I have saggy eyelids. It's genetic. All my family's lids droop from under the brow over the eyelid as we age. It starts after 30. Yes I would love an eye-lift of George Clooney quality but I would be afraid the result would be more Joan Rivers. I never considered that there would be a product for saggy lids. I bought this to help reduce my crows feet (I am blessed with them too!). Imagine my surprise and delight when, after only one application, my eyelids didn't droop as much!! I couldn't believe it. Same thing happened the next day, and the next.... It doesn't reduce it completely but I am definitely more alert looking (without the "surprised teddy bear" look). I would definitly recommend trying it. I use only the tiniest amount each day - it is dispensed from a dropper (I hate them) but I merely wipe the tip of my ring finger on the outside of the dropper to get less than a grain of rice, press my two ring fingers together, then apply all over my lids and under the eye sockets. I hope this way to make it last longer as it is very expensive and I don't want to have to buy it more than once every two years!!!

It does seem to reduce the appearence of dark circles and it fills in the fine lines around mymeyes. Mfor 36 years old my eye area looks better than when I was in my 20's! But the price...a little bit goes a long way thank God!

I liked this as a "primer" for eye cream. But the packaging was irritating as I depleted the product, and it didn't offer enough "depuffing" action to warrant buying it again.

Such a great product. I splurged and purchased a bottle of this last year when I got horrible allergies from working in a library. The dust really screwed up the area around my eyes, but this soothed my red, itchy, swollen eyes really fast. It might have been the result of many things at the time, but I owe part of it to La Prairie. Wish I could keep buying this... =(

I'm also impressed that there's no alcohol in this. Usually, eye gels have some sort of alcohol in the top ingredients.

Takes care of under eyes circles like no other eye product I have used, which includes products from Clarins, Givenchy, Lancome, Darphin, Clinque, Origins and Chanel. For me, the transformative result was almost immediate: darkness reduced to such an extent that under eye area in general appears more refreshed and brighter. Expensive yes, but worth it for this level of performance.

I am very happy with this eye serum. It helps diminish my fine lines/wrinkles and keeps the eye area hydrated in conjunction with an eye cream.

Cause I'm always on the hunt for less expensive products with similar results, I tried Shiseido's Benefiance NutriPerfect Eye Serum. Shiseido's serum was nice but LP's serum works better for my eyes. The lines are even less pronounced and the upper portion of my eyes look more refreshed and awake with LP's. I know both of these products actually work because I stopped using an eye serum for a few weeks, whilst still using my Awake eye cream. Wow, my eyes aged a whole decade in those few weeks. The lines and wrinkles were pronounced and the area quite dry. I couldn't apply my corrector or concealer without making the eye area a lined and crepey mess. I quickly started back up with LP's eye serum and my eyes look much better as well as makeup application easier.

The only reason this doesn't get a 5 rating is that it doesn't help much with my moderate to heavy dark circles. That said, nothing I've tried helps with my circles (including using all serums with the Clarisonic Opal). Also, I wish this came in a pump form.

It's pricey $120 but not as bad as the corresponding Caviar eye cream $295. I do love that it's travel friendly.

This has been the best product I've found in years for my eyes. It has really soothed my crepey, sensitive dry eyes and stopped them sagging so much in the mornings! I use the cellular eye cream over the top and this is perfect for me. It is very expensive but I'm happy to pay for something that actually works as I've wasted so much money trying loads of other products.

This is one of the best products I have ever used. I bought a full bottle in December (08) and finished it in July(09)! This is a very runny serum, almost as a water. I used it once a day (night time only) and still could see a result. I think that the effect is very cumulative. It didn't show up immediately but after one month of using I could really see that my eye lids were really lifted and no other cream had ever given me such an effect. This is what impressed me the most. I think that for a few months later I could still feel it.
The whole eye area actually became more tight and creepiness had disappeared. But you still need to use a richer cream to moisture and protect the area.
Very expensive product but worth it and last for a long time. I will definitely buy it when I feel that I need some lifting again :)

I paid the hefty price tag after reading all the rave reviews, but after finishing a bottle, I am so disappointed. I can say that it is a good product to sooth and firm the morning puffiness around the eyes, but I can certainly find similar products that are a lot cheaper. Other than that, the lines under my eyes are still there. so my quest for eye treatment will continue

I've received enough samples of this to be able to write a review. It says on the package that this is supposed to make your eyes appear tighter immediately. I've used it for 3-4 weeks and did not see any results. It is not supposed to do anything about your dark circles or wrinkles. Just to make your lids tighter and make them ready to apply another eye cream on top. I won't buy it because it did not do anything for my lids.

This La Prairie product is one of my LP "must haves". I have been using it for 15 years and still get great results from the product, especially now I'm mid 50's. A little does really go a long way and I love how I can put this on my entire eye area with no negative side effects. I think a lot of negative reviewers didn't realize you must layer another eyecream on top of this after it dries for maximum results. I love the LP Radiance eye cream layered with this serum. I took one star away because for some reason over the years and with the hundreds of application, I still struggle with the little pump. I either get too much, none at all, or only a bubble at the end of the glass pump. This product is so worth it, however ... I can see now that really taking care of the eye area is worth it.

I've been using this product since my early 20s and I just love it. I couldn't say how many bottles I've been through over the years. At first I only used it on special occasions, but I've becomes so addicted I now use it every day. It makes me eye area feel tighter and fresher. I don't have any fine lines around my eyes, which is probably more to do with my obsessive use of sunscreen and I use an eye cream with AHAs at night, but I'm sure this has something to do with it too. Will definitely keep repurchasing.

I bought this product because of the great reviews here (along with the Caviar lifting luxe eye cream) and I have been very disappointed. It is nice to apply and gives a refreshing feeling immediately after application and the packaging is elegant and hygienic (hence 2 lippies) but it did nothing against dark circles nor undereye puffiness I always have when waking up.On the contrary, after almost a week of use, I noticed that the undereye puffiness would not disappear completely by midday as it usually does. It is as if the essence would lift the area without depuffing it ! After shelling out about 500 USD for both products, I expected the best of care and major improvement, not a worsening of my eye area !
I just gave this product with the Caviar eye cream (which I also reviewed here) to my mother, hoping they would be more suitable for her.

I'm on my 3rd bottle.

I only ever buy the same thing more than once if I find that it is exceptional otherwise I keep trying new products hoping for a HG.

Despite the high price I have inducted this product into my stable beauty regime because it has tightened the skin on my left eye lid. That eye had started to droop over my eyelashes. It had very fine wrinkles but they were more like just a lost of elastin. After using this product the skin has plumped right up. The left and right eye both match now and I think the size of the fold is more noticable too on both eyes than it has been for years. Thats why I swear by this product. It really does to something.

My new HG eye serum! For essence of caviar, this is remarkably non-greasy and feels sublimely comfortable on the skin. My eye area is immediately tightened upon application and the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and puffiness are obliterated. The light, unscented serum is easily absorbed, utilizing caviar extracts and sea proteins to combat eyelid and under-eye aging. Love the ingenious cap-dropper that gives precise control over how much is used. A little goes a l-o-n-g way and 15ml easily lasts 5 to 6 months. Many brands claim to immediately tackle tired and puffy eyes, but Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex is by far the closest to actually deliver on its promise. Move over, La Mer The Eye Concentrate!

I have a love-hate relationship with this product. At first, I was disappointed as it tends to emphasize my fine lines more and make my eye area seem too tight. I called the SA and she told me that I have to lay over another eye cream on top. And that's the time I see the logic of using this e/c. It is runny, absorbs quickly, glues whatever you put on top, lifts the eye area, lightens circles and enhances the effect of any eye cream you lay on top of it by 10 times.

Although, the lifting effect is fantastic, I find that it is just as good as my clarins eye lifting serum ('coz I am lazy and a cheapo). I also think that applying two separate things on the eye area (excluding foundation and spf) negates the anti-aging effect of any product due to too much tagging. Overall, the smoothing and lifting effect is spectacular but I would prefer a one catch-all eye product.

Oh gosh...I went to the counter and ask for something to resolve dark circle. They reccommend the illuminating eye essence. I haven't seen a review here of the same product. Has anyone used this?
Well, they place it on my face, even over make up...Once I arrived home, I thought wow, I don't look as tried, and maybe one of these day I can get rid of my concealer.....I wish it doesnt work ...$$$ 170 more than the cavier essence....oh dear!
