I have fine straight-ish hair that I've colored. Since my hair is not super dry or thick I put it on for the minimum time. Wow! This is great stuff. My hair was super soft and it did not weigh it down at all or make it oily (I put it on scalp to ends). And I do have oily hair and use dry shampoo every other day.
I didn't notice any bad smell and it did not bother my skin at all.
I like the tub because you have more control of how much product you need, plus you can get all the product out. I don't think it's unsanitary because your hands are clean from washing your hair first.
My hair was completely untangled and when I washed it out I noticed very few stands of hair come out...I usually loose quite a bit in the shower. I made sure to rinse it out completely.
I plan on using this once a week to keep my hair healthy.

I have long S-Curled medium brown hair with all over blonde foil high lights. My hair tends to be dry but it's never been a big problem until recently when the entire back section of my hair started frizzing up. (Due to the coloring I suppose) I was at a loss until I saw this reviewed in a YouTube favorites video.
Since the young woman also had wavy hair, I thought I might try it.
I really love the thickness, I'll sit in the bath after applying it from the ears down and enjoy myself. It leaves hair feeling very silky and does improve the quality of my waves.
It does have a lovely scent and is easy to use even in the shower. I don't mind the tub.

Wonderful! I have very light blonde dry hair which completely feels like its going to fall out everytime I re-color. UNTIL! i used this. now when i color my hair it is like the amonia dye never touched my ends! Miracle in a jar. Yes, the jar sucks. But that just means we can get ALL the product out at the end (No waste! Yay!)

Wasn't sure I would like this product because of the bold claim to "reverse up to one year of damage in one use". I have bleached hair that was strawlike and super damaged. This (in conjunction with other products: 100% coconut oil, moroccanoil shampoo and conditioner and bumble and bumble prep) made my damaged, wrecked hair better. I'd use it as a mask, once a week and leave it in for anywhere from 20 minutes in the bathtub to overnight with a sleep cap on. It smells good, creamy and floral. I have to say, my hair looked and felt better after one use. Did it undo all the damage bleaching did to my hair? No. Did it hurt to try it? No. I would repurchase this mask again, but I'm considering trying another L'Oreal Advanced Haircare mask before I do, maybe the Power Moisture (blue) or the Triple Resist Solution (not a mask but still a treatment). Big fan!

Ok...I bought this product and the macadamia deep repair natural oil mask at the same time to compare the two. Both products are nice and smell very similiar, but in all honesty I prefer this to the more expensive brand. I actually had less hair loss in shower using this product than the other!!! In other words...SAVE YOUR $ and try this!!!

I can't remember the last time I bought drugstore hair products. I've got problem hair - it's longish, dry, fine, dull and highlights which have made it fragile - and I've always felt what was sold in drugstores wouldn't be good enough quality to improve anything. On the other hand...I haven't really found salon products (even the $60+ Kerastase deep conditioners) that offered serious improvement.
Read somewhere about this, saw it in my local CVS and said "whatever." Turned out to be one of the most effective conditioners I've ever tried. Whatever's going on in it, after 4-5 minutes in the shower, this stuff gives me smooth, almost shiny hair and doesn't even require I blow-dry or use additional product. I've been using it for about 2-3 weeks and my hair's only getting better. I'm guessing that L'Oreal, which owns Kerastase (a slight step-above-drugstore brand itself in Europe), decided to up its game in the US with this product line.
A few tips. I wash my hair every 3-4 days and I use this each time. The regular use seems to make the hair better and has not weighed it down. In fact, it has let me get that extra day of non-washing. I shampoo then apply this - about a walnut sized amount - from the middle of my hair (starting around the ears) down to the ends; on the roots would be overkill. I clip it up, then finish showering before washing it out. The tub and lid are a little hard to manage in the shower but not a distraction.
This form asks whether you'd buy this again if you ran out. Answer is: I already have! Bought a back-up since it's a little hard to find at the drugstore (I bought the last container each time) and I just picked up the other L'Oreal deep conditioner recommended in the article I'd read L'Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Power Moisture Rush Mask. If it's half as good, it'll be great.

This is a great product for the price. I have thick heavily highlighted blond hair that can be very unruly. I use this product on days I need my hair to be smooth, shiny and soft. It does not weigh my hair done (not that much could) and it smooths the cuticle so my hair is super shiny. I have noticed if I use it everyday there is a bit of a buildup and it looks a little dull. I just use a clarifying shampoo and a regular conditioner and when I return to this I get the same great results. Definitely worth buying!

Love this product! There is nothing better to me than finding an inexpensive product that performs better than a high end one! Having an oily scalp but color treated, dry ends makes using conditioning treatments a challenge. Some can really weigh your hair down but not this one. So far I use it about once a week, I wash my hair every other day and blow dry it everyday. Since using this treatment I have noticed an improvement with the way the ends of my hair lay. This actually makes them less "fly away", more smooth and manageable. In between uses I am also using the Total Repair 5 conditioner and love it just as much! Highly recommended line for people with damaged hair, it has really made a difference with mine without costing a fortune!

I have straight, frizzy, long hair. I wash my hair every single day even though it's not healthy for your hair since it can dry out a lot faster. I don't blow dry or straighten or do anything with heat on my hair unless it's for a special occasion. I always air dry and use a comb for my hair never a brush cause it can damage it more. I've gone 4 months without a haircut so of course i have dry hair and it's more straw like than damage. I've tried the Aussie 3 minute miracle treatment and it did help on my hair, but I guess after awhile your hair can get use to the product. So i decided to try the L'Oreal total repair 5 damage erasing balm. I've read reviews about it, I've seen people make a video and see how it leaves their hair. I rate this product a 4 out of 5. It left my hair super soft and silky. Now of course it doesn't repair your whole damaged hair but it does help out a lot. It gives you shine and it's more manageable for your hair to style. It's NOT for an every day use, more like a once a week or twice a week use due to the damage of your hair. Over all this is my 2nd favorite deep conditioning treatment along with Aussie 3 minute miracle. My frizz has gone down, my hair doesn't feel straw like. It looks a lot more healthier than what it was before.

I have wavy, frizzy, long, color-treated hair. I have ALWAYS used deep conditioners (masks) in tubs and this one the by far the best I've used. I tried the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, which was alright but after using the entire tub I decided it wasn't that great to buy again. I've also used the L'Oreal Professional Nature Therapy Mega Moisture (from Sally's) in a tub, which was better than the Macadamia but still not awesome enough for me to buy again. So I was at Target and saw this and thought I'd try it. So glad I did! Even after 1 use I was in love. I put it on my hair and use my wide tooth comb and comb it through, then I put my hair up in a clip and keep it there while I shower. When I'm ready to get out, I just rinse my hair. My hair was soft and silky. The tub is a pain, never had that problem with other tubs in the past. The lid is large and hard to twist off and on with wet hands. But other than that I think I have *finally* found my holy grail of conditioners.
