It is the most expensive mascara I have ever purchased and the packaging is quite nice and it feels expensive... but I don't think I would buy it again.
It does clump a bit but I have no lashes and I noticed the volume and the lengthening right away. It is a $25 value Dior Snow and Lancome Hypnoise Star is just as good.

This is the best mascara I have ever used. Better than Chanel Inimitable Intense (very good) and DiorShow (disappointing). The brush may seem tricky at first, and it does clump sometimes, but the clumps almost disappear by themselves. It definitely reaches lashes that no other brushes can, and the volume, length and curl are amazing. Just use a lash comb to get rid of extra clumping if necessary and you're good to go!

Received a sample size of this product from sephora and absolutely loved it! The packaging was sleek and very attractive. It's a non clumping formula and the unique brush design was very effective. Positively love this product!!

I received a sample/mini size of this from Sephora. Possibly one of the point perks... don't remember.
Anyways I was disappointed with this mascara. I felt it was too wet, the brush was awkward to use and mascara left my lashes clumpy. I would not buy this mascara.

The Sephora sample left my lashes super long and clump free. Fantastic! This mascara is definitely not cheap, but I figured the amazing lashes I had from sample was worth the (swallow) high price and so I ordered a tube right away from Sephora and and found the full-size version great ... at first. Unfortunately it didn't take long for the clumping to start and while it still gives me super-long lashes, I need to use a lash brush to remove the clumps of mascara and separate the clumps of lashes. Would I repurchase? Considering the high price ... nope.

Best Mascara ever! Separates, curls, doesn't smudge, no clumps, unusual but very effective brush- i love this mascara and would buy again even though it is so very expensive. Only 4 stars because Givenchy still test on animals.

I got the sample size of this mascara from my very generous sister. After applying it, the end result reminded me of Dior's Maxim Eyes except to a lesser extent. This mascara isn't as pigmented as the Dior. I like the way it fanned my lashes out and volumized them. It started flaking about an hour after the application and the pigment doesn't pack enough punch for me. I will continue to use the sample but I won't purchase it. If I want an expensive mascara, I will probably buy Lancome Hypnose.

Was very excited to try this mascara. I usually don't use high-end mascaras but the reviews on this were promising. Overall I think this is a good mascara. Is it worth 32 dollars? NO. For 32 dollars it better be damn near perfect, and it is not. This is very good at lengthening but it can get clumpy very fast. I almost ALWAYS had to use a lash comb to make it look like I had more than 4 long lashes lol. It does tend to get dry quickly also. I think this is my 4th or 5th week with it and it is substantially drier.

Bought this mascara ro replace my usual clinique one, this was suggested by the sales rep. I asked for a gentle mascara that would add volume to my already very long lashes. I was really pleased with the result and thought it looked loads better than my clinique one. However... At the evenings I noticed that the mascara had clustered into my very fine lines beneath the eyes. Firstly, a mascara shouldn't do that. Secondly, it depresses me even more since I didn't even realize that I had fine lines before. So overall, while I loved what it did for my lashes, I'll be ditching this mascara because of its overall panda effect. A shame, certainly for the price!

Gorgeous mascara! Effective brush, gives your lashes ca. 40% more length. I have quite short lashes and never used mascaras but this one really works and widens my eyes a bit :) Definitely HG and would recommend to everyone :)

I've been curious about this, so when my husband was going on a business trip I asked him to get me some at a duty free since they have a twin pack of them for £34.
I think this mascara is fantastic. The brush isn't a problem or hard to get used to, IMO. The color is a nice black that stays that way. True, you have to be careful how you apply it and have a lash comb ready just in case. When I first tried it, I only did one coat, just to test it out and it looked pretty good...not too dramatic and nice for daytime. But I put on about 3 coats yesterday and it looked like I had falsies on (my lashes are pretty 'meh'...not very long, dark, curly or thick). So this one would be good for day or night, depending on how you apply it. I had curled my lashes prior to the 3 coats and the curl did remain.
The only con was that it did flake off a bit after about 5-6 hours, but it did otherwise stay put and the color stayed the same until I took it off after about 10 hours. And because of how much I'd used, it was a bit of a job to remove all of it. I suggest baby oil, if your regular remover doesn't get it all.
No idea if the other benefits it claims will hold true (I.E-helping my lashes). I don't think I'll be a candidate for that as I don't wear makeup everyday...maybe 3 x's a week at the most. Maybe someone who wears it everyday can comment on that.

I got a sample of this at Sephora. I wasn't expecting much since my eyelashes are puny and nothing seems to make them have that "false lash" effect. This givenchy mascara does give me that false lash look! Finally! I don't know how that strange three ball brush works, all I know is that it is very black which I love, and it only takes 3 coats for my lashes to really stand out. Tons of volume, length, and no clumps. Everything I am looking for. Unfortunately, the price is insane. I had a hard enough time shelling out for my second favorite HE mascara diorshow blackout. Over $30 for a mascara that only lasts 3 months o_O I can't seem to justify the price when CG lashblast volume is pretty damn good. If you have more disposable income than I do, I highly recommend this mascara. Out of the million HE, ME, and DS mascaras I've tried this is the QUEEN of them all.

EDIT: after buying a new tube, i didn't get the results I did from my previous review (when i tried it in stores). The formula is more wet and it still does give good volume and makes your lashes very black, you just need to be careful with applying. It clumps easily and makes my eyelashes stick together instead of separating each lash. I'm going to wait for this mascara to dry up a little, try it again and see if I still get the same results I did the first time.

this is perfect, the best mascara I have used so far. The wand may look a little scary (just think of the original phenom' eyes wand x3), but it is so easy to use. This mascara makes my lashes look extremely full and gives it a ton of volume. Unlike a lot of mascara, it's also very, very black so I don't need to layer a lot, therefore avoiding clumps. I have pretty normal sized lashes that are pretty straight, but this mascara make them the biggest any mascara ever has, even without curling them. It hasn't clumped on me and it separates my lashes with each coat. The uniqueness of the brush allows you to really build up each individual lash as well (just hold the wand vertically and use the end of the ball wand to get the inner/outer lashes or even the bottom lashes). This mascara doesn't make my lashes feel brittle or stiff. It doesn't smudge or flake on me. Best of all, at the end of the day, I don't have raccoon eyes and my lashes still look as if I just put it on.
This mascara comes in a long metal tube. It's pretty sturdy and looks professional and high end.
This retails for $32 at sephora, which I believe is ridiculous, but I love the results so much, I would definitely repurchase.

Excellent product. Color, wand, texture, product quality, tube wise, this mascara beats them all. Yes the wand dies make a difference and the results are natural yet impressive and long lasting!! However, this mascara stands out for being very gentle to eyes, does not sting, it smells nicely and it actually feels nurturing and moisturizing to the lashes. Expensive - yes, but it is the best mascara in the market so it is definately worth it.

Hmmm, well I seem to disagree with most of the reviewers. I found this to be a really lackluster mascara. Not amazing in any way. Volume was minimal and no lengthening. This was just a very "natural" looking mascara on me and back to Sephora it went. FYI my HG mascaras are Tarte LCL and IT! hello lashes.

I will never buy another mascara. After one coat, my lashes look impossibly long and full. After two coats, they straight up look fake. When applied with a little care, you don't even need to go over this with a lash comb to get out the clumps -- there aren't any! The best part is that it's not just visually impressive. When I wear this mascara, my eyes don't sting, my lashes don't feel sticky/cling, and my lashes feel so light and soft, it's almost like I'm not wearing anything! I've pretty much run the gamut from drugstore to high end in terms of mascara sampling, and this has been the most impressive.

Very clumpy and over priced. Not the blackest of blacks, like the girl behind the counter mentioned. Didn't use it long enough to see if it actually treats my lashes but overall i wouldn't buy it again.

When it comes to mascara I kind of feel like the kid who cries "Wolf" all the time.... As this is another brilliant mascara! The wand takes some getting used to, but the formula is perfect! Really black, gives good volume, it makes my lashes curly and keeps them soft. No flaking, but it does smudge a bit after a vigilant workout or a bout of rain, but well... It's not claiming to be waterproof so that's my bad ;). I will not be claiming to buy this again, because let's be honest: there will probably be a new and even better mascara I want by the time I finish this ;)

Gorgeous mascara! It gives intense definition and length without clumping or looking messy. The shade is super black. Perfect for an evening look, but can be worn daytime too. I'm not crazy about the three-ball wand, but hey, I guess it does work. The tube feels luxurious, which is expected at this price range. I don't think I would ever re-purchase though, because it's not hard to find a good drugstore mascara these days, so it's hard to justify the price tag on this one.

This is Givenchy's poor attempt at expanding on their famous Phenomen'Eyes Mascara. I love Phenom, so when I heard the Noir Couture is supposed to have not one but THREE balls on it's brush, I got excited. This doesn't grab every lash as Phenom does. It can't give the 360 effect because the bristles on the balls are spaced with too many gaps, like a honeycomb, rather than shooting out in all directions (faithful users of Phenom will understand what I'm talking about). Nothing special about what this mascara does compared to any other normal mascara. The only reason I even left 2 stars instead of one is because the tube is high quality. Big whoop dee do. lol
