a total wear off. And they have a nice shine without looking like you have floor shine on your lips. Totally worth twice the money!

I swapped for one of these and to be honest since I got it I have probably only used it 6-7x. The color is pretty (Hi Resin Rose), but there's something about the undertones in it that I don't like. They're just sourta pale and wierd looking.
The formula is also *super* sticky. I for one am not big at all on super sticky thick lip glosses, they're messy and hard to apply for an even application. If I use a really thin coat of this my lips just feel dry(ish) and tacky. It's really quite odd. I also dislike the rounded tip squeeze applicator, slanted tip would have been better

I've just discovered these. I hate lipglass, but I like the lipglass stains. I have two: Infrared Wood and Restrained Rust, which are both gorgeous neutral pinky brown colours. Still a bit sticky (what I hate about lipglass), but not as much as the tints, I find. I love the scent too--very pleasant. The rounded tip isn't great for applying directly onto the lips (a slanted tip would be better), so I just use a lip brush.

I have these in Hi-Resin Rose & Silly, and though these shades are pretty, I couldn't make them last. I managed to get additional shades in Vivid-Tone Violet and Filtered Yellow, and wow! I think the violet is really what the lipglass stains are supposed to be about. It is a very vivid stain, and has MAJOR lasting power! Though I can't really wear the yellow alone, it does amazing things to my lipsticks! (Slice off some Fluid lipstick & mix it with some yellow - the perfect beige!) These shades are highly recommended!
