Ok, after using it for quite some time I think it's time to review this foundation.
In Canada / Wal Mart this goes for about $12.50..or so.

So, bottom line I do not like this foundation.
At first I thought I did..but then the more I used it the more I started to notice how it wasn't working for me..

Now, as always I try my foundations with diff. ways, as in- I use different primer/powders/moisturizers even brushes/or fingers to see if it'll make a difference..or-work better.

So, the first few days when I started using this foundation I liked it, but after a while I noticed I didn't..and here's why:
So when I apply this, right away I notice it starts to go matte, which I like because I'm very oily. The color AT application is perfect(I was using 905 Ivory, neutral pale shade), then within a few mins. it does start to darken and become more pink....but I'v had this problem with another CG foundation so I wasn't too surprised, just disappointed.
Then throughout the day the color get's even darker(starts to oxidize) so the Ivory color turns about 2-3 shades darker on me...which is not good because I'm very, very pale..and my face looked too dark compared to my body.
Also, during application one layer covers redness/unevenness in your skin tone but does not cover deep, dark acne spots/scars so you would need a second layer or concealer.
So, when I went to apply my second layer...even in just those area's I noticed right away the foundation was getting cakey...esp. around the nose area and my cheek's, my jaw..it looked horrible! and again, even with diff. method's of application as well as primers etc..I still saw my foundation appear very cakey..like I'v never seen!
Another problem is you can NOT set this foundation with a powder, at least I wasn't able to..because it created more of a cakey look and for some weird reason when you apply powder on top of this foundation the foundation look's like it's been...rubbed off? or slid down your face..you know what I mean? or disappeared in some areas..I was shocked..I was like wth is going on? I honestly have never had a foundation that I wasn't able to set with a powder..this was beyond bizzare..I was not liking it.
Then by the end of the day...mattifying power was an 8 out of 10. It did control oil but it did make me slightly shiny in some area's like the cheeks/nose/forehead/chin etc..
Now when I say this I mean it in a good way, because upon application of this foundation it's soo matte that it actually look's a little flat on your skin..too matte? so by the end of the day you just look like you have a glow, in a good way, which I liked. It wasn't oily, just glowy. Very different things.

So..overall I am very disappointed in this foundation..I though it was going to be the new Double Wear(before they reformulated it) ..but sadly worse. =(
I'm still waiting for a perfect drugstore foundation..and this is def. not it.

Very disappointed, will not re-purchase again. This is actually worse than Revlon's Nearly Naked which I also hated...but never thought NN would be better than this..:/

I bought this foundation as I was getting fed up paying for high end brands and know some drug store products are just as good. This is a good little foundation. It leaves my mature skin dewy but not greasy. Matte can be so aging so I loved this.Good coverage without looking heavy and super selection of colours.Spf 20. Well yes, but the sunscreen in this (ensulizole) does not protect against UVA , so it is not broad spectrum. Ok you can wear a sunscreen underneath and that is how I will use it up .But I will not repurchase as if a product claims to be broad spectrum I expect it to be just that.Do not rely on this alone for sun protection. Otherwise a good foundation , but still leaves me dissapointed.

I'm a long-time Revlon Colorstay wearer, and had heard this had converted a few people, so I had to try.

Wish I could give this 3.5 stars overall.... I'm on the fence with this foundation so far. I've used it about 5 times, and there are some things I am super excited about, and some things that are really disappointing.

First, the selection of shades available, the price point and the packaging are all fantastic. I love the pump and the glass container. The application of this foundation is so easy -- it seems like glide over my skin and have a dry oil-type texture. It blends so beautifully and has great medium-to full coverage. I only need 1/2 pump to cover my face. All these things, in my opinion, trump Revlon Colorstay.

However, I run into issues when it comes to wear. I've started using a transparent mineral setting powder (just using a cheap one from Maybelline) over the top of this foundation, because even though it feels dry and fully set after a minute or two, I've noticed rapid wear-down in the oily areas on my face (nose, mostly) after just a few hours and the powder seems to help. I do also use blotting papers a few hours in. On the sides of my nose, I notice that the foundation breaks down irregularly, leaving sort of patchy-noticable bits of foundation. I haven't yet tried reapplying the foundation in these areas mid-day. I plan to keep using this foundation and experimenting with different moisturizers underneath, setting powders, etc. to see if I can get better wearing results, because I am so impressed with the application of this foundation.

One thing I didn't notice was any color oxidation, which a lot of other reviewers had experienced. I had chosen a shade (Buff Beige) slightly lighter than my usual foundation shade (though perhaps truer to my actual skin tone).

at 40 I've been blessed with decent skin but I have started getting some slight wrinkles around my eyes and was worried that this foundation might settle in to them making me look older or in the very least my age and was pleasantly surprised when it not only didn't settle into my lines making me look older but actually did the job of the primer and smoothed out the lines and evened out the slight discolorations at my jawline .. a little dab will do your whole face so don't apply heavy handed... it adds a luminosity w/o that horrible sparkle they used to put in makeup for illumination.. when I used to check myself in mirrors during a night out I'd always get disappointed at how dull and tired I thought my skin looked after a few hours but from the time I leave the house to the time I crawl into bed it still looks fresh and bright.. very happy with the foundation and with the price! I feel for the ladies getting the cystic breakouts as I've had other products do the same to me knock on wood this isn't one of them!

I have a love hate relationship with this foundation :(. I bought this product real cheap ($7.49). I think the store i had purchased it from had incorrectly priced it, but anywho i shouldn't complain. the first few days, I LOVED this product. great coverage (even if i bought a shade too light i was able to work with it with a bronzer on the outer perimeter of my face and cheek bones). Easy to blend with a damp beauty blender which made my skin look airbrushed. Oxidized but i didnt mind because it was a tad too light anyways.
My only problem is, after a couple of days i started to break out on my jawline area with somewhat large swells (mosquito bite looking) and have been there for about a week already. I dont normally break out and have been very fortunate during my teenage years. I continue to use it because i really love the coverage. I was hoping my skin is just adjusting to the formulation as this had occured with my Clinique foundation and my skin went back to normal after a month. Another issue i had was that my skin started to get really dry. At this point i just stopped using it. I typically have normal to combination skin but can get quite oily due to the climate where i live. Everytime I look at it, i want to use it but remind myself that it might make my skin worse.

I thought I'd give another Cover Girl foundation a shot. Clean Makeup broke me out.So did this! Comedone city. I really wanted to like this, based on all the glowing reviews.
It didn't blend nearly as well as my L'oreal True Match, and the shade selection is just okay.

I love this foundation! It has a beautiful matte yet natural finish and great coverage! It claims to have the "Lasting power of a primer, the coverage of a concealer, and the blendibility of a foundation" and I couldn't agree more! :D

PROS:
Medium- Full coverage
Has pump
Great color selection
Long lasting even without a primer
Matte finish
SPF 20

CONS:
Have to blend quickly because it dries pretty fast
Does show flakes if you have dry skin
Oxidizes a tad but not a very noticeable difference

Overall, this is the perfect foundation for me, I have it in classic ivory and it matches my body skin color perfectly, but it's a tad darker then my face color, so I find it evens it out. I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin, because its very matte and a tad drying and it does show the flakes, but when my skin is oily in the summer, its perfect and I don't have to touch up with a powder. I also love how it comes with a pump, that's a huge plus in my book! It covers my blemishes and even my huge blackheads on my nose. Love it!

I have been so on the fence about trying this product....but I am thrilled that I did! Here's my experience with it...

It does dry a bit darker, but I did not need to buy two shades lighter, I only bought one shade off of what I would normally purchase and it's been fine. The finish is wonderful. You can tell there is something on your skin, but it feels nowhere near like a face of makeup. I used to religiously use Bare Minerals and it feels lighter than that. It is truly a wonderful feel.

As far as shine control, that is what I was most excited about with this foundation. I did not have to blot my face until 4 hours of wear, which for me is incredible. I typically need to blot within about 45 minutes of putting on a foundation, so 4 hours is insane for me. I could see shine before then, but it was not enough to make me feel gross or super slick looking.

I have to say the coverage is far more sheer than I was expecting, but I love everything else about it so I'll work with it. It's a medium coverage foundation and you can build it...and it blends wonderfully. Since summer is coming up and I'll be bronzing more anyway, I think the lighter coverage is great.

My recommendation, if you are considering this, would be to give this a shot. I have stayed away from Cover Girl foundations for years (I haven't purchased one since high school when I knew no better) and I am so, so glad I have found this formulation!

Edit: I have now been using this daily for about a week and I just find that I become more and more in love with it! It has phenomenal staying power even as the weather here is warming up (it'll be 80 today) without melting down. I honestly want to go buy a lifetime supply. I have used everything from Smashbox to Neutrogena, Bare Minerals and NARS. I used to buy an old Chanel formula as well and I have honestly never loved everything about a foundation THIS much.

I love this!! This makeup covers like a concealer, but looks so wonderful - like you may not have makeup on (wink). I have small brown discolorations on my cheeks near my nose, and this covered so well that I could not tell exactly where they were. Of course, I used a moisturizer under this, in this case Avon Damatic Firming Cream.
I love the pump, too. Try this and see. It just takes a bit, so this should last you for a while.

Just started wearing this and I am impressed! I have red blotchiness in my t-zone, dry forehead and nose, and am always looking to cover that up. I applied moisturizer just in my dry areas, then a kabuki brush to apply this foundation, followed by coty airspun as a finishing powder. Great coverage, I'm halfway through the day and looking good. No shine, no weird color, no wear so far! I'll update again at the end of the week

I'm an EL Double Wear and L'Oreal wearer. I have used the CG & Olay Tone Rehab and was looking for that again at my local Target and came across this. Decided to give it a try at $9.49. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy with my purchase because I am! It's nice to get a product with both a primer and concealer; It goes on a bit thick but nice that the cap has a lock on it. I'm a pump fan forever now. Not totally a CG convert but impressed with this and their Olay Tone Rehab. Still love EL Double Wear but glad that I didn't have to pay the $30 price. I'd buy it again for sure unless they change the formula.

Overall I think it was good. It was a little orangey, and even the lightest colour was a little too dark for my skin. However I fell like it gave me good coverage, my skin looked really even after I applied it. I don't think the coverage was perfect, and maybe if I had more spots or acne it wouldn't be as good of coverage, however I did appreciate that my freckles weren't completely covered and my skin looked natural. It did seem to make the skin on my nose a little dry, but that may have been the applicator I used. However it was easy to use, and I felt really natural and comfortable with it on.

Great coverage, easy blending, long lasting, and great packaging. Overall this makeup is great! Kind of reminds me of the old CG outlast with separate primer, that they discontinued; the only thing is it broke me out, so 1 lippie off for that. The reason I know is because my skin was clear and I started getting pimples in areas where I hardly breakout, which are my cheeks. I stopped using it as of this past Friday because I don't normally where makeup on the weekend and my skin started clearing up, that's how I know it is this makeup. Other than that, it is a great product if it doesn't break you out. For reference I am an NC30 in MAC and I found that the Nude Beige matches me pretty well. Most people here and on youtube who've tried this makeup and are also NC30 say that Medium Beige is a good match. However, if your skin color is like mine, which is a hint of yellow undertones but more beige, then go for Nude Beige because Medium Beige is a bit too dark. Medium Beige is for girls who have a lot of yellow undertone, more tan than light, but still fall in NC30 range.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE OUTLAST 2-IN-1 FROM THE COVER GIRL QUEEN COLLECTION. (LOOONG REVIEW!)
Absolutely fantastic!! I've been wearing this foundation for a little over 6 weeks and am so happy with both the coverage and the finish.

First, it was such a wonderful change to have a full range of colors specifically targeted to women of color to choose from at the store. Just as the regular line has 12 shades, the Queen Collection line also has 12 shades from which to choose your best color match.

I purchased 5 shades (I'll break down the variances below) and have worn all of them alone and mixed together.

The coverage is medium, buildable to full. It comes in a glass jar with a pump dispenser (yea!) and one pump is enough for a smooth looking complexion. 2 pumps give me a flawless finish. This foundation dries to a true matte finish and after 4 hours of wear with NO PRIMER OR POWDER, I still do not have shine to touch up! Let me repeat, 4 hours with NO PRIMER OR POWDER on top and I'm still looking like I just left the house!

This has been huge for me because I really don't like to wear a ton of product on my face. When it gets warmer and more humid, I'll probably just need to wear a dash of primer only on my nose with a light dusting of powder on top. This stuff is that good!

I've had no adverse reactions, it applies smoothly and once dry it doesn't transfer! If I apply 2 coats, I don't need to wear concealer. This really does provide great coverage for minor shadows or blemishes. I have worn concealer on top for days I've had darker spots or circles and every brand of concealer I have worn blends seamlessly with this foundation.

I bought this in Spicy Brown, Almond Glow, Golden Honey, Warm Caramel and Soft Copper. If you line these up and only go by the color in the bottle you may think you have bought the same color. But Cover Girl really did a great job at addressing the minute variances in the undertones for women of color.

Spicy Brown is a gorgeous, rich, true brown that is a touch dark for me now, but will be my color for the summer.

Almond Glow and Golden Honey look identical in the jar, but Almond Glow is just a touch darker. These two have warm notes to them.

Warm Caramel and Soft Copper look identical in the jar, but Warm Caramel is a touch darker thank Soft Copper. These two have cool note to them.

So, Almond Glow and Warm Caramel are identical in color but the undertones are distinctly different. Warm and Cool. Same story with Golden Honey and Soft Copper. Colors are identical, but undertones are warm and cool.

Spicy Brown has a warm undertone (more olive/orange than yellow/red).

I have given my daughter Soft Copper and Golden Honey to play with. Once you figure out the best color for your skin tone I recommend keeping one cool and one warm to mix and match to your complexion if needed. I find that Almond Glow is the color that matches me the best overall. I grab it more than any of the others (at least during the winter).

When I mix this with my moisturizer and wear this as a lighter coverage you absolutely cannot tell that I'm wearing any thing. Even in the full sun. You will see some slight dark marks or circles, but they are blurred and overall it just looks like I have great skin.

I truly hope that this line gets the support it deserves. You can find it on sale and use coupons to get a great deal on these. I bought my five bottles online and only paid approx. $36 for all 5 bottles after sales and coupons (and free shipping!).

BTW....I still really love my Revlon Colorstay foundation. I really only tried this one to review for a friend, and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this foundation. I think that the Cover Girl (Queen Collection) offers more shade choices for those women who have not been able to find a perfect match in the Colorstay line. I have to mix two colors in Revlon to get my perfect match....I don't mind, but still......Amber Glow in the Queen Collection is already a perfect match for me and I don't think I'll need to mix the Spicy Brown with any other color once my complexion gets darker over the summer.

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. I bought it yesterday, and I've used it twice. I got the shade "nude beige" and it matches my skin tone pretty well. However, I don't quite care for the coverage I get from this, as I don't think it's enough. I put it on over a primer and blended it with a beauty blender, and it looked pretty good - airbrushed almost, but I wouldn't necessarily say that it gave me full coverage. I do like the packaging, and it's nice to see that Cover Girl finally came out with a pump style bottle. My skin is pretty oily, and usually looks shiny after three to four hours of application, but this stuff has done a pretty good at keeping my oiliness at bay. I guess I'm going to have to keep using it before I can discover my true feelings.

Initially, I really liked this foundation. Loved the pump and the consistency and the fact it didn't have that "medicinal" smell that most CG foundations have. I bought Soft Honey which is a perfect match for my nw30 complexion. But sadly, at the end of the day it oxidizes and turns orange on me! Even with a primer on! Too bad because this foundation has so many great qualities (packaging, texture, odor-free and spf 20).

Pretty decent. If you have dry skin, this isn't for you. I think this works very well with oily skin. Any dry patches will be emphasized. I got classic ivory & thinks it matches pretty well. I gave a 4 because I wished one coat would cover red a little better. It has a pump which is a plus. So that added one point. I paid about $13 at Walgreens.

Tried this product and it's pretty good, a bit heavy & a little goes a long way! I could see mixing a dab of moisturizer into it with application, because it is very matte, But it has excellent coverage and shine control...stayed put all day....so not too shabby for CG. As for color, I always mix them, I buy 2 different shades, no matter the brand (it's worth it to lay out a little extra scratch to achieve a better match to skin tone!)...We do not only come in 10 or 15 shades!...:)
