This is an amazing neutral and matte eyeshadow palette. I used to use this to work for a whole year and I love it. The quality is amazing and the color selection is great beauce it is a straight neutral, and you can also get some smokey looks. There are every shade you need to compose a great neutral or smokey look. If you a neutral lover or is looking for a neutral look for work, school...this is for you!

I like to use this eyeshadow palette as a supplement to other palettes I have in my collection. It has really nice matte shades that are pretty creamy instead of chalky. Love that its so small and compact as well, so you can travel with it.

My friend bought this palette for me on my birthday since I am a big fan of urban decay shadows (I own naked 1 and 2). This palette does not disappoint. The pigmentation is smooth and lasts all day with my NYX HD primer underneath (although I believe it's being discontinued, not quite sure). When I first got it, I used to wear it on the daily to work and school but I did stop because I thought most of my looks looked the same. The only con I have with this palette is that the shade "foxy" is terrible to work with. It's chalky and difficult to blend with. Other than that, it's a great neutral palette for everyday and the packaging is sturdy and compact.

I've had this palette for a few years and use it almost everyday for the shade "naked 2". It's a perfect crease shade for me.It's an awesome matte cool light brown with almost a grey undertone. I used to use foxy everyday as a brow highlight, but unfortunately it broke. I haven't hit pan, yet, on naked 2 but there is definitely a dent. I don't really use any of the other shades that much but it's nice to know I have a black, pink and yellowish ivory matte if I needed it for a look. I really wish naked 2 was available in a single so I could purchase it alone when I run out but I honestly love it so much that when i do run out of it, i'll probably buy another full palette just for the one color. I like the color of the packaging and the size is pretty cute, although sometimes I have a hard time finding it in my stash. Also, the clasp SUCKS. I can't even close it all of the way or it will take me 10 minutes to get it open the next time I go to use it.

Again, really good basic eye shadow even though it is not that pigmented. Love to bring this palette while traveling as for me the Naked Palette 1 is too big to bring. Love the lightest color with a bit as shimmer, I often use it as a highlighter.

Love this palette. I resisted buying it for so long, although I've been interested in it for a while. I knew the name said "basics" but just looking at the colors I had no idea how it would produce a put together eye look. However, I finally pulled the trigger and decided to get this with a giftcard I got for Christmas. I figured if nothing else, it would be a good compliment palette to all my other Nakeds (which are lacking in the matte department).
Boy am I happy I did! It's exactly what I was looking for. I have tons of beautiful palettes: both TooFaced Chocolate bars, 3 Naked palettes, Lorac Pro... but I wanted something everyday and subtle that I could wear to work. I like to look put together at work, but very simple and basic.
This palette is PERFECT for that! I could not be more happy with it. I struggled for a while deciding if I should get this or the Naked Basics 2, but I finally decided on the original because it leans more warm toned which I think is more flattering on me. It's awesome as a quick "grab and go" palette for a rushed morning instead of having to plan out a look using a 10-12 pan eyeshadow palette. And every eyeshadow is just gorgeous on! So flattering. In terms of consistency, they are so buttery and pigmented! They go on like a dream, and blend out so beautifully. They honestly remind me of the Lorac eyeshadows.
I originally hesitated buying this palette because it was just that- "basic," and I heard so many reviews about it being very dupable and nothing special. The truth is, if you are looking for a great basics palette that is work appropriate and great for everyday, I highly suggest picking this up!!

Sure, I enjoy beautiful colors and glittery looks, but for everyday, turns out this is exactly what I was looking for. Well worth the money. The pigmentation is great, blendability and formula is great, and it's nice and tiny so it pops right into your makeup bag and is very portable. I took off one lippie for packaging only because it is kind of difficult to open, but that is my ONLY complaint. It pretty much has everything you could need. A black for liner or smoking out an eye look, a shimmery white for inner corner highlight or brow bone, a great brown for deepening the crease, a couple colors that are great for the lid, and a light brownish gray that is PERFECT for an allover crease/transition color.
This palette was intimidating to me at first, because I had no idea what sort of looks it would create based on the colors (which honestly look really dull and boring) but they truly come out so beautifully once applied.
If you are like me and love makeup but want something subtle and professional for your weekday makeup looks, I think this palette is a great investment.

This pallet is sure a must-have. Colors, pigmentation and the application is excellent.
Only if there were more product in one layer in termes of the weight, my only concern is consuming the bright shades fast.

Naked Basic 2 review : I love these eyeshadows because they are not glittery and too much for everyday.I do not like the lightest eyeshadow in the palette,it's not pigmented at all.I expected small eyeshadow brush to go with it,but no.That was a dissapointment for me,because I paid a lot for it in Europe (and it says on the back :pair it with our double ended brush). To sum up,some of these eyeshadows are really nice but the whole palette is REALLY OVERPRICED.

The Naked Basics Palette by Urban Decay is definitely a palette that I consider to be an essential in any makeup enthusiast, or minimalist's collection. The palette comes in sleek packaging which contains 6 shades; Venus, Foxy, Walk of Shame (WOS), Naked 2, Faint, and Crave.

Venus: a neutral shimmery highlight.
Foxy: a matte pale yellow shade.
WOS: is a matte pale pink shade.
Naked 2: light-medium cool brown crease shade.
Faint: neutral medium brown shade.
Crave: shimmery black shade.

Obviously you can use the shades for any purpose, beyond what I listed. I bought this palette one and a half years ago at Sephora for around $32 CAD. In most cases, if you're looking for a stand alone palette with great versatility, this is absolutely not for you. What this palette serves best as is a "sidekick" to other palettes. All of the shades contained in this palette are essentials required for a complete, balanced eyeshadow look. In my experience, many palettes from both drugstore and high end brands are jam packed with gorgeous shades that serve as the focal point of the look which are typically very bright, bold, or shimmery colours. These shades can be crucial to achieving a breathtaking look but matte shades for the crease or lighter shades that help make brighter colours pop can sometimes be forgotten which is where this palette comes into play. The shades in this palette are all very neutral and help to elevate your look. If you want to wear a bright red or bronze shade, you can use Foxy or WOS in between primer and your desired shade to create a pale base to help that colour really make a statement. If you have darker skin, these shades can also serve as a matte highlight for the inner corner, under the brow bone or a little dab in the middle of the eyelid to make the eye look more round and open. For a very fair girl like myself, Foxy and WOS can initially seem like fairly useless shades since they are so close to my skin colour but when paired up with a bit of Naked 2 ran through the crease and some winged eyeliner, the subtle matte look is truly stunning and gives a very feminine pin up girl vibe. You can then add a tiny bit of Faint to the outer "V" to deepen the eye socket for more of a night time look while keeping the look matte. Venus isn't a particularly special shade but it is a nice neutral highlight shade which could complement the original Naked palette quite nicely where both of the highlight shades are pink toned. The only shade in this palette that I'm not a fan of is Crave; the shimmer in the black shade makes it hard to find a use for. I would use it to deeper the outer "V" but with hooded eyes, you typically want to avoid shades that will highlight your crease at all so it becomes a very awkward colour to work with. I think a matte black would have been a much better choice. Overall I think this palette is an excellent purchase. The shades in this palette complete any makeup look (especially when used alongside Urban Decay Naked!) and can provide you with a few fast and chic makeup looks on its own for lighter makeup days. The shades are buttery, highly pigmented and last all day without creasing when you use a primer. Highly recommended!

I like the packaging and this would be a great travelling pallete if the eyeshadows all performed well. However I mostly use the last 2 shades and I find the first 3 shades to be quite chalky and not very long lasting. I wouldn't repurchase however I would buy the last 2 shades if they were sold individually
