This is the first Rimmel product I have ever bought, and I'm pretty impressed! I would say this trio is one of the best drugstore eyeshadows on the market. The colors glide on and blend impeccably, and are fairly pigmented.
The lid color is a medium brown that I find has a little bit of pink undertones to it. It's nice to wear on it's own or with the full trio to amp it up. The only problem I have with this color is that if I've had a long night (or an emotional one) and my eye lids are red the next morning, the color will translate into a orange-y beige, even with primer.
The darkest color is a plum brown that is so pigmented, it's almost ridiculous! I only put a tiny bit on my brush and blend this into my crease, and the job is done.
I have no problems with the white highlight. It's matte and does the trick. No complaints.
So yes, overall this trio is definitely worth purchasing, especially for the money. It's just the right colors of neutrals that it will look good on almost everybody.

I bought this product at walgreens for under 3$, and wasn't expecting it to be very good, seeing how cheap it was. WOW, was I wrong! I love this eyeshadow trio! It's extrememely versatile, non chalky and the colors are very pigmented and long lasting especially under a primer. I really love the white in this trio, it's my go to browbone highlight for any look that I do, it's just the perfect highlight! The lighter brown is also a great everyday lid color and also can be used in the crease, while i mainly use the dark brown as liner and in the outer corner! Even if this trio cost 20$, I would still buy it over and over again, because the colors are just so perfect for that natural, everyday eye look which I love to wear!

I love this trio! Whenever I need a nude eye, this is my go-to palette! It never creases on me, it's not chalky, its pigmented, and lasts the whole day. It's cheap drugstore eyeshadow trio that would complement anyone. Seriously... It's amazing!

A nice neutral trio. If you have blue eyes like me, pair it with the Deep Ocean Exaggerate Liner. Cheap and lovely!

A very nice cooler brown neutral trio. The colors go very well together, easy to blend, pigmented, not chalky, and no fall out. I have had no problem with fading over primer. A great choice for an everyday shadow, very wearable, not a lot of shimmer, and would go with almost any outfit. You can do a very easy smoky eye, or more traditional with the darker color in the crease. The packaging was fine, there is plenty of room to get your brushes in the colors.

i really am glad that Rimmel upgraded their products esp their shadows. i have the older quads which i liked but wasnt impressed w/ them. the new "GLAM EYES" collection of shadows are really great!
=PRICE/AVAILABILITY=
The Rimmel Glam Eyes Trios can be found in most drugstores like CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, as well as mass stores like Walmart & Target. Availability & price will vary depending on your location as well as sales/discounts. The trios run around $3. which is a fair price, even for a cheapo like me! Rimmel also offers some coupons in the US in some of the Sunday papers.
=SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE=
The Rimmel Glam Eyes Trio in "Orion" reminds me alot of the quad called "Smokey Brun" in the way it seems like they are the same shadows just minus one shadow. but ORION is a great neutral toned trio that can make many great daytime looks! It has 3 shadows- which are triangular in shape, you get
the biggest triangle/shadow- this is a great basic brown bronze champagne, this is meant to be worn as a wash all over the lid. when u swatch this, in a certain angle, it looks a tiny bit lit a pinky bronze shade.this is great for that. or even in the crease for a more natural look. it does have a metallic sheen finish. a basic but still very pretty shadow
second biggest triangle/shadow- this is a great matte skin tone color which does make a great natural browbone highlight or great blending color. its great all over the lid as well for a wash. isnt it nice the d/s companies are finally giving us matte shadows?! um heck ya!
smallest triangle/shadow- this is a great matte milk chocolate brown. its great for adding depth into the crease or outer v or smoking out liners. Its dark enough but can also be blended for a less dramatic look.
All the glam eyes shadows are very soft, almost butter smooth & can be applied easily as well as blended nicely. they are far better than they once were. They are all smooth, no chunks, no fall out that i can see! they dont need a bunch of layers to show up! they are very nice shadows & these wear great as well. As i always suggests, with any shadow, esp drugstore & if you have oily skin, always use an eye primer & if you prefer, a cream base. This will make the shadows last a lot longer. with primer, these will last at least 7-8 hrs with little to no fading or creasing, on their own, id say about 5 hrs or so which really is good for d/s shadows. ORION is a great neutral trio that i think everyone will enjoy. its one of the no fuss trios that you dont have to think out beforehand or worry about techniques, it will look good no matter what you do! the colors are great together or added to looks. i really do enjoy this!
=PACKAGING=
The Rimmel Glam Eyes trios come in the same packaging as the trios. its def better than it used to be. These come in a square glossy black compact. There is a see thru window so you can see which shadows are inside. its great if you have more than one of these. on the back is labeling/info & also a diagram of how to & where to apply these. most drugstores are doing this now which is great for beginners but dont let it limit you. inside is the shadows. these are pretty easy to open & shut havent had any issues. the shadow are shaped in triangluar pans. all 3 are different sizes which i dont mind since i may use one more than the other. they give you most of the lid color, second most of the brow, & smallest of the defining color which i guess is right in size. The packaging is simple, compact & keeps the shadows safe! simple & it works, cant ask for much more!
Overall, if you havent tried the new Glam Eyes formula of shadows from Rimmel, i suggests you do so! Orion is great for anyone & everyone since we all love a simple trio for no fuss days & Orion is beautiful! Def better than it was before. This trio is reached for often in my day to day makeup routine! I LOVE all the shadows, their great to add to any collection!
-i forgot to add, if you already have Smokey Brun, you probably could skip this & vice versa but i am a neutral shadow lover so i had to have them both of course!
Overall,

I love the colors, very neutral and gives a polish look. not as pigmented as i wanted them to be, but i would repurchase. I dont know why they changed the packaging, it used to give a giant amount of product comparing to the 2nd packaging!

I love this. And this is coming from someone who's tried countless drugstore nude/everyday look palettes. After going through maybelline (chai latte), covergirl (shimmering sands), nyx (nude), revlon (cream quadrant, not just nudes)...etc. ive come back to this palettes.

One main reason I love this is that the colours are not too shimmery, which is a problem ive had with several palettes...shimmer is lovely, but especially for my everyday school look, I don't want to look like I have an eye covered in shimmer. Yuck.
Another reason is that if I us this I only need to reach for this (and my nyx milk jumbo pencil, and eyeliner). This has all the eyeshadow colours I need for quick basic highlighting and contouring. I use the pearl shade to highlight the very middle part, and the corner of my eyes, along with rithtvunder my brow. The medium brown I use for contouring my crease and the rest of my lid. The dark brown I use for my eyebrows and also the edge of my eyes and into the crease a little. That brings me to another thing I like ----the product distribution. With other colours, I'd often find I'd already hit pan with one shade, but have another shade barely touched. But with this trio, the amount for each colour is just right. Also, the shadows are also very blendable...and they don't smudge!! (Keep in mind that I do use base/primer though) They last even through double blocks of gym, hurray!

Now, moving on to my only con... the packaging. I have short nails (for piano) and its kind of gard for me to open the case sometimes...and in my opinion, I find the nyx palettes packaging much more appealling... but for this price, oh well.

All in all, great stuff, will repurchase.

I'm relatively new to eye makeup. I grew up in the 80's and it took me 20 years to get over my eye shadow fears!

I like this little Rimmel compact. The colors are subtle, but they bring out my green eyes well. I use the pinkish one all over my lid, and a little of the brown color in the crease. It's nice for day, not overdone but definitely polished. I appreciate that the shadows are not TOO pigmented; as a newbie I tend to overapply and it's much easier for me to work with buildable colors.

I haven't had any creasing problems. I don't use primer, but I do apply foundation to my eyelids.

This product is my go to everyday eye shadow. This product is not for you if you're looking for the "wow" effect or the amazingly luxurious shadow. However, it's great value for the everyday neutral look for work or for the weekend. It's 3 perfectly harmonious neutral colours in a small easy compact. I am a young professional and I don't want to spend a lot of time on my makeup in the morning, I usually only use 1 or 2 colours. These neutral colours have enough red in it to complement my olive tone skin and the middle colour has a bit of shimmer to transform it into an more glamorous evening look. It's not as creamy as other shadows but it's pigmented enough for a beautiful fresh look. I've been using it for almost a year and I still love it.

I bought this palette mostly for the lovely neutral colors, though I also thought the packaging was elegantly done. At first I wasn't thrilled with these shadows, as the color payoff just wasn't there and I really had to layer on the product for any noticeable result. After I invested in an eyelid primer, however, I noticed a considerable improvement in the performance of these shadows. I was able to apply a soft wash of color for a very pretty and natural result. I use the mid-tone brown color all over the lid, dark brown in the crease, and the highlight along the brow bone as well as a touch in the inner corner of the eye. The effect brightens the eye in a natural, flattering way.

I bought the previous two versions of this eyeshadow and didn't like them. There was nothing wrong with the shadow, it just didn't look good on me. I keep trying new versions because I saw two people have their makeup done with this shadow once and it made a beautiful "sultry" eye as one reviewer called it, below. I could also say it made a good smoky eye without using black. This new Glam'eyes trio looks better on me. I think there is a slightly less purple hint in the brown colors and now it seems to have a hint of gold shimmer. I tried the smoky eye by using the medium color on my lid and a touch of the lightest color in the center of the lid. I used the darkest color in the crease, brushing to the inner corner and also out beyound the outer eye. So, the major shadow is in the crease. It worked well this time. Also, I think this shadow looks good with some version of the pale pink lip. The shadow seems to blend and stay on well. It wouldn't make me give up high end shadows, but it might better for a smoky eye because some high end shadows, in my expereince, go on dark and gritty because there is so much pignment. They are hard to layer on and blend for the smoky effect. This shadow layers and blends well.

I have always avoided Rimmel shadows for in the past I tried them to discover the pigment was awful and not worth the price even though they were cheap. I was looking around Walmart last week and noticed that they upgraded the packaging and now call them Glam Eyes. After reading on some blogs how fab the Glam Eyes singles were I decided to pick up a couple of the trios and a quad to try. Shoot, the trios were only $3.50 and I figured if I hated them, oh well. But I don't!! They are great and I can see this one becoming one of those I grab all the time for it would go with anything. This makes the perfect neutral eye and it's not over the top, just polished and pretty. I used UDPP as a base and experienced no fading or creasing. I highly recommend you give these another try if you had previously written them off as junk for Rimmel has stepped up their game and Bravo!

I got this cause I was oredring some make up online in the UK and this was on sale. Since I love neutrals I grabbed a bargain, not that I need any more eye shadow in the next 10 years....
The first time I tried it I fell in love and I've been using this trio for about a week now. All three colours work great together for me for an eveyday look. I especially like the lid and crease colour. Also I was blown away by the quality, blends great, stays on all day (UDPP underneath, not tried it without). I can imagine I might tire of this and want to use someting else next week (like most of us on MUA I guess), but I do see myself returnig to this. Only thing I might change is maybe use a different hightlight colour. And I'm excited about the size, fits great into my small make up bag.
Overall A+ and would repurchase.

This has very nice complementary colours, perfect for a natural / neutral look. However, they are not very pigmented and hardly show on my lids. And they are very chalky, which can lead to a very annoying application. I would not buy it again, unless it is reformulated.

I like the natural look!! And these are perfect for adding just the right amount of color. The middle shade I use all over lid and the bottom dark brown as a natural lookin eyeliner and the light top color just a dab for the arch in the eyebrow!! Love the price and will def. repurchase.

I just bought this trio at Target today for 3.69. I have blue eyes and a light skin tone. I already have purples and golds for my eyes, but wanted a trio of browns. I really like the effects of this trio. I put the lightest color right below by brow, then cover the entire lid and above the lid with the next deepest shade and then the darkest shade i then again put on my lid until it hits the crease. The look is not dramatic or a night time look, but it is perfect for daytime, which I was looking for, since I can't really wear my deep purple shimmer during the day. It gives me kind of a daytime sultry look if that makes any sense. It is not pigmented as it looks, therefore it does not show up as bright, but again, it is perfect for daytime.
In comparison to other trios at Target, it is on the cheaper side, but still works for me!

I've got the old palette that is mentioned below so its a bit old but i've used the lightest colour down to pan. The colours are beautiful matte neutrals, and they are a huge size. I wouldnt buy this again because they seem to have changed the formula and the size, in reality you could get these neutrals anywhere, so stick to maybelline if you don't like the new formula.
