I like the volume it gives to my hair and the smell is nice. I like it but for me it is nothing special.

I really like this product I find that it is not thick hair and does what it says, adds good volume. But the only reason that it has got 3 stars is because after a few days I go to strighten my hair and and it makes my hair all greasy and horrible. If it did not do this after a few days I would love this product. For that reason don't know if I would buy again :(

Sorry to be debbie downer but this didn't work at all for me. I tried it before blowdrying and it just made my hair feel gunky and knotty, no oomph at all. When i used it on dry hair it made my hair look super oily and limp and it felt gross. It also smells foul and the packaging looks cheap. For something like this I much prefer American Crew forming cream (mens product, i know) it is amazing!

if you love this then try this:
Best Tip ever for this Product i saw on youtube!!!
there was a hairstylist and she said to mix in your hand with a volume mousse. i tried and wow! now i love small talk even more. because i get huge volume that lasts two days.
i have a bit over shoulder lenght fine, but a lot of hair, lightly waved. i use one pump of ST and a golf ball size amount of a volume foam (mine is from wella) and mix it in my hands like i would lotion my hands, than put it all over my damp not superwet hair, roots and lenghts.
then i blow dry and the result is amazing.
the price to me is fine because it lasts so long.
the smell....i am not a huge fan, but i got used to it:) and it disappears after few hours.
will buy again and again and again..

Wonderful product from the scent to the packaging to the total results. Has a grape scent which lingers throughout the day which I love! I first curl my hair then use half a pump and apply an even amount from mid shaft to ends then blow dry with a diftuser and break curls up. Wonder soft shiny finish, with a light suttle hold. Perfect for voluminous tousled locks.

I love this product!!! I't gives my hair the volume I want and it helps to style my hair wonderfully. Looks healthy and bouncy after using.
It's easy to apply: just one pump in your hands and when it makes contact with my wet hair, it kinda slips into it. I let it airdry for 3/4, shape my hair in the meantime and then I blow dry.
At first it feels- anld looks a little crispy, but when you leave it for a short while, it turns into a soft, shiny finish.
After blown dry, I hold my head upside down and add a little (about half a pump) underneath the layers and will not touch it untilll the product has dryed down. IMO the best way to use it when having a bob with layers.
Love it!

I find that when I use this on my hair and don't blow dry it leaves my hair crispy. It does thicken it but I don't like to have crispy hair. I tried blow drying my hair afterwards and it feels soft and bouncy not crispy. I think this product would work best on someone with shorter hair with a layered cut. It looks like it would give great texture to that hair style. I will still continue to look for a better thickener.

This gives my shoulder length hair root lift, volume and gloss. I also really like the fruity sweet smell. I see mixed reviews here so it doesn't suit everyone but for those it does there really is nothing like it, not that I have tried anyway.

Favorite styling product. Tames frizz and adds volume like no other single product. I squirt out less than a full pump, since too much product can leave hair heavy and greasy feeling. Get the amount right and it gives life and body to damaged hair.

I love this product! I have very strictly normal (and boring) hair, and I can't be bothered to do any styling at any time of the day, not even blow-drying, so all I do now is just put a tiny amount of this stuff and my hair just looks better. It gives a more naturally volumised look, not the kind of 'real' I-just-got-out-of-bed-it's-super-teased-and-wild look, but just enough volume to give the hair some movement. It definitely does not work like a hair gel, so don't get this if that's the kind of styling product you want. In my experience, this works better with dryer hair, rather than wet hair that is left to dry or is blow-dryed.
As for the smell, I get why people may not be a fan of it, but honestly, the smell literally disappears after about 5 minutes (unless you really take a giant strand of your hair and smell it), so I have no complaints about it. It also smells exactly like nerds grape candy. Very sweet, but it really doesnt make much difference to me.
A little goes a long way, so you only need a tiny bit for the whole head. If you apply too much, your hair will definitely be all gross and sticky. Because you only need a little each time, this giant bottle is worth it's price for sure. The only qualm is that this bottle is literally gigantic! It will take me at least 2-3 years to finish this product, and while I may be saving a lot of money, I don't fancy using this product non-stop for years. It'll be much better if this was in smaller (but equally cute) packaging.
EDIT: When I first wrote this, my hair was slightly higher than my shoulders. I have now grown out my hair to my shoulder blades, and have given up using this product, and have switched to Bumble and Bumble. Honestly this product gives me more volume than BB, but this product only works with short hair. I use the same tiny amount as I always have, but now it just weighs down my hair and makes it look lanky and kinda gross. Do not buy this bottle unless you have short hair and intend to keep it at that length!

This was an impulse purchase and now I can’t go without it. It’s my all time favorite hair product and it’s as good as that!
I bought this after a cutting my hair in a lob, with some small layers and it looks like this boring flat blob of hair so the sales associate said this product would make it look great. For a month I didn’t use it because it was way too stick on hair and if that’s something I hate its stiff sticky hair. It doesn’t come with instructions, which sucks but I think it’s because you can use whenever: I’ve used it with my hair wet, damp, dry, 3rd day hair…
This transforms my hair, it always makes it shinier, with loads of texture and smelling so sweet! I just bought 2 backups on a sale because I know I’ll use it up.

I cut my long hair off a month or so ago and my stylist used this product making my hair look fantastic. But I didn't buy it coz I was all like "mousse will do the same job of giving bounce and shine to my hair". It didn't. So I invested in a bottle of Small Talk and I'm so glad I did. It's hard enough trying to get used to a bob when I've had long hair for so long, but styling it was alot harder than I anticipated. This product gives me huge hair when I use it and then blowdry it, and because my hair is kinda fly-away frizzy I straighten it, which makes it sleek and shiny with bounce. If I airdry my hair with this product I don't get huge hair but a bit of oomph and some wavyness, so I think its quite versatile. The scent is... unique. I quite like it but I suppose thats because I'm a dirty hippie and I only wash my hair every 3rd day. I can see how people who wash their hair every day and use this would get sick of the scent quickly. it did cost AUS $30 from a hairdresser so I guess thats why I'm not giving full marks because quite frankly I could have gone to priceline and gotten a volumiser for under $10 which may have worked as well, but I have since found it online for $20. Overall a very good product though.

I bought this product on a whim last year because the packaging was purple and i thought it might settle down my hair after washing. Little did i know i had just found my number one styling product.
My younger sister hardly works due to her studies and so constantly likes to mooch off my salon brand hairproducts, stealing my shampoo and conditioner, using my GHD, wasting my hairspray etc and when it came to this product she had secretly been stealing it after every wash until i had none left! She then went out and spent her own money to buy herself a bottle since she feels it is the perfect product for her very long, curly hair, which seeing she went out and bought her own speaks for itself. I will always buy re-buy this product. I use a small amount on damp hair and let it airdry. I get nice soft waves with medium hold and a beautiful grape scent! Only negative is that it feels slimey in your hands and can take a bit of handwashing to get that slimey feeling off your hands.

Love it, love it, LOVE IT!
My favourite hair product ever. I have naturally wavy hair so depending on the day they can be either curly or straight but usually they are kind of just somewhere in between. This product brings out the curls when applied to dry hair and it makes my hair beautifully straight when applied to wet hair (towel-dry). Just one pump is enough and I have quite long hair. I apply it to the ends and to the middle, I don't recommend applying it to the roots, it can make your hair look greasy and dirty. Then I just work through my hair with fingers, curling them messily and I have a perfect bed head which looks like I just got up and walked out the door!
I'm not a big fan of the smell, other TiGi products smell a lot better. But it could be worse and the effects certainly make up for the smell.
Packaging is perfect - the pump lets you have just the right amount of product and you can take it with one hand, very convenient.

The smell is a little weird, but it's worth the suffering, in my opinion. I found that this product isn't all too fantastic the first day, but it is lovely in second-day hair. My hair is always super shiny, bouncy, and HUGE! Careful not to apply too much. This stuff is very powerful.

Love this! I think the packaging is kind of love/hate. I like how much it dispenses, one pump is perfect and I love the purple bottle- however it always gunks up in the spout and is kind of gross and crusty, which makes me a little wary of how intense this product is. I think you could definitely put too much in.
However- I put one pump on my hands, after I shower and rub it through my hair from the bottom and it gives me tons of volume even if I am just air drying. I don't use it for full on styling too much because it is very thick, I prefer a wax for just chunky layers. Also works great with curlers and smells great.

Texture, shine, and bounce. Another MUA reviewer hit the nail on the head. A pea sized amount of small talk applied throughout (even at the roots!) gives my hair tons of volume, noticeable shine, and a little bit of grip. I do have a love/hate relationship with the smell, and I frequently have to take "time off" from the sometimes sickly-sweet scent. The results, however, are totally worth it. The only thing I really *hate* is the non-locking dispenser, but it can be repackaged for travel.

So I only found out today that this product is meant to be for curly/wavy hair. I've been using it on and off for a few years, and started when I was compulsively straightening my hair. I love the volume it gives fine hair (mine is baby-thin but I have loads of it), and it has fantastic slip, so you only need a teeny tiny amount and it lasts for ages. Using more than a pea-size amount for shoulder-length hair WILL result in a gunky product look. Less is more!
However, the other day I tried it with scrunching and air-drying my wavy/curly hair (usually I use it when blow-drying straight or brushing it leaving to air-dry wavy). This didn't work for me AT ALL, so I can't recommend it for fine-textured curlies. For wavies and those with straight hair who want more oomphf and some shine, I think it's fantastic.
Slightly pricey but does last for ages. Great packaging - really sturdy, and good dispenser for controlling product output. However it's impossible to lock it without wasting loads of product, so it's not great for travel.

Soo, I was drawn in by the word 'Energiser'. I have long hair that I straighten then lightly tousle/curl with my GHD. This gives me the undone, wavy 'bed head' (no other way to say it!) look. Which of course, looks even better on the second day, so I was looking for a product I could very lightly tousle and scrunch in my roots and ends to tame flyaways, give it a bit of height and keep it smelling fresh.
I've tried this on damp AND dry hair, working it near the roots, pulling upwards and blowdrying with a brush. I used an amount about the size of a pea and it made my usually fluffy voluminous do very weighed down, and gave it that 'greasy product OVERDOSE' look.
Long haired girls, KEEP WALKING!
Oh, and I'm a massive fan of sweet candy scents but this is fowl, like the purple 'nerds' candy. Baby Prostitute.
Going to try After Party tomorrow, it seems more fitting a product!
