This is my favourite cleansing oil for removing makeup, including waterproof mascara and long-lasting cream eyeliner. Although it advises you to use three pumps each time, I find two light pumps sufficient after a light makeup day (mineral foundation, mascara, blush) and maybe, maybe three after a heavier makeup day (cream foundation, mascara, major eye makeup, blush, lipstick). It really gets everything off and washes off without leaving my skin oily like Shu Uemura's cleansing oils did.
For best performance, apply to a dry face with dry hands after warming up the oil a bit in your hands and very lightly massage it into your skin for ten seconds or so, including your eye area if you're wearing eye makeup. Wet your hands with warm water and repeat the light massaging all over your face. The oil will emulsify with the water and thicken up, so you will likely add more water gradually, but be very light-handed with the water. Just add enough so to facilitate massaging makeup off your face, including your lashes and eye area. Rinse off with warm water once your makeup feels like it's off.
I do use it in combination with my cleanser afterwards, IPSA's Cleansing Creamy Milk EX, as I was advised by my IPSA salesperson.
I absolutely love this cleansing oil, despite its price. The packaging is nice as well. A note to those storing extras on their sides: the oil can leak out over the course of months in the most minute amounts (very minimal), so store it right side up.

I love this product!!! This is the best cleansing oil I’ve tried. And, honestly I’ve tried many (DHC, Shu Uemura etc.). I’ve been using it for the past 5 years and I’m still amazed how easy it is to remove all makeup with this product. It isn’t greasy, sticky or smelly. No breakouts, no residue. Of course, after I use it I use a mild cleanser. And, my skin feels great, not tight or oily. It isn’t cheap, but it will last you for a long time. I use it every day and it lasts me 4 to 5 months. Great, great product!

Been using this for 3 years now. Its a great and gentle make up remover for all kinds of make up.
I heard of very good reviews for FANCL too but the thought of having to finish the product in 3 months deterred me from buying it. One bottle of IPSA lasts me at least 4-5months as all you need is one pump to clean your face.
Absolutely recommended.

My friend bought me a bottle when she was visiting from Asia. She told me to try this as she thinks this is so cool. I normally use a foaming cleanser myself. But since she recommended to me, I thought I give it a try. After using this cleanser, my skin felt so soft and not drying like my foaming cleanser. It takes off all my makeup and even the hardest mascara came right off. I've asked my friend to send me another bottle when she goes back to Asia.

i LOVE this! <3 it's my favourite cleansing oil. i don't wear waterproof makeup so i'm not sure how it fares in that area, but it removes all my base makeup effectively and cleanly. and it's easy to use cos i don't have to emulsify before rinsing off. also when my skin is particularly sensitive i don't get any slight burning feeling with this as i did with the previous cleansing oils i've used. my only gripe is that i finished it very fast (at 4 pumps each time)

I have oily-acne prone skin. This product is very suitable for my skin. It's not oily anymore ,It ligtly removes allmake up and excess oil very very well! Its scent is nice too, mild lavender.I think,it's better than Shu Uemura cleansing oil that I' ve ever use, that is quite oily.I'll surely repurchase it.

I love this cleansing oil the best! I have tried Shu Uemura and Fancl and found this the most effective and easy to apply. Fancl was a tad too oily while Shu Uemura didn't "glide" on easily. After massaging onto my face, I continue with some water. The oil is so soluble and rinses off easily. Highly recommended.

I have sensitive normal-to-dry skin and this is the best makeup remover I have tried. Highly recommend it. I think it is even better than Shu Uemura, Fancl etc.

I got this in a swap from a fantastic swapper in Sweden otherwise I never would've had a chance to try it since IPSA isn't available in the U.S. It's fantastic and I'm now a cleansing oil convert. I'm also mostly likely going to be quite desperate when I run out of this and can't arrange a CP from Asia. Today I wore a full face--piles of make-up over two layers of sunscreen--and it all just dissolved off with the oil. I swear it was almost like magic. Lancome Bi-Facil doesn't even compare. I was applying the oil to my face with a cotton pad like regular makeup remover at first but then I discovered the more effective and economical way of squirting the oil onto my hands and rubbing it all over my dry face before rinsing. Oddly enough, it's water-soluable. I haven't tried DHC, Shu, and others so I can't compare but I don't have an interest in trying them unless I can't get IPSA anymore. The scent is also fantastic--a little like lavendar and a little like vanilla. This stuff is fantastic. Definite HG for me =)

I went through a bout of trying a lot of different cleansing oils (HABA, Shu, Fancl)cos I heard that they can dissolve and clean makeup off better. This is the best I've tried so far. It doesn't break me out, it smells good and it dissolves makeup easily!

This is pretty good cleansing oil, well better than SHU because it does not cause me any breakouts or irritation. This is lighter than DHC cleansing oil but thicker than SHU and cleanses very well. Does not leave any residues at all. I alternate using this with KP cleansing oil.

if not for Fancl, it would be the greatest cleansing oil of all time. get rid of water-proof mascara in a swift, doesnt need to rub your skin and get rid of all make-up. less fragrant(ly) and more watery than RMK. actally both of them are equally great. have been using IPSA cleasing oil for 5 years but just changed to Fancl which claims to contain no chemical oil and, best of all, no preservative. so i am ditching this long-time lover.

This is a pretty good cleansing oil. I've tried quite a few other cleansing oils (Shu, RMK, Fancl), and I quite like this one. The texture is light, removes all my makeup effortlessly and doesn't have any unpleasant scent. This rinses off well and doesn't cause any breakouts either. I think the price is quite reasonable as well so this might be a good alternative if you're considering a cleansing oil.

Cleansing oils are so terrific!! They remove my make up sooo effortlessly and are washed out easily with water. Cleansing oils are NOT regular oils. They are water soluble!! I got a sample of this and was scared to put this on my face, but after I tried that, I bought a full size bottle!! I have not tried Shu Uemura yet, but this is cheaper than that and does its job. I don't even need an eye make up remover. This does everything. However it can be a little drying afterwards. I only use this when I wear foundation.
