This is one of the worst eyeshadows I've tried. Maybe because I always use Urban decay or Too faced, so I might have had high expectation for this eyeshadow. When I went to RiteAid, there was a sale so I decided to give it a try, hoping drugstores work as well as other mid range/high end eyeshadows. I was SO WRONG! I had to apply more than 5 layers of colors with primers to make the colors show through, and less than 2 hours, the shadows disappeared. What the heck? is it even really eyeshadow? Not highlighter? Not only that, since it contained shimmers, the shimmer fallouts ended up on my cheek. After less than 5 hours, I was able to see all the glitters on my cheekbone. It was horrible! If you're used to really good eyeshadows, then you will think this is a trash. I'm never buying this again.

I have this in 820, Brushed Suede. This is a matte, rich, chocolate brown color that is almost a perfect match to my skintone. I've been using this for years as a transition color between my brow highlight and contour colors.
After hearing soo many people wax poetic about MAC's Saddle, I decided to visit a MAC counter to see if it was worth all the hype.....not! I find Brushed Suede to be a better color and value for my skintone. I'm soo glad that I didn't waste my money on something that I can find for 2 bucks at a local drugstore. I'd rather use the savings for MAC's Paintpots!
This is a great color for women of color who need a very neutral, transition color or a matte lid color for a 'naked' eye look.

Smooth latte is a dupe for MAC Wedge! The color is almost identical... It's a tan- light brown that doesn't pull too warm or too cool on me... Perfect neutral color for me. Surprisingly, I actually prefer the silky texture of Smooth Latte over MAC Wedge so I would definitely purchase this again.

One of the BEST eye shadows I eve tried. Def HG stat for me. I have oily lids so some eye shadows tend to crease. Not this one tho. It stayed for about 8hr before I had to touch up. I have this in Gilded Bronze 825. It might be too orange for me (I have winter colour palette) but I love it. The pigmentation is awesome. I use it as an all-over colour.
a little tip: put a little concealer then loose/pressed powder on ur lids&it will act like eyshadow primer/base.
This is a great eyeshadow even if ur oily all over :)

I've tried other L'Oreal shadows before and have been disappointed but I couldn't help but give it one more try with another color so this review will be for the single shadow in 212 Midnight Sky - and this one was surprisingly good.
Unlike their other shadows that I've tried, this one is pigmented and has a good texture to it. It is quite soft, easy to blend and does not have any fall out. It is a beautiful dark blue that stays true to the color in the pan and lasts all day. I would recommend this shadow because it a good, basic, inexpensive shadow to have in your collection. However, keep in mind that this may not be indicative of other colors they have so overall, it may be a hit or miss with L'Oreal shadows.

The only shadow I continue to purchase year after year. I have three favorite shades:
For use as an eye liner I like #'s 830 and 826. 826 (antique brown) is a dark gray-brown that matches the outer rim of my eye color exactly. 830 (deep mocha) is a dark brown that also makes a wonderful liner. For lining, I use the sponge applicator that comes with it.
For overall lid color and brow bone highlight, I like the neutral brown duo shade #832 (mocha buff) For application, I use an eyeshadow brush I bought at Sallys. It's the tapered Face Secrets eyeshadow brush.

I have two of these shadows and I just can't get any color payoff without multiple layers. the shadows seem to be very hard and when I try to get some product on my brushes, I can't. So I do use a dark brown one, but I have to layer layer layer. I won'be be buying anymore of these. I love the HIP eyeshadows though, plus I have Milani Javabean and it's super pigmented.

Blendable
Affordable
Dupe of MAC Kid, MAC Wedge, UD Naked e/s
-Cons:
Might not work for darker skin tones

I love these and wish they came out with more colors! The color pay off is great, they last a while ( with a primer underneath), and they blend nicely. I also use one to fill in my brows a little (which they recently discontinued).
9/18/11: They recently changed up all the colors & the packaging for this. I miss the old colors they had. If they were to change these why didn't they just keep the old colors and add the new? I hate when they discontinue good eye shadow colors.

I love these eye shadows. Tip: Apply wet over eye base. Otherwise, there is hardly any pigment. Itches my eyes a bit, but not too bad. Gorgeous range of shades and lasts all night long! Bought it in both Taffeta and Pure Silver.

I was not pleased with these. Bought both a pearle and a matte, but found both to be quite dry and lacking pigment. The packaging seems cheap, and they are a bit too expensive for what you get. Will not repurchase.

These eyeshadows are very nice and pigmented as compared to the quads! I've tried these in the "matte", "pearl" and "satin" and all 3 finishes are very smooth and blend easily and are very pigmented. Will be picking up more of these for sure!

My aunt gave me this with some other eyeshadows and it was one of my first eyeshadows, i didn't really use it much until one day i decided to add a little shimmer to my eyeshadow 'cause it's got a little sparkle to it, or if i just want a light e/s i'll use it but it's not terrific so no i wouldn't buy it again.

I bought the Glistening Sea single about 3-4 years ago at my local Walmart for full price; it is such a beautiful shining blue-green. I love the color and it seems very unique.
The packaging, while not perfect, seems sturdy.
Applied wet seems to make the pigmentation show up much better but don't over do it, otherwise it may ruin the pan shadow. The sponge applicator that it comes with seems to work the best (compared to any of my brushes, at least).
Dry it is a bit sheer, and may require several swipes to get very much pigment. If you can find this shade, I would highly recommend it. At the moment, the one I have bough has lased me a long time but if this was being discontinued (as some singles are) I would repurchase it quickly.

I have a couple of these shadows in the Perle versions.
The white one, and copper penny.
They're very sheer, and the color payoff is very low.
I find it hard to build color with these shadows, nevermind get any color on the brush or to swatch.
It is smooth, but it just doesn't do anything for me.
A waste of money in my opinion, but one (wo)man's junk is another's treasure!
If it works on you, it's a steal.

The colours of these eye shadows are very pretty pastels (at least the ones I own). I loved them when I bought them, but I find that they go on way too sheer and you can barely see the colours on your eye lids. Plus, it rubs off.

I just bought two matte shadows at a BOGO sale. I purchased Seashell and Deep Mocha. The Seashell (light pinkish) is a very pretty natural shade that works all over your eye and as a highlighter. Mocha is a little dark for me during the day, but I will try it again with less shadow on my brush. I am a cheap skate, and only wear department store shadow (PX) at night. L'Oreal works fine for me during the day.

I have this in Shroom Shimmer. It provides a light wash of brightening color to the eye, however, it's lasting and non-creasing capabilities are not great at all. I don't plan to repurchase, as the product really isn't worth the money due to exactly how poor it performs on the eye the longer that it is worn. Also, the packaging is really flimsy, which makes it easily breakable.

I have this in Ferocious Fuchsia, and I was going to look at the other shades, but I couldn't find this shade. Confused, I looked at the packaging, the 'newer' packaging is silver and has a words written in it, whereas mine is gold and has leopard or cheetah print in it. I'm very confused to if anyone could alert me if mine was limited edition or something, it'd be much appreciated. Back to the product, It's a very nice purple-pink with a blue undertone to it. It does stay on for quite awhile on me, and my 'primer' is Revlon's Creme Eyeshadow.
