Very nice, natural looking liquid foundation. It is not too matte and not too oily. Loved the fact that it dries quickly. Only minus - difficult to find the right shade, they are all too red.

I have recently been dabbling in makeup and was requested to do my best friends makeup for an Asian wedding. I had bought her this foundation for her birthday as she wasn't fond of the natural finish. I am in love with bb foundations since converting from MAC as they are truly skin tone correct especially for Asian skin where it's hard to find a colour match without it looking too white or grey.

Firstly the bottle is lovely and comes in frosted glass with a pump which is a necessity. The consistency is liquid gel like but not heavy at all. I think people may think it is compared to the other bb foundations as they are more watery.

I applied this using a beauty blender which is perfect for applying this formula as it gives an airbrushed finish and is also buildable. Try applying one pump at a time. I would say for everyday use one or two should suffice whereas I used up to three for this occasion. Using a primer and setting powder ks vital. I used mac prep and prime and set with laura mercier powder and fix+ spray.

This foundation did not look nor feel heavy at all. It gave a perfectly matte/semi-matte finish. It is truly long wearing as she wore it from 8am until 1am the next morning only requiring one touch up of setting powder as she has oily skin. This controlled her oil well although a touch up would always be required if skin is oily. The coverage is buildable ranging from medium to full and evens skin tone so well. As with all bb foundations it can be full coverage but never looked cakey or maskey. Beautifully natural.

I agree the lavender smell is evident but disappeared once applied and it didn't really bother me as such. I would not recommend this product to dry skins, but is brilliant for normal to oily.

From our experience the oil control, coverage and lasting power is superior to natural finish, the only downside if the price as it is quite expensive but then again you get what you pay for and this is a quality product.

I brought this because my fave bobbi brown foundation - natural finish foundation is DISCONTINUED :((( From what I researched this was an improved version... it is not im afraid. Other than giving me better coverage that is the only improvement. Has a distinctive smell is almost waterproof that you sweat more because your skin cannot breath and its even harder to wash from your hands afterwards which just goes to show how hard it would be to wash off at night. it cakes and sets quickly so I cannot apply it like I do with my natural finish. Generally - BRING BACK NATURAL FINISH!!

I bought this foundation because I was told that this was an improved version of BB's Natural Finish Long Lasting foundation, which I loved so much. Sadly, I was disappointed with the quality of this one because it feels so heavy on my skin and is soooo hard to spread out. It also doesn't help with oil control and I get that icky, oily feeling after 4-5 hours of wear. Shame, really, because I love Bobbi's shade selection and the packaging is quite nice too. I hope they bring back Natural Finish Long Lasting foundation because that was my HG!

I've had this foundation in my stash for a while, and after wearing it today, I remembered why I just don't reach for it much -- it is not horrible, but it is not amazing either. Firstly, the name of this foundation is kind of misleading -- "long wear" this foundation is not, it wears off after just a few hours (and the oilier my skin is when I wear this, the quicker it wears off). Maybe this foundation is longer lasting on drier skins, but on my combo skin, it doesn't last too long before I see it getting patchy on me. Secondly, after a few hours, I notice it to be a bit streaky on my face and it also settles a bit into lines and pores (not a lot, but just enough to annoy me). It is kind of disappointing because I admit I do like the look of this foundation when I first apply it onto my face, it is kind of a light texture, has a light-medium coverage, and it feels light on my face -- I do feel my complexion looks even (yet natural) when I first apply this and set it with powder. It doesn't cover everything and I still need concealer, but it is not too bad. Another positive to this foundation is the shade -- BBs shades are a much better match for me than MACs (they seem to run too orangey/yellow whereas BB is a much more natural yellow tone match for my NC20/25 asian skin tone). Fragrance-wise, there is definitely a lavender scent to this foundation (most of BB's foundations have this lavender scent, and normally I hate fragrances, with florals being the most offensive to me ... but the lavender I can handle, and it dissipates once on the skin). I don't hate this foundation, but I just don't love it either -- I will try to use this on the weekends and in the cooler weather when I am looking for lighter coverage, but I probably won't be buying this again.

Got 2 samples of this from Nordstrom, as my HG foundation (Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation) was discontinued, and I was hoping this would be a superior replacement.

It isn't. It's so bad. So, so bad. The color is OK, although I find it curious that the colors don't seem to match up (I was Porcelain, Alabaster in this is a closer match). It has a scent, a weird, overpowering scent like Clarins products. It's foundation! It's not supposed to be perfume. Gross.

But worst of all was the texture. It never felt like it "set." It retained a weird, tacky finish on my face. It's not nearly as long-lasting as its predecessor.

I guess I don't understand the point of this product. I wanted it to be the foundation of my dreams, an improvement on an already pretty flawless formula. Instead Bobbi Brown has reverted back to its original reputation for me as a brand with terrible foundation formulas, but good colors. A waste of $47.00 USD. I'm glad I only had samples.

I am a huge fan of all things Bobbi. I especially like her foundations/concealers. She was one of the first MU artists to realize that we don't look good with pink-toned foundation. Her early formulas were definitely too yellow but now I believe she has the best array of foundations on the market. The first time I tried this foundation I made the mistake of applying this with a brush. Don't apply this with a brush! Use your fingers, blending in a small amounts, one at a time. The coverage is medium and the added benefit of SPF is nice. I know some people have complained about the smell but I just bought a bottle and honestly can't smell anything.

I like Bobbi Brown's foundations. They are yellow based, as we all have yellow in our skin tone. They are skin tone correct, and her color selection is great. This is more of a moderate to full coverage foundation with a matte finish, yet it looks very natural. It is long wearing as well which is nice.

I got a sample of this, and after trying it on, had to wash my face immediately. Very disturbing consistency. Gooey, gluey, plain strange. Doesn't dry up and melt into the skin. I asked the salesperson for the lightest shade, but she claimed to know me better and gave me a sample of a 4th away from the lightest shade. It didn't matter anyway, because it's unwearable.

Before I even start let me tell you that this foundation has A LOT of dimethicone,so I don't know how it even works for oily or combination skin (dimethicone is a silicon oil used to smooth skin, but it can also leave a rubber like effect and dry skin because it's chemical strecture repells water)

I have combination skin, with a whimsical t-zone (sometimes it's an oil factory and sometimes it's just a little shinny) and normal to dry cheeks with rosacea, and I was matched 02 SAND which is a good color for my complexion. This foundation worked well for about a week. After that time it became a disaster,it would slide from my nose and forhead and get patchy and cakey on my cheeks. And it even made some areas of my face appear to have fine lines!! (which I don't have because I'm just 19!).

Ater 4 hours it completely melts and lets all the redness show and it also leaves an ugly shine all over my face, unless before applyng it,I combine a drop of Eucerin ph5 cream to a drop of the foundation and set it with thermal water. With this technique it last 2 to 3 hours more, but the whole thing is a great waste of time and money (and never looks natural).

If it wasn't for the color match i would give it 1 lippy :(

Please don't be put off by all the negative reviews! This foundation is actually really, really good!

The first thing that thrilled me was that the colour Honey matches my skin tone perfectly. It doesn't go orange, but I did find it warmed up a bit on my skin. When applied with a foundation brush, one pump will cover my face (although I will use two if I want heavier coverage). It is a medium coverage foundation and with a bit of buffing, blends in nicely and looks natural - not cakey or heavy. I've also found that if you find the coverage too heavy, mixing it in with some light moisturiser will lighten it up a bit. I do this a bit now, as I find Bobbi's Skin Foundation (which is meant for a more natural look) far too shiny on my skin and I hate it, but using a bit of moisturiser with the Long Wear foundation gives a better effect.

I have an oily t-zone and dry cheeks, and found this foundation doesn't accentuate my dry spots (like the new Estee Lauder Double Wear) and doesn't make me oilier or require me to blot loads (like NARS Sheer Glow) I haven't noticed any breakouts, and the lavender smell on application is actually quite nice (although I know some people react to lavender, so test this out first!)

While it ticks most of the boxes, I am quite disappointed in the "long wear" claim. 12 hours is pretty tough stuff, and I've found that it doesn't even last a whole 8-hour working day. I have tried setting this with the Sheer Finish powder, and with MAC blot powder, or not setting it with anything, but by the time I get home from work I can see my light scarring and sun spots that I covered up in the morning. So while the finish is lovely for a long-wear foundation, I sadly haven't been able to get the full distance out of it.

Overall, though, I will continue to repurchase this foundation because it's the best I've tried for my skin tone - and I've tried A LOT!! If I could just find a good setting powder to blot away a bit of shine and if this could really last longer, I'd never look at another foundation again!

The first time I tried this foundation, it was when it first came out.. months ago and I hated it! I found that when I put on my skin, it was blotchy, really disliked the feeling it left on my face, and it felt sticky as well. On my search for a good matte foundation, I tried MAC's but found it to be way too orange/red. So after some failed attempts, I came back to the Bobbi Brown foundations.. even though I wasn't a fan of the foundation, it was a perfect match for my skin tone and decided to give it another shot. The second time around, I found the foundation to be so much better! I feel as though the formula has adjusted, because it doesn't feel sticky anymore and doesn't dry too fast like before. I'm happy I gave it another shot, because its a lot better than the first time around, I would repurchase this foundation.

I asked for a sample of this with low expectations, given the very mixed reviews on MUA. I have a violently oily t-zone and the undereye/cheekbone area is dry and tight. Large pores and patchy pigmentation means that it's tricky to get makeup to stay on AND look good without transferring or oxidising or drying out or turning into an oily mess. This foundation performed very, very, very well in winter conditions. I have not yet tried it in high temps. Still, applied lightly with a brush, over Hourglass or Bioderma primers, it blurred the appearance of pores all day. Resisted oil breakthough for 7+ hours. Resisted transfer. Continued to look good after blotting and quick touchup with a powder foundation. Did not settle into lines. Did not discolour. Did not dry out skin in vulnerable cheekbone area. Very high performance product if the priming is done well. Gives a vastly more youthful look than EL DW Light; outlasts Revlon Colourstay and isn't as drying; better wearing properties and oil control than all the above and it also outperformed the very pricey Sisley Oil Free foundation. Very impressed, and would re-purchase, but I still continue to dream pointlessly of a foundation that doesn't require blotting and re-powdering. Having said that, this is a hugely better product that the old tech, aging EL DW liquids and powder foundations, and probably one of the most high performing liquid foundations for my awkward skin type.

I stumbled across this whilst shopping for a corrector at the Bobbi Brown counter. The MUA at the Bobbi Brown counter at Myer (I'm from Australia) was so lovely and suggested I try their long lasting foundation, so willingly I did. I was matched to 4.5 in warm natural which is a perfect colour match for my NC 37-40 skin.

The first thing I noticed was the lavender scent, I didn't mind it but if you have super sensitive skin, this may irritate you. The smell does go away once the foundation has set.

The texture of the foundation is a thick consistency, you don't need a lot as a little goes a long way.

I used a MAC stipling brush to apply the foundation however I also used my fingers to apply the foundation around my eyes. I found that the foundation dries up pretty quickly too. It is a medium to well coverage and you can build the colour.

I really love the finish to this foundation, it gives me a lovely warm glow, has a natural finish and has excellent staying power. It really is long lasting and can withstand different environments. I work in the office all day and due to all the air con, my skin doesn't really breathe and there fore produces more oil, with BB long wear I think it controls my combination skin and keeps my skin looking hydrated but not oily. It has lasted me about 10 hours with only one touch up on t zone. Super impressed that my makeup stayed in place all day and didn't even " separate" or cake up in certain areas.

This foundation also has SPF 15 which is great. It still photographs really well and doesn't give that white cast which I hate! Bonus points for SPF and not looking like a ghost.

Pump bottle is fantastic! Gives the right amount of foundation in one pump and it is more hygienic this way.

The price is errrr expensive. Being in Australia, the RRP is always so much more expensive. I purchased this foundation for $78 AUD ...yikes!

Other than the price, I really love the foundation...and would definitely purchase again.

This foundation is great for those who do have oily skin. Keep in mind wearing a good moisturizer that is oil free will work best with this foundation. The formula has changed and is a true match as compared to before where it was off by 2 shades and would look lighter in the shade you are matched to. It gives more coverage than it did before but wears all day. Make sure when buying this product you get rematched because the old formula will not be the same color in the new formula and set with a loose powder. Hydration is key to keeping your foundation looking it's best all day everyday.

Really surprised at the low ratings on here but guess everyone is different. I usually check here first before buying any makeup but was on Hong Kong and bought this and was pretty cheap than back at home. This gave me a matte finish and lasted pretty well for my oily skin. I always need to use oil blotting papers so never expect a miracle. But overall, great colour for my indian toned skin and long lasting :)

Age: 25-29   Skin: Oily, Fair, Neutral   Hair: Brown   Eyes: Green

I started using this product after Natural Finish foundation was discontinued and, like a lot of other reviewers, I have been really disappointed!

Firstly, it definitely doesn't have an 'even finish'. The consistency is very heavy and it sinks into pores and imperfections straight away - not very flattering! I couldn't get it to blend into my skin properly, so it always looked strangely patchy.

Despite being quite heavy and drying at first, it soon became very, very oily over my nose and cheeks (and my skin isn't even particularly oily!). The texture became very sticky, a bit like semi-dry pritt-stick, so when I tried to blot it it just peeled off - I've never experienced that with a foundation before. It also oxidised, which made my blusher turn really dark too. By about mid afternoon it had mostly melted off my face.

I desperately wanted this foundation to work for me, as I have very pale skin (warm ivory) and few brands do foundations in this shade. I tried various combinations of moisturiser / powder / primer for several weeks but nothing made much difference. In the end I switched brands (to Sisley, which is better than this but to be honest it's not quite as good as Natural Finish foundation, despite being over twice the price!).

I don't see how this foundation could work for anyone - it would be too drying for drier skins and it's terrible on oily skin (if you filter the reviews to just oily skin, the results are awful!). Looking at the ingredients I can see that it contains shea butter, which could explain the heavy, sticky feel. Given that this is usually used in very dry skin products, I can't understand why you would use in it a long-wear foundation for oily skin.

I used to use Bobbi Brown's Skin Foundation, which I really liked, but the make up artist at their concession persuaded me to switch to this one because, in fairness, I was looking for a less runny foundation that provides a bit more coverage and doesn't accentuate my oily skin.

I REALLY wanted to like it and used it for a good 2 - 3 months before giving in. While it's the exact same colour as the skin foundation I used before (warm beige), I find that when I look at my face in bright lights, it looks very orange. Furthermore, I tend to get dry, flaky skin on my nose (which is also oily - worst of both worlds!) and this foundation really highlights them. Spending an extra 5 minutes picking all of the dry bits off my nose while trying to keep my foundation intact is not something I have time for/want to do in the mornings! I'm only 21, so I don't have any wrinkles yet, but somehow the Long Wear Even Finish Foundation manages to make my eyes look as though they are surrounded by them!? Plus. I have noticed a few dodgy red patches on my chin and around my eye and I never got them before, so I'm blaming the foundation for that too...

Quite gutted to be writing such a negative review because I'm a complete Bobbi Brown advocate and I usually love their make up but this was really bad and I'm annoyed that I paid so much money for it, but will be wasting most of the bottle.

I tried this foundation over the summer due to the MUA at the counter telling me it would provide a matte finish and last longer than their Skin Foundation. The color match in Golden was perfect and I really liked the finish, but I noticed after a week or so that my skin started breaking out. I don't wear foundation on the weekends unless I'm going out, so my skin would start to clear up. Then back to breakouts as soon as I wore this foundation again on Monday. I read another review that said lavender oil is used in this foundation, and I believe this ingredient is causing my breakouts. I typically only get hormonal breakouts of maybe one or two pimples on my cheeks or jawline, but this foundation caused me to breakout everywhere. I recently switched to MAC Face and Body in C6 and love it! No breakouts, and flawless light, even coverage.

I purchased the discontinued version (Oil-Free Even Finish Foundation SPF 15) in Warm Almond a long time ago because it is a perfect color match. It has been said that foundation is your match if it disappears into your skin, and this one does. However, I'd put it far back in my stash for later use when my skin cleared because imo it is not a full coverage foundation, and not sufficient to cover hyperpigmented blemishes, of which I've had my share. I knew one day it would be a great foundation when my skin cleared, and I was right. I started using the old version on the regular, and got a little anxious because I thought the new version may not be as good. And we all know how difficult finding a good foundation color match is.

This version, imo, is very similar to the discontinued version, and may be better because it comes with a pump, plus it offers just a tad more coverage and is more creamy. Just like the old version, this yellow undertone, super-pigmented liquid evens your skin tone without covering it in a mask-like way. It looks like skin, and not like you are wearing foundation. However, concealer is needed to cover any blemishes.

This foundation is good for me in another way because it motivates me to stick to a skincare regimen to keep my skin clear. Who wants to look like they have on a lot of foundation anway? Not me, anymore at least -lol. One lippie off because it is expensive, but worth it.

UPDATE: I still like this, but not as much as the discontinued version. This one is a tad more pigmented and creamy making the coverage a tad heavier. I miss the nearly water version. But, I will continue to purchase because of the fantastic color match.
