I purchased this in Deep and was happy it was a good match for my NC 42-45 skin tone. I love that his comes in an oily skin formulation, since Maybelline's BB cream broke me out terribly. It gives nice sheer coverage; it covers up most of my skins imperfections. I did need to use a bit of concealer on the hyperpigmentation left over from the aforementioned break out. Older smaller marks and the dark circles under my eyes it handled no problem. It holds up for a long time and to me jogging in muggy 80 degree weather.

The only cons for me is that it does settle into fine lines. I have a frown crease on my forehead, and it makes me look like Frankenstein's gal pal. So not attractive. Also the formula is on the thin side and makes for a messy experience coming out of the package.

Still, I'd recommend it to anyone with darker skin looking for some lightweight coverage.

I have to say I absolutely ADORE this BB cream. I have light acne, large pores, and hyperpigmentation from extreme acne during my teen years and I have tried every foundation (mineral, liquid, mousse, etc..) and no foundation has ever made my skin look prettier than this BB cream. Let me also say, Garnier's original BB cream was HORRIBLE, I HATED it. It made me greasy and no coverage and just yuck. This one, however, keeps my face looking fresh for most of the day and has excellent coverage. I think those people who say it doesn't have good coverage and compare it to a tinted moisturizer aren't using enough. Not saying to cake it on (not that I think it'd get cakey anyway) but try using more. Even if your face feels wet at first, it has a lot of alcohol in it and it'll dry quickly and your face will look beautyful! Thank you Garnier for making this! I'll keep buying it as long as its available!!

Bought the light/medium. It is a little light. Only complaint is that I wish they had a medium shade. Do love the coverage it provides (light-lightmedium). Did not make me break out. Stayed matte all day without any powder. I have combination skin and my tzone normally gets oily by mid day. Would recommend.

I suffer from moderate borderline severe acne problem,I have lots of hyper pigmentation spots also. For everyday I feel comfortable just wearing bb cream since it has enough SPF to prevent my dark spots to darken even more and evens out my patchy skin tone.I don't mind the spots showing through. I tried the Lioele beyond the solution bb cream and I enjoyed it during the colder months because its also pretty moisturizing but during the hotter months it was just too much for my oily combo skin and thought I will give this one a try and it was perfect! The formulation is very liquidy and light. If you have dry spots make sure to exfoliate and put extra moisturizer on those dry spots so the bb cream won't cling. Compare to other western bb creams this bb cream coverage is the best,it's buildable light to medium (by 3rd layer). The only complaint i have is the packaging,I wish it has a pump considering its so runny and can get very messy if you're not careful. So far this is my HG for western bb cream and will repurchase it again.

Let me start off by saying that the color Light/Medium worked perfect for my Combo/Oily, MAC NW20 ish skin (I say "ish" because I use a concealer that matches my facial skin, but usually a foundation that is a shade or two darker so my face will match my body). I've read several negative reviews about this product but I have to say that for what it is, I like it a lot more then I expected to! I have seen that most people who are unhappy with this "BB" complain either about it not controlling oil well enough, or that the coverage wasn't full enough. I am really happy with this product for MY skin, it seems to work quite well for me. I treat this "BB" as a light foundation and use it in conjunction with my other everyday makeup products....

First, I ALWAYS lightly prime my face.
Then I spot conceal with my HG concealer: MAC Pro Longwear in NW20.
Next I apply this "BB" with a flat top brush (usually my Sedona Lace one).
Finally I set only my T-Zone using Rimmel Stay Matte.
Contour/Blush/Highlight as usual.
Last I ALWAYS use a setting spray (Currently using De Slick by Urban Decay).

My skin looks even, fresh and glowy without being cakey OR shiny. I tend to get oily on my nose first, then my forehead with ANY foundation. This is no different, definitely no "worse". Even though my skin can get pretty oily (plus I live in Hawaii) I've never been one to powder my face throughout the day, as to avoid getting that cakey look and/or feeling. I ALWAYS carry Clean & Clear oil absorbing sheets to remove the oil. I usually blot about 3.5 hours into the day, then I'm good to go!

Overall, I love how this performs on my skin. I honestly didn't expect to like this so much. I'm SOOOOOO glad that I picked this up! It is a little runny, but covers good for me when used in conjunction with my concealer. My main skin issue is unevenness and a few blemishes here and there. I don't think this would be ideal for someone who has very problematic skin. My only complaint is that I wish this was in a different package. Something with a pump is always nice! The price was mediocre... $13 for me at Target (probably because I live in Hawaii) but I saw this for as much as $16 in Longs! Look around for the best price because I would definitely recommend this product!

This BB cream is a lot more fluid than most BB creams I've tried; it's definitely not a cream texture. Because it is so watery the application can get a little sloppy especially when squeezing it out of the bottle. I agree with the previous reviewer that it has a coverage between a foundation and a tinted moisturizer, which can be either a good or bad thing. It has to be applied and worked very quickly because it dries really fast. It smells a little like alcohol so that could explain why it dries so fast. I got the oily skin formula even though I have dry skin because I live in Miami and I don't need any additional moisture on my skin. I can definitely use this over the summer but I don't think I'd be able to take the dry-powdery feeling during the winters.

Pleasantly surprised by this!! The original formula did not work well on me, most likely because it was not aimed for oily skin and I am oily. This gives a little hydration, which now in the hotter weather, I don't need an additional moisturizer. In the winter, I would use a separate moisturizer. It gives more coverage than a tinted moisturizer but not full coverage like a foundation. I still need to use concealer over it and top it with powder. It does have a slight sunscreen smell but it fades once you are done applying. Very happy with it so far!!

A while ago I tried Acne.org's BP treatment lotion and it wreaked havoc on my skin--as did some travel. My skin was clearing up but not quite fast enough, so I thought I'd try out this whole BB thing. I have Garnier's similar under eye concealer and I love it, so I thought I'd try their oily skin version of the BB cream.

It's very light, spread easily, and covers FLAWLESSLY. I looked airbrushed. And I think it lasted without getting too shiny during the day. Tragically, it also made my face break out. Badly. In the kind of hard, painful bumps that I haven't experienced in years (my acne is moderate, just 5-10 pimples constantly in a state of turnover, some post-acne redness, but mostly smooth).

Now I am trying to get my face back together, sampling other BB creams. Probably I should just go back to only using my Origins powder, but as of now my cheeks, temples, nose, and forehead areas are still pretty traumatized and I wanna cover it up! So anyways...this product could work for you if your skin is not acnegenic/sensitive. But if your skin is high maintenance like mine, DO NOT BUY THIS!

Like others here, I was reluctant to try the over-hyped BB creams. "Isn't it just tinted moisturizer?" I wondered. The matte feature, though, wooed me. I just don't think I look good with a shiny face, even if you use "gleaming," "glowing" or some other euphemism. Women have powdered their noses for centuries and there's a reason for that.

Oh, happy day! It slides right on with a perfect matte finish -- not dull or powdery. As others have said, it offers excellent coverage on casual days. More formal occasions of course will require full-coverage foundation.

I have been using this for two weeks now and have to say I do like this product. It's got just enough coverage for me so that I am not desperately in need of concealer and it makes my pores look less noticeable. I just bought it in the medium deep shade because the light medium shade was a bit too pale. With the mix of the two I hope to get the optimal color. I got this for $11.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond. It's not terribly cheap but you do get a large bottle, 2.0 ounces, which is twice as large as your typical foundation.

It is very matte so be sure to use another moisturizer if your skin isn't oily.

I remember the horrible reviews the first release received and the lack of decent coloring was not up to par either. Well, when I found out they released a version for oil/combo skin I snagged a tube at Walgreens. I had a $3 off coupon so if it was a complete wash I wouldn't be out of a ton of money. To my surprise I was impressed with the results. No fragrance to speak of and it gave a nice matte finish without feeling tight on my skin. Plus, the shade deep was a perfect match. I've been using it for several months now and it has worked well with my Hourglass powders and my Bobbi Brown retouching powders. No turning into a pumpkin (no oxidizing) and it survives the climbing Florida temperatures as we head into summer. Overall very impressed with this goodie and I actually reach for it more than my Bobbi Brown and Smashbox BB creams.

Let me put it this way for all of us who are combination/oily skin....this stuff is awesome. It's as light feeling as a tinted moisturizer, medium coverage, and it stays put....period. I've been wearing it for 2 days now in an office wear the ac is not working, constantly moving, and it's 86 north carolina weather outside....and it hasn't runned, become icky, felt thick. For me atleast, it's working really well.

Couple of notes: It flows out of the tube easily (really easily) and thin. So be careful squeezing the tube, and be careful in that it really doesn't take that much.

I never owned a BB cream because I tend to become almost instantly sick to death of trends and fads. So after being surrounded by the unrelenting BB cream hysteria for so long, I've gotten to the point where I don't even want to hear the bloody things mentioned. And now we have CC creams. Can't wait for the DD installment (rolleye). Out of curiosity, I tried a few samples of different brands at Sephora and hated them all: too greasy, too sheer, absurd shades, and just to add insult to injury, ridiculously expensive.

I was at Walgreens on Saturday, and a lady was doing some sort of promotion about different products suitable for the coming season. One of her suggestions for oily skinks was Garnier's BB cream (for oily skins, of course). I told her about my BB cream phobia and she spread a bit of this on my hand. Looked pretty good. Decent coverage and all that. Anyway, being the product junkie I am, I finally gave in and decided to give it a try, with every intention of returning it if I didn't like it.

Well, surprise, surprise. I did like it. As I said, very nice coverage - unless you have really bad acne, or dark scarring, or things like that - lovely satiny finish, stays on well. Light-medium is a very good shade for me. It works better than a good deal of sheer HE "foundations" I could mention (like Bobbi Brown's whole line). It also has SPF. Yes, the consistency is runny. So you just store it standing upwards and dispense it carefully and you won't have any problems. There. Wasn't that easy?

Of course, for special occasions I will still go to my full-cover fdts. But this is going to be very handy for the coming hot days, when I don't have to go anywhere special and I just want to look polished.

But I'm still sick of the BB cream fad.

I tried Garnier's original BB cream when it first came out, and I hated it - oily, orange, and gross. I was excited when this came out and bought it right away. First of all, the color is much better than the original. I bought Light/medium and it is much lighter than the original in the same color. It has a matte finish and is moisturizing enough to skip a moisturizer if you have oily skin. The two things I don't like about this product is that it transfers easily and that it is so thin it comes pouring out of the tube as soon as you take the cap off. Overall a great product.

My first impression on this bb cream is that it truly looks like skin but better. I am one of those people that needs to look at many reviews before I buy something in order to justify my purchase and this seemed to cater to my needs much more than any other product did. I was looking for something lightweight during the summer months, that I could literally slap on for my no-makeup days and a little more coverage than a tinted moisturizer that with my oily skin would just basically come off my face within an hour. As I put it on I noticed how freaking well this matched my skin tone (shade Medium/Dark), which is likely just luck of the draw since this comes in about 4 or 5 shades I believe. However, for a bb cream this is much more than I have seen in any good asian brands so it's also a plus depending on how you look at it. This really looks like I'm wearing nothing, it has a matte finish, but a natural matte finish. As well this is really buildable. I was expecting that once I layered it on certain problem areas that the coverage would sheer out or it would look cakey on top, but no it didn't. For someone with very bad acne, as a former sufferer I can say this can still work but a concealer will most likely be needed. It's not like my colorstay or covergirl stay fabulous that as well has an amazing matte finish, but it looks a little more "done up". It feels so lightweight, as if I'm not wearing anything. My issue if I do have an issue with this is staying power which is most of my issues with any face product I own. Nothing just stays on my goshdarned face. The only foundation that not only stays on all day but helps my powders like bronzer and blushes stay on all day is my colorstay, and I haven't tried any setting sprays yet either. Also, I got this on rollback at walmart plus a 2 dollar off coupon so this cost me less than 10 dollars, which is an amazing price for a face product in Canada. The only other bb cream that enticed me was the smashbox one which is too pricey for me to justify getting since it's something I want to just slap on all the time. I will be updating to see how well this lasts as I test it throughout the week. But so far I love this a lot and would repurchase if this lasts well.

Update:
I've been wearing this about 6 hours, and this included going grocery shopping and sleeping. Even sleeping this thing kept my face demimatte. I hope to try this out during a hot day but this is a definite repurchase

Update at the end of the day:
Doesn't last the ENTIRE day, it seems I can get a good 5-6 hours and can reapply later on. It has a place in my collection and I definitely have a great love for it for certain things. :)

I've been using this for about a week, and I'm liking it. I won't be able to use it for long because warm weather is on the way, and this will just slide off my face in the heat. However, I can see me applying this in the morning when I'm in a hurry, versus Colorstay which takes a bit more time. The color appeared to be too yellow (I'm NW 20-25, and I bought Fair/Medium) for me, but it works fine when I apply it. It evens out my skintone, hides some flaws and makes my skin look good. I still have to touch up with concealer, but I have to do that with just about any product. I have to apply powder to set it (I use J&J baby powder) and I have to re-powder a couple of times during the day. Again, that's a given with my oily skin regardless of my foundation/TM/BB cream. What I hate about this product is the packaging. It's a tube that stands on its lid. The product is runny, so you're in for a flood of excess product once you remove the lid, if you're storing it on its lid. It's especially aggravating when applying product. I wedge the tube between foundation bottles in my makeup box so I don't have to keep putting the cap back on while I'm working on different parts of my face. If I lay the tube on its side, product runs out. Other than that, I'l pleased. Will I buy it again? I said yes, but I'm fickle and if something better comes along later, maybe not.

I received the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream from BzzAgent for review. I, like every other cosmetic product junkie, was excited to jump on the BB Cream bandwagon last year when BB creams became popular in the U.S. However, I was very disappointed because the few products that were available in a shade range that catered to African-American skin left me looking like a greaseball after an hour of where.

Much to my pleasant surprise, this product is different. I tried this product in the shade Deep and I really like it! The color is very orange, however it counter-acts the dullness and hyperpigmentation in my skin and leaves my face looking natural and bright. The product has a good amount of coverage and does manage to keep oil at bay for most of the day. I am very impressed and would recommend this product to other women of my complexion. Good job Garnier!

This BB cream is what I use when I am having an oily day. I have combo (mostly oily) skin and when it flares us, this BB Cream is what helps me keep it at bay. It looks good on my skin not at all cakey. The color choices are a little sparse, but I made the Light Medium shade work for me. This item has not made me break out or caused any rashes. It is between a tinted moisturizer and a true bb cream. The coverage hides my uneven skin tone, broken caps, and rosacea. The packaging is the worst though, the cream leaks out of the top when the cap is removed, which can make for a real mess when I want to apply it in multiple swipes. Other than the packaging, I love this BB Cream and I think it is possibly HG (when used with a beauty blender) for ladies with oily skin.

I have used the original Garnier BB cream and liked it but I much prefer this new oil-free formula! I used to be a bit of a make up snob. I went from using Clinique, then Lancome, Clarins, then Estee Lauder, then went down to using Smashbox and Bare Minerals. Then I thought why not try Garnier? I thought if I hated it, at least I only would have spent $15. I was pleasantly surprised by how the original Garnier BB cream worked for me and yay, I love that it is sooo much cheaper than my old brands. I used to have to use Bare Minerals Mineral Veil on top of the original Garnier BB cream to achieve a matte finish. *** Now with this oil-free version, I don't even need my Mineral Veil to set it!!! And I found that sometimes it would go on sale at WalMart for under $13. I got it in light/medium. I am really impressed by how quickly this oil-free BB cream sets to a matte, fresh finish. I love that it is so light and not cakey and it just makes me look well rested and not made up. I dot the product on my forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks then spread (just using my ring finger). It is definitely buildable so if you need more coverage, I recommend that you first dot and spread, then just dot and spread again only on the areas where you need extra coverage. Mind you, if a BB cream doesn't give you enough coverage then just go for a straight foundation right?

With the money I save on this BB cream, I now have more money to spend on my favourite luxe brand lipsticks and more pricey can't-do-without makeup items and skincare! For around $13-$15, this product is definitely worth a try. And hey, if you hate it, then at least you didn't spend big bucks right? I will definitely re-purchase. Vote up if you found this review useful :)
