I literally have nothing negative to say about this palette. It is a staple in my makeup collection, and I can't believe I survived as long as I did without it. The shadows are literally like butter. So smooth and sooo pigmented. I love the fact that you get 8 matte shades and 8 shades with some sort of sheen. I'm a huge fan of matte shadows, and I love when you get to see more of them in palettes. This palette is unique in it's own way, and $42 for 16 high quality shadows is a steal! The Naked palettes cost $50 and you get 12 shades. So they are $8 more, and you get four less shades. LORAC is awesome! I also picked up their "Mint Edition" palette (the Ulta version) and it is amazing as well.

Love love love! This is my new go-to palette. I own a TON of eyeshadow palettes, and the Lorac Pro palette is a rare gem. The colors are so buttery smooth, rich, and pigmented. Just the tiniest dab of product goes a long way, and the colors blend effortlessly. I must confess that I am an eyeshadow hoarder, but I can easily see myself hitting the pan on a few of these shades (which has yet to happen!). I know upon first glance it may appear to be just another "neutral palette". But this is far more than that. The range and depth of colors is unrivaled. The darker colors are rich, intense, and a dream to work with. Unlike the Naked palettes, these shades sit better with my skin tone (warm/medium) and look classier. It is more balanced in that there are 8 mattes and 8 shimmers, and the nice thing about the shimmers in this palette is that they are softer, and give of a wet, "dewy" look (as many shimmer shades can tend to look more metallic). Additionally, this palette is extremely versatile: from day looks to night looks, from professional to edgy/glam. The only downside is that the palette casing itself gets dirty easily and although there's 16 shades, the amount of product per pan isn't a whole lot. But overall, I love this palette, and Lorac has once again proved not to disappoint!

Yes this was hyped on YouTube. Yes I bought it. Don't judge me!
I actually enjoy this palette simply because I don't go out of my comfort range very often when I do my makeup in the morning, but it has a few colors that stand out. The deep eggplant and rust color are very pretty and unexpected.

Some people are complaining about powdery. Yes, it is powdery. It is also pigmented. But this does not equate to fall out. Use a light touch, pat and don't fluff, and you should be fine. A great mix of mattes and shimmers, but why should that matter when I bought the too faced matte palette along with this....sigh. Issues.

I think this is a great option for weirdos who like putting on eyeshadow in a public bathroom in the middle of the day (portable, lightweight, big choice of colors) or those who can only pack one palette to travel with. I don't like how the cover attracts dust and fingerprints but its no big deal.

For the price, you should get the naked 1 palette. But then, you don't get those few select colors that make this one unique. I wouldn't repurchase, but its as good of a palette as naked one and I dare say much more pigmented and stands out on the eye more.

I hate being THAT GIRL, that one reviewer that has to blow a highly rated and raved about product out of the water with a low ranking. I already understand that I'm in the tiny minority of people who dislike this palette, but I'm hoping that anyone with similarly sensitive eyes/skin like me might find this useful. So ladies who find themselves allergic to all the things, this is for you!

I fell in love with the LORAC PRO Palette the second I swatched it at Sephora. The shadows felt buttery and gorgeous, and the pigmentation was super high. I'd already been using their Behind the Scenes Eye Primer for 6 months, and I was very curious to try more products from this brand. Every Sephora and Ulta near me was OOS when it came to this palette, which only made me that much more desperate to get my hands on it! I placed a rush order for 2 of these babies - one for me, and one for my mom, who had told me she was in need of some matte eyeshadows and a few purple-y shades. The PRO palette had both of those and more.

The first day I tried this, I was amazed by just how high the pigmentation was! I barely needed to dab at each shadow to get a ton of product. What LORAC did well here is noteworthy:

-- Listening to consumers about wanting a palette that offers true versatility. PRO is full of mattes and shimmers, highlighters and crease shades, neutrals and jewel tones, and of course most any color could be used either as a "one and done" wash or applied wet as a liner. I appreciate that LORAC offers something that could truly be an everyday/perfect travel palette, especially for cool-toned and fair girls. (The Naked palettes have always been too muddy, too shimmery, and too lacking in variety for my coloring and tastes.)

-- They offered a decent amount of product per pan, and the mini tube of BtS was just right for the price point. (For reference, my full-sized tube is slightly less than half full after half a year's use!)

-- The formula is long-lasting, easily blended, and the colors are true to pan.

However, the "soothing botanicals" (as noted by Sephora, a detail I saw after the fact) triggered an AWFUL reaction for me. I'm VERY allergic to plant-based ingredients. The online store I ordered from (Blush.com) did not mention this detail, but I feel stupid for not doing better research! In my own defense, I've never come across powder shadows that contain botanicals before, and in fact, powder eyeshadows are the one product that I've never had an issue with... until now. :(

The first day I used these, I wore them for about three hours before looking in the mirror and realizing that both my eyes looked bloodshot. They were itchy and my contacts felt foggy. I removed my lenses, stripped my entire face of makeup, and within an hour the redness subsided. The following day, the inner corner of my left eye turned a scary shade of bright red within about 20 minutes of applying the shadows in a smoky, smudgy eye look. Again, I removed everything and added some eye drops, and the problem cleared within another hour. I realized I was probably reacting to the powders, but because I'd started to fall in love with this palette, I stubbornly gave it one more try, doing a no-makeup makeup look with them the next day. BOOM. Same issue once again.

Worst of all, I had to double wash all the brushes I used with this palette. I realized that the spot cleaning I do wasn't enough to get all the powdery residue out of some of the hairs, meaning I wound up irritating my eyes again after I put the palette aside. However, once everything was properly cleaned and the palette had been taken far away from my stash, I never had another breakout. I know these eyeshadows were responsible, because again, I've used the BtS primer before, and I wasn't using any other new products at the time.

I was genuinely heartbroken about having to return the PRO palette after three days of receiving it. Nearly all of the colors worked for my NW15 skin and green eyes. I especially adored Mauve (matte cool rose-purple), Espresso (matte cool deep brown), Champagne (sparkly, gorgeous nude highlighter), Garnet (shimmery red-based gold with a slight duochrome quality), and Deep Purple (shimmery blue-based royal purple). I'm trying to find dupes for all of these shades right now.

This product received 2 stars because if I hadn't had an allergic reaction, my score would have easily been a 5. I still think the price is right for the product you receive, the versatility is wonderful, and the eye primer is a true winner. Also, my mother is crazy for her own PRO palette - she hasn't had a single issue and she gets compliments on it constantly. But for anyone who has sensitivity issues, particularly when it comes to plant-based ingredients, proceed with caution!

This is a great palette. I would prefer to have gotten the unzipped palette though. My favorite eyeshadow from this palette is hands down deep purple. The texture of these shadows are unlike any other eyeshadows ive used. They are almost like cream shadows but not exactly. They are very buttery. This palette always can add a pop of color to any look :) I just wish it had a blue color in there, oh welll.

I received this as a birthday gift after wanting it badly since it came out. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

It's a slim, long palette. It takes up less space than either one of the NAKED palettes. It gets dirty somewhat easily, but it's easy to wipe down compared to the messy clingy velvet of NAKED and it looks classier than the cheap, bulky packaging of NAKED2. It has more variety and costs less. You don't get as much product per shadow...but honestly, NAKED and NAKED2 have garbage colors and not enough variety, so it's not even an issue. I say, quality over quantity! Yes, UD shadows are good, but this palette is superior in every way.

I would rate the current long, slim nude palettes on the market like this: LORAC Pro, TheBalm Nude Tude, Naked, Naked2, Naked Basics.

Why LORAC is better:
16 shades! So much variety!

The color selection was obviously really thought out. I love that they included as many mattes as they did shimmers.

I can see myself hitting pan on a lot of these.

FOUR DANG HIGHLIGHTER SHADES! i use highlights a lot. having four very light shades is a tremendous help.

Seems like it would be very easy to travel with. If I lost all of my eyeshadow, this would be my go-to palette to purchase.

The quality can't be beat. Anyone can have professional looking makeup with this palette.

Now I'm going to go over the colours. :)

1. is a White shade. It's in the mattes row, but it seems to have a few bits of satin shimmer here and there so it's not an overly flat or chalky matte white. This may irritate some, but for me, it's big help. This does great at brightening my inner eye.

2. is Cream, a light skintone shade in the same family as MAC blanc type or brule. This is a true matte. There is a big ol' dip in mine :)

3. Taupe doesn't seem very taupe to me! It seems more like a midtone camel shade like MAC wedge, although less warm. NARS blondie might also be close to it. Or UD Buck.

4. Lt. Pink is a light, pale baby pink. It seems somewhat neutral-cool.

5. Mauve is a nice name for this shade. It seems to be in the same family as MAC haux or quarry, if i'm not mistaken. This is like Taupe but cooler and pinker.

6. Sable is a great darker brown. It seems to have red or warmish tones in the pan.

7. Espresso is a deeper brown, deeper than Sable, as well as less warm toned.

8. Black is....a great matte black! I really like it a lot. One of the better blacks in my stash. A pleasure to use.

Now we're getting into the shimmers and frosts.

9. Is Nude, a wonderful and VERY helpful shimmery skintone highlighter shade, perfect for bringing light to an area of your eye.

10. Champagne is a bit similar to nude, although less bright. It seems more appropriate to use as a lid color than Nude. It has a few bits of glitter here and there. Yeah, it gives me fallout, but no biggie.

11. Gold is VERY soft in texture. It reminds me a bit of UD's Half Baked. It seems more of a darker, more orangey gold compared to the traditional yellow gold.

12. Lt. Bronze is a warm peachy somewhat champagney standard lid color. Really nice.

13. Pewter reminds me a bit of Satin Taupe! It seems like more of a taupe than the shade Taupe ;)

14. Garnet's a red-toned bronzey shade.

15. Deep purple looks like a blackish base with a lot of pretty purple shimmers. I'm glad this was included. It's a nice alternative to Black.

16. Slate reminds me of UD's Gunmetal. It seems to have bluish shimmers in.

My favorite shades in this palette are White, Taupe, Mauve, Sable, Nude, Lt. Bronze and Garnet.

My least favorite shades are Champagne, Gold, Slate.


My favorite combos for this palette:
Taupe, Sable and Espresso
Lt. Pink, Mauve and Deep Purple
Lt. Bronze, Garnet, Deep Purple
Garnet, Sable, Black

I don't like gold or slate, so I mix them together to tone down the orange of the gold, and warm up the blue tones in slate. Makes a nice shimmery brown bronze or something more taupey. Hope this helps.

This palette is beautiful! It has been my go-to palette everyday. I got this one, the Naked Basic and Two Faced Return of Sexy the same day and this one has by far been used more than the other two. The blend ability of it is amazing. The colors go on beautifully and are perfect for an everyday look. There are colors in it that would make a great night time look too. It was my first LORAC palette but I'm anxious to get more, if they are all this awesome! If you are debating whether or not to buy it...DO!!

The LORAC PRO Palette is a versatile mostly neutral palette. It contains 16 shades, 8 of which are matte (top row), and 8 of which are shimmery (bottom row). It also comes with a travel-sized Behind the Scenes Primer.
The shades are as following, from left to right, top to bottom:
White: Matte white
Cream: Matte ivory with pink undertones
Taupe: Matte neutral medium brown
Lt. Pink: Matte light pink
Mauve: Matte medium taupe with pink undertones
Sable: Matte warm chocolate brown
Espresso: Matte dark chocolate brown
Black: Matte black
Nude: Shimmery light champagne
Champagne: Shimmery light champagne with pinker undertones than Nude
Gold: Shimmery gold
Lt. Bronze: Shimmery medium graham cracker brown
Pewter: Shimmery warm taupe
Garnet: Shimmery warm brown with red undertones
Deep Purple: Shimmery blackened eggplant
Slate: Shimmery dark gray with blue undertones
With good pigmentation and no fall-out or creasing, the quality and formula of these eyeshadows are excellent, but the shades are underwhelming and nothing spectacular. I understand that neutrals will be neutrals, but neutral doesn't always equal boring. I think LORAC could've done much better with the shade selection.
But because this is my opinion and it doesn't effect the quality of the palette itself, I'm not going to lower the rating for this particular aspect.
The Behind the Scenes Primer is good. It definintely does the job--and it does it well, at that--but I still prefer my Urban Decay Primer Potion.
PRO is housed in a typical palette with a mirror. It's very travel-friendly and not fragile at all.
Retailing at $42, it's a good deal. Unfortunately, because I'm so unimpressed with the shades, I'm not going to be touching this palette very often (I might swap it away), but I recommend it if you think you'll use at least most of these shades frequently as the price is very reasonable.
Would I repurchase? No.

I thought this would have more reviews, but people are still stuck on those Naked palettes I suppose. I have a few of those and end up never using them, and the new matte palette has too many light shades with no mid tones. On to the Lorac Pro review...I waited several months to buy it to see if it was a flash in the pan or a solid purchase. This is not a neutral palette, but all of the shades are flattering and wearable. More than a few of these shades are unique, such as the Mauve, Garnet, Pewter, and Dark Purple. The mattes are soft focus and not as dry as some brands, but it won't go on too pigmented. Mattes tend to stay where you put them but these blend nicely. The shimmer row is refined shimmer or "grown up" shimmer with no glitter. Very high end brands tend to choose this formula and I love that Lorac was thinking ahead. You won't get tacky looks from this palette. It's a good staple product that doesn't have bulky packaging. Experiment with primers, though. Some people don't like the Lorac primer and I prefer UDPP or NARS.

Absolutely LOVE this palette. It has taken over the #1 spot in my heart over Naked 1 BECAUSE THERE IS DIVERSITY. 1/2 matte, 1/2 shimmer. Lorac shadows are generally good (not as good as UD), there is fallout but nothing crazy. The shadows in this palette are very pigmented and finely-milled (creamy as some may say) and the colors are all you could want. As I get older I feel like an eye look that includes both shimmery and matte shades are most flattering so although I still love my Naked 1, this is now the palette I grab for most.

I absolutely love this palette! I've had it for quite some time now and am not really sure why I'm not writing this review until now. Like others have said, there is some fallout, but nothing I can't work or deal with. For the blendibility, formula, and pigmentation, I'd choose this over anything else any day. The colors are great for virtually any look, day or night, dramatic or natural, and they stay on well throughout the day. I can't speak to how they compare to the naked palettes because I don't have them (because they are literally all shimmer) but I would recommend this to anyone and everyone :)

I love every single thing about this palette. I mean, the packaging, the feel, the look - there's just nothing like it. The packaging is very sleek, thin, and travel friendly. There is a decent sized mirror on the lid, similar to the ones offered on the Urban Decay Naked palettes. The thing that drew me into this palette was the fact that you get a nice mix of matte and shimmery shades - something that the Naked palettes don't offer. As far as texture goes they feel very velvety, soft, and smooth however they are more on the powdery side so I'd recommend tapping off the excess product on the brush. The blendabillity and pigmentation is great with all of the shadows in the palette. The primer that comes with the palette is quite good and it does seem to help with the staying power of the eyeshadows. Overall I have to say I prefer this palette over any other neutral palettes I own (Naked, Naked 2, The Balm Nude Tude, Etc.)

A bit powdery but you can tap off the excess product and it is so velvety smooth and blends very well!!!! I have ud naked palette 1 & 2 and this palette is definitely my go to at the moment! So amazing. I love that there are matte and shimmer!!!! I spent $42 on it and still cheaper than ud naked 1 & 2 and you get more shadows :) I love to put a shimmery shadow on my lid then blend out with matte colors. Would recommend to anyone :) Great for a simple eye or dramatic. Very versatile

Love this palette. The fact that is has equal amounts of matte and shimmer colors is what makes the difference. They are a tad "powdery" but they apply beautifully and blend really, really well. Very pigmented too.

The only thing I would change is to have more of a matte light brown/tan shade (I am fair skinned, so the matte browns are dark on me) BUT you can't please everyone! I especially love the mauve colors - sooo pretty!! You can make any look with this - simple, smokey, easy, neutral, dramatic....anything really. Love it and SO glad I splurged on this beauty.

I don't own any of the urban decay palettes so I can't compare, but this one is really nice. The colors are beautiful, they go on really smoothly and last a long time if you use the lorac primer underneath. The only thing that annoys me is the messiness of it. The eyeshadows go everywhere as soon as you touch them, and it doesn't help that the palette itself is black. Overall i really like the shadows and have been using them everyday!

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, and I've been playing with it ever since. I love the combinations you can get with this! The shades are half shimmer, half matte, no chunky glitter to be found. It comes with the prettiest highlight shades to some super sexy dark colors to really rev up a look. The only downside, and it's one a lot of other reviewers have mentioned: there's a ton of fallout with these shadows. Be sure to tap the excess off your brush before you apply, or you'll end up with raccoon eyes. Overall, though, the quality is top-notch. You can throw this in your bag for a weeklong trip and be good to go for anything. I like that the packaging is super slim, but I wish it was plastic or metal instead of cardboard. I've gotten a lot of use out of this already, and I'll repurchase if I ever run out.

The only reason I wouldn't buy this again is because it takes me forever to go through palettes, plus when I finish this one I'll want to try something new!
I got this for Christmas this year from my sister and it's probably my favorite thing I received. I think the consistency is great and not too powdery like some have said. It's quite pigmented! They have mostly neutral colors which I like, but the pink and purple in the palette are extremely wearable. My favorite shade in this is definitely Garnet. It's absolutely lovely on blue eyes.
If you're new to high end makeup I definitely recommend this palette. I also have the Naked and Naked 2 palettes, which some people compare to this palette. Perhaps due to the fact that the majority of the shadows are neutral. Now, if you have either one of these palettes or both you can definitely still justify buying the Lorac PRO palette because half of the eyeshadows are matte, which is definitely lacking in the Naked palettes.
One major con for me is the packaging. Like, really? Someone's going to pay $49 for eyeshadow that's packaged in some cheap feeling/looking cardboard material? I think that's kind of ridiculous. Other than that I love this. I just wish the packaging was better.

This palette is just AMAZING. I think if you're just starting to get into makeup and you want an essentials palette, this is a better pick than the Naked 1 or 2 palettes. The Lorac palette has a row of mattes and a row of shimmery colors and they are all gorgeous and apply so smoothly without any creasing on the eyes. They include a range of colors - dark for crease, highlighting colors, lid colors, and even a gray and mauve color. The primer that came with it was nothing special - I don't particularly like or dislike it and I use it occasionally.

An amazing palette worth the money!
