Tarte's Clean Slate 360° Creaseless 12 Hour Smoothing Eye Primer is a "waterproof eye primer that locks eyeshadow in place while preventing fallout an migration for true shadow payoff. The universal shade glides on easily and powders through the day into the evening for 12 hours of perfect wear time. 360° Creaseless can be used as both a shadow primer and under eye base to smooth areas around the eye, giving you a seamless application and all around 360° eye solutions". This eye primer contains Vitamin E to nourish the delicate eye area. I got a little 2.6g (.09oz) sample in Tarte's Clean Slate Primer Trio, which proved to be defective. I received a new sample courtesy of Tarte's Customer Service, which sparked my Customer Service Kudos post about the brand. The full size tube retails for $19, which is on par with the other high end eye primers. Tarte is a cruelty free bran. This primer was made int he USA. The entire Clean Slate line is formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, and synthetic fragrance.
Tarte's Clean Slate 360° Creaseless Primer comes in a white squeeze tube with a coated bamboo cap (though my sample has a brown plastic cap). The tube offers the Tarte logo and product name written in purple lettering. Silver, purple, and spring green flowers wrap around the top and bottom of the tube. Twisting off the cap reveals a needle nose dispenser.
Tarte's Clean Slate 360° Creaseless Eye Primer is a very thin, off white liquid. It's so easy to squeeze out too much and over apply this primer because it seems so thin. This primer dries down very quickly to a power finish, and creates a smooth base to apply any eyeshadow over. Tarte's Eye Primer boosts the color payoff of any eyeshadow, but I think it really pumps up matte eyeshadows, giving them a smoother, more even look. I don't feel like Tarte's 360° Creaseless Primer improves the blendability of eyeshadow. On the other hand I think that the Tarte Creaseless Primer improves the wear of eyeshadows, preventing creasing and fading. This primer keeps my shadows perfect throughout nine hour work days in a greasy, hot kitchen, which is quite a feat. This eye primer certainly holds up to it's waterproof claim, if you swatch the primer on your hand and leave it there, it just does not come off. This product will separate in the tube and can get oily and and kinda gross, so I encourage you to shake or palpate your tube before use.
Tarte's Clean Slate 360° Creaseless Eye Primer is pretty good, but quite different from the other eye primers I've tried. Packaging is both cute and functional, which I always appreciate. Unlike most eye primers, which are creamy, Tarte's is a liquid. This primer does a great job of preventing creasing and fading and is a wonderful base for matte eyeshadows. I likely won't repurchase this eye primer, as I have several other primers waiting in the wings. If you work with a lot of matte eyeshadows, Tarte's Clean Slate 360° Creaseless Eye Primer is a great choice.

Please note: this primer works quite well and I only indicated that I would not buy again because I have found a primer that is more natural, works just as well and is a fraction of the price.

Tarte's "creaseless" primer is definitely well-named. It prevents creasing better and for longer than the few other primers I have tried and oily lids/ creasing are definitely my biggest issues with eye makeup.

This primer is pretty simple to apply. It's a thinner liquid/gel type consistency and I just apply it directly to my eyelid with my finger without trouble. After just a few seconds to dry it's ready for shadow.

I have tried this primer with some of my longest lasting e/s and some with the worst staying power and all have stayed in place and un-creased for roughly 7-9 hours after application. Out of all that I have tried, this primer seems to play best with Tarte Amazonian Clay shadows which lasted nearly 12 hours without a crease when used with this primer.

I'm not sure what it is in the ingredients, but something in here does seem to cause tiny pimples on my eye lids if I use it too often. I generally do not wear eye makeup that requires primer every day, so it's not a huge problem, but it does discourage me from re-purchasing this primer.

Overall a great product. Just make sure to test to see if it breaks you out.

This is the best primer I've tried for my super oily lids. Urban Decay Primer Potion works around 5-6 hours on me, but Tarte's 360 Eye Primer last 12+. I've seen reviews where people said this dried out their lids, but that's exactly what I need since mine a super oily. I used to get creasing like crazy, and avoided shimmery shadows, but now I can wear them with no worries and they look just as good when I first applied hours later! I will definitely be purchasing this again!

I've been using BE Prime Time eyelid primer for a few years. It doesn't irritate my very sensitive eyes, but it isn't a good value for the money, and I don't like the squeeze tube with the angle plastic tip. It gets gunked up and it's hard to squeeze out exactly the amount I need. So that's why I decided to switch to Tarte. It's a much better value for the money, almost three times as much product for the same price, and it works just as well. I like that I can squeeze out just a tiny bit and rub it on with my pinky fingers. I would like to use this on my lower lash line, as I did my BE Prime Time, but if this gets in my eyes it burns and itches like crazy, and my eyes tear for hours. I took off one lippie for that. For eyeshadow it's perfect, and I doubt I'll go back to BE. It's just too expensive.

Excellent primer: lasts 12 hours and then some. Applies colorlessly and smoothly and helps the eyeshadow stay true to form. Love that it's all natural. Only thing that I'd change is the applicator: the tube means I have to use a brush or fingers to get it on my eyes, which can sometimes be imprecise. But the primer is good enough that it's not worth taking a lippy off just for that.

it does the job. keeps eyeshadow on all day with no creasing. it's perfect! i got it in a little sample set with 2 other tarte primers, and this has lasted me a good 6+ months, and still going. you really need a little. it's super blendable and i use my fingers to apply/blend, but using a concealer brush works fine too. the product is a white liquid, which is blended away. once i run out i will purchase the full size, but if you can get your hands on the 3 piece primer set definitley get it, it's a steal at $9 from sephora, and this eyeshadow primer itself lasts sooooo long. i'm not sure if it's still available though. :( oh and i have VERY VERY oily eyelids.

I tried everyone else's holy grail Urban Decay primer, but that left my lids flaky and irritated. I have a nearly full tube of it to swap!

So I skipped primers for a long time, but then I got some sheer shadows and they just didn't even show up. I thought, "maybe I need primer." I picked up Tarte because it's paraben free.

Like others said, it is a thinner consistency, which made me doubt it would do anything. I also found that I need to shake the tube to make sure it's not separated. But I don't need much, and I also swiped some under my eyes as an experiment to see if it would help stop the concealer from creasing. Since it's virtually colorless, it seemed harmless.

Well, that experiment succeeded, AND my eye shadow suddenly showed up and stayed on until I washed off makeup at night. My concealer looks lovely, no creasing anymore! I'd keep using it for that alone. But I love how it keeps shadows from creasing, too!

All in all, I think this is amazing. Few bad chemicals, no irritation, no strange color to interfere with your eyeshadow color, and it doesn't make shadow drag on application. I also don't need to use much, so I haven't had any trouble with it drying slow--it's dry pretty much right after I put it on--so this tube should last at least a year.

Update: trying it today on my brows also, and so far it's kept them from getting oily like they always do, and the brow color looks just like I put it on this morning. As long as it doesn't irritate them, I'm going to keep using it!

I received this in a package with trial sizes of Tarte primers.

I did not like this. I've been using Urban Decay's Primer Potion, and I will stick to that.

I was just messing around with it; I didn't attempt long-term wear. I was only practicing different eye looks, so I didn't wear more than a couple of hours.

At first, when I put it on one eye, the tube squeezed out too much of the product onto my finger. So, I dabbed it on both eyes.

The consistency was very thin and liquid-like. It was very much like a thin lotion. It didn't feel bad on my skin at all. The makeup (cheap e.l.f. eyeshadows and femme couture gel eyeliner) looked nice on top.

The second time I attempted to put it on, the tube literally squeezed out a flesh-colored water. It was nasty, and due to the size of the tube, it was just about impossible to attempt to "mix" the product back up.

So, I wouldn't even bother trying this again. I'll stick to UD Primer Potion.

Consistency leans more toward liquidy than say UD's Primer Potion. It does take a little time to sink in. I think it works just as well as UD's Primer Potion.

Though I will admit, when squeezing out a drop, it does tend to squeeze out more product. Kind of like a mini-bursting out of tube.

This is a great primer and it gets the job done. Although, I would not repurchase since I find that Too Faced Shadow Insurance and LORAC Behind the Scenes last longer on me.

I recently got the trial kit of the three primers Tarte is famous for. This is one of my favorites!! I love that this is formulated without talc, parabens, and etc. Tarte is known for being organic and natural!! And I love that. I didn't give this product 5/5 because the consistency is pretty oily and a little goes a long way. It is essential to only use a tiny amount for both eyelids because squeezing out too much will only cake on the product.

Pros:
Formulated without harsh chemicals
Keeps eyeshadows long lasting
No creasing until 7-8 hours later
A little product goes a long way

Cons:
Oily/liquidy consistency
Tends to crease about 7-8 hours of wear (had longer lasting effects with other brands)
Packaging makes it hard to only get a little product out...

I adore many Tarte things but this is in my top loves I love the texture how it holds i have worn my makeup some days from four am until nine or ten pm and it tickles me so much when I go to wash it off that my eye makeup is still lovely and just like I left it and not all run together in a mash of color. I got this first in a sample set with two other primers and after a few weeks of use i still had half a mini tube but i bought the large for when i run out a lovely over all primer.

Eye makeup really does stay put all day when applied over this product. My only complaint is that it does seem to take a while to fully sink into skin (adding on time in the AM)

I have tried all the most popular eye shadow primers and this one is by far my favorite. It comes in a sanitary squeeze tube. The consistency is very light and smooth and sinks into the skin quickly without any greasiness. I love that it has a white tint to it so when you apply it to your eyelids it immediately brightens them up. I can throw this on with some mascara and my eyes look great. Of course it also brightens and locks in shadow with out any creasing throughout the day. It is also a cruelty free product which is a must.
