I'm really sad that I have to write this review. I absolutely adore the scent - it's pretty and sweet without being cheap. I wanted to love it and keep it forever... but it gave me a pretty severe allergic reaction on my skin.
Please note that I don't have sensitive skin and I'm not really allergic to anything, so this came as quite a surprise. I like to spray perfume on my pulse points, like my wrists and neck. When I spray this perfume on my skin, it makes me look bruised in that area! The rash would stay on my skin for a few days, even after I stopped using this. While it didn't physically hurt, it looked so bad everytime I used this perfume, so I had to return it. :(

I love love love this perfume SO MUCH but alas the staying power is so terribly weak I can never really bring myself to justify the price of it. Every now and again I am able to win it at a semi affordable price on eBay. I've even tried layering it.... :/ just doesn't last long enough for the high price tag. I'll purchase again just because I love scent but to keep it around longer I only use it as 'night out' perfume.

The smell is very much like Falling in Love by Philosophy yet this one stays on longer. I love the scent and it is pretty and light for the summer.

No.9 is a relatively natural-smelling blackberry, It is not artificial, nor too candied, and has a green "blackberry bramble" type of scent. However, lasting power is pretty weak. On me, it lasts... maybe 2-3 hours? However, there is a pleasant, barely detectable drydown of clean musk after the scent fades. Regardless, I do need to reapply periodically.

I have to be in the mood to wear this. Definitely too sweet for me to reach for everyday. This is blackberry and vanilla and nothing more. And stop comparing this to drug store and BBW fragrances. This fragrance has been knocked off more than a Chanel bag so yes, you will smell cheaper imitations but #9 is the original.

I did not like this one. It smells like very sweet blackberry candy. As people said here, there is no drydown in this perfume. Overall, the staying power is good but this sweet scent annoyed me after a couple hours. I would say it smells chip and you can find something like this or even better in VS or Bath and Body Works.

Okay I LOVE this perfume. I smelled it when a lady sprayed it at Nordstrom and I knew I had to have it. It's a very sweet smelling scent that reminds me of a candy store. However, it''s supposed to be a sexy smell composed of blackberry and vanilla. The blackberry is pretty prominent but in a good way. Anyway, I never liked sweet candy like fragrances but this one is just way too amazing. AND it smells great on me. Not something that you would wear to work though...this is more for nighttime or dates. Downside is the price..its $50 for a 1ml bottle :(

Trish McEvoy, I love you for this. Ahh, #9 is my favorite. I really like it a lot more than Sexy 9.
I love, love, LOVE Blackberry And Vanilla....you have no idea.
And the only other perfume that smells like blackberry and vanilla is Hanne Mori but it smells like you dipped in a fruit salad and came up with blackberries.
Trish McEvoy's takes it to a whole new level, I love mixing them. I like #6 too!
It would totally be worth the splurge if it lasted longer in scent.
At Nordies, last Christmas, they had a roller ball, plus lotion and the perfume for $90, and it's normally $90 by it's self so if you got that, consider yourself lucky because there were only 12 :( By the time I got off that day, it was all gone... Unbelievable.

Very cheap smell, drugstore like that of the body spray for man that starts with A... Not at all sexy. Just plain fruty and sweet, annoying I'd say. Very weak for parfume, completelly gone after 3-4 hours.
Age: 56 & Over Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Silver Eyes: Brown
I love the scent of this perfume..I rotate 3 perfumes, Casmir, Poeme and #9...I get compliments on all of them, but #9 has NO staying power at all. After a couple hours, it is simply gone.

Sorry to be a buzz kill, but I am very disappointed in this fragrance. Thankfully I got it in a swap. It's very fruity, very sweet and nothing else. It doesn't dry down into anything special on me and it reminds me of a BBW body spray or something I could find in the drug store. I did however find the staying power to be great. Of course it was, it always is for the fragrances I hate. Up for swap this one goes.

I can't find a dupe to replace this. I love this scent, but it's expensive and the staying power is not good. It's not too sweet or cloying. It's the perfect scent and I love how it smells on me...I want to rate this a 5, but for how quickly I go through a bottle, how expensive it is, and the lack of staying power, I am giving it a 4.

This is not a scent I would wear on an everyday basis. I sit close to patients at work and I have to be careful with my choice of fragrance. This is a definitive scent and it's not shy so it will be noticed. If you are looking for a blackberry and vanilla musk scent, this is the one to buy. It has a sophistication about it that others are lacking. It is also long-lasting. In my opinion, this type of scent would be best for the fall/winter and evening wear. But it's all about personal preference I guess. Trish's scents are pricey but the quality is there and in my opinion, they are well wore the $.

Of all the blackberry/vanilla fragrances out there -- Trish McEvoy is the first, original and best of the lot. It doesn't smell fake, cheap or cloying. It's a beautiful balance of all the notes and linger a long time on the skin. It's linear and doesn't morph into a plain musk drydown or overly sweet melange of 'eww' like some other companies blackberry/vanilla's. (Namely Philosophy's and BBWs -- too tooth -achingly sweet --- nonetheless fleeting!!). Trish's is sophisticated sweetness for all sensualists who want to get some sweet something something without too much of a good thing. Be cautious w/ this --- don't make the mistake of overspraying and drenching yourself in this magical elixir! Less is more! If you care about such things, Trish McEvoy Blackberry and Vanilla Musk is one of the best man magnets out there! Reel 'em in gals! They'll smile and flirt and ask what smells so good --- but the rest is up to you. Make sure you have the smile --- and charisma to pull it off! If you are shy this is a good choice as men will give you attention wearing this -- How could they not -- it's sweet, effervessent and delicious! Enjoy!!

To me, this smells like sweet/tart blackberry candy and not much else. I don't get any vanilla at all. The scent is fairly linear - it doesn't change too much from the time I spray it til it's gone. On me the lasting power is fine. I get several hours out of it before I have to reapply. If you like pretty, fruity, one-dimensional scents definitely give this a try. The only qualm I have is that it's quite expensive for what it is. It's not entirely unlike something you could buy at B&BW for a third of the price. However, I love that you can buy a 15 ml bottle... perfect for people like me who wear a lot of different scents.

I need to start by saying I love the smell of this perfume...I really do. It smells great, and drys down very nicely. However, the staying power is awful......and for the price I think the staying power should be better. If it lasted longer, I would definitely buy this again.....but I just can't justify it.

I love love love this perfume....its by far my favorite!! It smells so fresh and clean, I actually feel beautiful just wearing it...silly I know but it really does make me feel more confident. I get so many compliments when I wear it. This perfume will always be part of my collection!

i LOVE this perfume. Definitely one of my favorites and I am really pickey with my fragrances. It's really unique, smells great from the second you spray it on. it is a fresh but warm scent. pretty bottle. it is a little on the expensive side but i would buy it again.

I am not what you would call a "perfume person". I can't tell the difference between "layers" and what scent you smell first and the "drydown" scent, etc. I either like it or not. Usually I dont like perfumes. I can count on 1 hand how many I either like and/or own. This is one of them. I also am not a fan or berry scents but for some reason I love this. It smells sexy, yet feminine and pretty. My fiance actually commented how he liked this. He is another perfume hater. In 7 years of dating this and BB's Beach are the only 2 perfumes he has ever said he liked. I can wear this day or night, all seasons of the year but in the Winter time is my favorite time of the year wearing this. Yes, it is similar 2 Philosophy's Falling In Love but it has a different....."something" 2 it. I like FIL more for the Spring/Summer though.
Age: 36-43 Skin: Combination, Fair, Neutral Hair: Brown, Straight, Fine Eyes: Blue
PROS: Delicious. Woodsy, almost musky, with berries. Very mild and a little sweet. It's somewhat similar to Bath and Body Work's black raspberry/vanilla products, but more sophisticated and earthy (if that's possible lol). It's a parfum, so the lasting power is great.
CONS: May be not be liked by those who don't like sweet (but really, it shouldn't be a surpise; blackberry and vanilla are in the name.)
ALTERNATES: If you like this, you may like Philosophy's Falling in Love or Unconditonal Love. Also Bath and Body Works has a wonderful fragrance line with a black raspberry/vanilla scent that is extremely reasonable.
