I purchased this 16 ounce shampoo for about $8 from vitaminlife.com for my fine, thinning hair that is prone to shedding. My hair is oilier at the roots and drier at the ends. It sheds excessively due to a hormone imbalance, but I have noticed over the years certain shampoos can make it worse. This shampoo is advertised as being allergen free. This includes leaving out both chemical ingredients and potential irritating natural ingredients, which is a plus.
The shampoo is a bit runny, so to avoid spilling all over the shower floor, I dilute some in a small 2 ounce bottle with a pointy twist top, and apply to my scalp directly, then lather. After using a bit of conditioner, my hair is shiny and looks pretty good. However, I think it makes my shedding worse. I even save piles of hair when I use this shampoo compared to another brand that I bought at the same time, Curelle Energe Shampoo, and the Curelle piles are much smaller. So even though the Curelle is more expensive, it's far superior in my experience, and will be the one I will continue to buy. Overall, this shampoo is okay and worth a shot for those who are looking for a fragrance free shampoo free of allergens and potential irritants.
