This mascara is great! It does a great job at lengthening and separating my tiny lashes. It holds its curl all day too. It gets clumpy after about two coats, but what mascara doesn't? I really like the plastic bristles, as I feel like it actually grabs on to my lashes and coats them with product. The tiny applicator is also great for using this on your lower lashes. The packaging is cool too! I love this, and for only $7, I'd definitely purchase again.

The only reason I gave this a four and not a five is because I feel the wand is a little flimsy. But the mascara itself is the best lengthening formula I have ever used, and since I don't care much for volumizing formulas (they all tend to smudge on me) I can see this mascara being my HG for the foreseeable future.

I have this mascara in the waterproof version. It's alright. This mascara has a plastic bristle that lengthens and separates your lashes. One thing I didn't like is the brush. The bristles were so fine and so close to each other that I felt it was hard for them to cling on to my lashes. So whenever I use this, I take my time to make sure each lash gets coated. Keeps curl all day and doesn't flake. Removal is a bitch!!! I need to double cleanse whenever I use this mascara (Sonia kashuk eye makeup remover + Ponds cold cream). I realize that the waterproof mascaras from l'oreal are so hard to take off!! I will use up the tube but I will not repurchase.

- no smudging to under the eye
- rubber brush that grab every eyelash without clumping
- easy removal with makeup remover
- does not damage lashes
- very black
- pricey for drugstore
- not volumizing
- bulky packaging
I am sort of indifferent about this mascara where I like it because it does not transfer to under the eye and it does make my eyelashes look amazing but I've seen better. My lashes itself is ok long so the mascara does play that up a little bit but it does nothing in terms of volume in my opinion. It is a good mascara for work because you will not end up with panda eyes.

Bought this because I can no longer find my holy grail carbon black telescopic ( is this being phased out?). This mascara doesn't flake on me like others have said, but it does smudge if I use it on bottom lashes. Formula seems dryer than the carbon black and it just lacks the same bold pigment that I prefer. Lengthens and separates just fine. I would repurchase because the wand is so spectacular, but the actual formula doesn't wow me.

I never knew how hard it was to find a good mascara until i decided not to settle for less. It isn't a dire situation for me to find the perfect one right away, I'm having fun trying out the drug store mascaras until I make it to the big leagues (high end) I have this mascara that comes in the coral lettering. It didn't flake, it clumps but I think it depends on how you apply it. The formula is very thick and can't hold a curl to save its life. I wouldn't buy it again but I'm fine with serving the rest of my jail sentence with it til it runs out.

At first I hated this and was going to return it, but then I gave it a second chance and applied it a different way. The first time i wiggled it from base to tip, this did not work! My lashes clumped together and looked funny. The second time I swiped the brush through my lashes NO WIGGLING and that worked really well! I need to use it more though to see if I will buy it again once I run out.

Brush didn't really do it for me, I find that after application I need to brush through my lashes to create more separation. Gives good length though, just too spidery. The formula is fine, doesn't take too long to dry or anything and the waterproof formula holds up really well. I just go for extremely separated lashes more than anything else and this didn't meet the cut. After I have used this tube up, won't repurchase.

I have super long lashes and I'm super picky with mascara but this is probably the best drugstore mascara. It washes off easily and easy to apply, the texture is good as well, not to wet but not to dry, the only thing that I noticed was that it kinda started getting flakey towards the end and kinda hurt my eyes. Other than that I loved it!

This mascara has a great formula and brush. The bristles aren't the exact same the while way around so you can adjust if you want more length or more volume depending on what side of the brush you use. I get great length, volume and definition but it's not the easiest mascara I've ever used. I find I have to work with it a bit. It's a great, dark shade and it lasts all day without flaking or smudging.

This mascara gives great length and curl without clumps or flaking! My eyelashes are fairly long to begin with, however. It also washes off clean without the need for eye makeup remover. Will definitely repurchase!

This is of my many mascaras that was created by god himself! Lol. Gives you length & a shit tun of volume. Everytime I wear this out, people think I have fake lashes on; Fun, flirty, stripper lashes :D BUY IT !!!

Shocking ????? YOU BET !!!!! I have never, seriously...never seen a mascara go on like this and leave my lashes THERE!! I say "there" cuz my lashes are basically non-existant. They're light, short, straight and fine. I have tried tons of mascaras, (from Dior to NYX) you know the drill... always on the hunt for something that has got to work for you! Well this did it, my lashes on the 1st swipe, were there, you could see them, they were instantly long & CURLED, which is usually a no-no unless the mascara says specifically for curling. I am sitting here just happy, happy, happy. I put the 2nd coat and that's it, for my puny not-there eyelashes that is all I need to make them "WOW". With other brands I would have had to put like 4-5 coats to even come close to this result. I dunno bout the rest of ya'll (or how it wud work 4 u .... but this has worked for me fantastically, thank you L'Oreal !!! :-) finallyyyyyyy
P.S. I saw someone complain about not being able to get off this mascara (their's was waterproof, mine is not) I had absolutely no problem, simply rubbed my face with soap/water for bout 10 sec and it was gone...completely, and that was the 2 coats that looked great.

I love the regular telescopic and the carbon black formula. This product however, sucks! I was really excited to try it and I thought it would be similar to the other telescopics, but I don't like it at all. It has nowhere near the lengthening power that telescopic Carbon Black does, and it flakes. This mascara is not worth your time or money, especially if you like the lengthening and thickening of the original telescopic. If you don't like a lot of mascara on your lashes, this might be worth it. But then again, that's what Great Lash is for, and is half the price!

I absolutely ADORE this product, and am finding it so hard to believe that other reviewers are hating on it so much! I feel like perhaps there are many of you who may not be using this mascara the right way...the way I use it: do one coat, let dry for about 10 seconds, apply second coat, and so on. i typically use 3-4 coats of this mascara and before i know it, *BOOM* mega false-looking lashes. I have been complimented so many times while wearing this mascara that it's beginning to take the place of my previous HG mascara (L'oreal Voluminous Power Volume 24HR).
For those of you hating on this product, my advice would be to give it a second shot. Curl those lashes and be sure to take your time with application, I promise you will love it!!

Enticed by the commerical and the buy-one-get-one-50%-off promotion at CVS, I got the waterproof version of Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara and the (lovely) Colour Caresse Lipstick.
For the Mascara: the package as a mini telescope is adorable...the formula is not. I've never once, in my whole life, return a cosmetic product so fast. The mascara clumped up at the first sweep and it didn't coat the lashes from the root to the tip. It just saturated at the root and deposited a chunk on the tip (?). Thought that perhaps my lashes have residues from my eye cream, so I took a steamy hot shower and decided to give it one more try... The package said it takes off with soap and water. NO, IT DID NOT. It really is waterproof! I couldn't even take if off with my waterproof makeup remover... I finally took it (and a lot of my lashes) off with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
My second trial wasn't any better. My lashes looked like pine needles (and the skin around my eyes was scrubbed pink like the monkey's butt). I took it right back to CVS and the very nice manager let me returned it.
Conclusion: I won't recommend this mascara to my friends.

Its a wet(not too wet) formula. When you try to coat it on your lashes it becomes clumpy and it just doesn't look attractive at all -_- highly do NOT recommend

Horrible mascara. Did not provide volume or length...only clumps. I do not like any L'oreal mascaras. For some reason I saw this and decided to try it. It was a mistake and a waste of money. I do not recommend this to anyone.

Overall nice mascara. Works well on my lashes- good volume and length, with minimal clumping. I find occasionally if I wear it on very long days (12 hrs+), or if it's hot/humid, I will get some flaking, so 1 lippie off for that. I really love the packaging, very pretty! Overall, unsure if I would purchase again; it is nice, and I will use it up until its gone, but I have so many 'nice' mascaras, so they realllly have to stand out for me to enjoy them enough to repurchase.

The original Telescopic is my HG, so I decided to give this one a try, but it's pretty disappointing. The wand brush is shaped differently, giving different and more clumpy and flaky results, while the packaging is even tackier. Can't really tell if the formulas are the same or not.
Will be sticking with the original (gold) tube.
