This is one interesting polish. Others have mentioned blue tinges on top of the golden-yellow-green, but I get some dark pink/reddish tinges, not blue. So very intriguing! I originally bought this after reading it was a good dupe for Chanel Peridot, and I can't speak to whether this is true, but regardless - it's a gorgeous color. I love yellow-green and lime green polishes, but they're difficult colors to wear on very pale skin. This shade is warm and has depth.
Not sure if I got an old bottle, but for me this polish applies thicker than other OPI polishes and dries much more quickly. It definitely takes two coats to achieve opacity and a good top coat is essential. I'm wearing it only for the second time, but I'm realizing that it chipped after two days the first time around due to a subpar top coat. This time I used Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle clear polish - not actually marketed as a top coat - and I'm on my fourth day without a chip or wearing at the tips. And who has two thumbs and beats up her hands? This girl! Oh wait, I just found a small chip. Darn it! I jinxed myself. But there's just one, on my index finger. That's a near miracle. Would I buy it again? Yes! In fact, I just ordered a back up bottle because I love it so much.

Lovely colour, definitely comes out more yellowy goldy than it looks in the bottle. Nice to apply, though I find it to be a wee bit more streaky than most OPI nail polishes, wears about as well as any polish, best with a good top coat. I did get chipping after a few days without a top coat mind you, but in saying that I use my hands a LOT. I was a little disappointed and definitely should have looked up swatches before purchasing, but still love this

This is an absolutely wild color in the bottle, a sort of "oil spill" thing going on with gold in the middle, green and blue pooling around the sides. Once on nails it's mainly a tarnished goldish shimmery bronzy...it's actually hard to describe! In any event it's all very pretty and wearable because so much of the golden-ness is the most obvious. Im actually glad that once applied hardly any of the blue flash is visible. Some say its a dupe for Chanel's Peridot, and after viewing photo comparisons online it looks like a close match but I have not seen Peridot in person so that's all I can say about that. I have the OPI and that's good enough for me with sort of color. I love "Just Spotted the Lizard" and would recommend it happily to be added to a polish collection. I certainly have none other like it!

The OPI brand is on the more expensive side of the nail-care spectrum, but it is nonetheless, a company that manufactures consistently good product. OPI's Just Spotted The Lizard is no exception. The colour is gorgeous- the bottle is just a taster of what is going to happen once you apply it! It's an exciting mix of golden, copper, and green tones which has a tendency to look blu-ish and even mildly purple in some lights! The application is so easy, which is really saying something because my nails are much narrower than average.
At a time where the nail art trend is taking a backseat, and interesting colour and tones are taking precedence, OPI's Just Spotted The Lizard is a great buy.
Overall, this is a great nailpolish- buy it, and watch the compliments flow!

I admit: I got this one because of all the hype. It's okay. I like it in the bottle but on my nails it's just kinda nyeh...

I really like this polish! I love the green/gold duochrome finish, but I do wish it showed up a bit blue like it does in the bottle. MUCH lighter on the fingers than in the bottle. Wears great, doesn't streak, smudge or chip. Would definitely buy again!

This is from OPI's 2012 Spiderman collection. It is a coppery-green with a metallic finish.
Application: 4/5
Colour Turnout: 4.5/5
I do really love this colour, although it looks a little different in the bottle than on your nails. In the bottle it looks like a goldy-green, but mostly green. On your nails in some lights it looks completely copper. I still adore the colour, as green is my favourite colour and I am a sucker for green polishes.
The application was great as well. Two coats did the trick, and there was no streakiness. It dried quite fast as well.
Overall, a great polish!

I got a mini-sized set of amazing spiderman collection.
it looks khaki gold with rich shimmers.
i thought it is good for fall rather than summer, so i tried this today.
The shimmer is really rich, metallic, duochrome. Formula and drying are good too.
This is a great colour but unfortunately it's not my favorite type to wear.
love to see its bottle but not on my nails... I'm kinda sorry for that :(
I'm not gonna buy the regular bottle of this, but if you like those cool colours to wear, i suggest you to buy :)

I basically adore this colour - in some lights it's a coppery gold, in some lights it's a green with hints of teal (though not as much as in the bottle) and it's very shimmery, catches the light gorgeously. I've only deducted a point because I've worn it a couple of times and it does tend to show brushstrokes quite a lot in some lights. (Like, not enough that I'm going to stop wearing it, just enough that I need to be careful.)

I get SO many compliments when I wear this polish, moreso than probably any other color I own (a woman at my work actually grabbed one of my hands and turned it slightly so she could admire the pretty green/gold duochrome effect, lol). So overall I do like it, because it is bold and it makes a strong impression. Application is also good, not nearly as streaky as I expected. I use three thin coats to get it opaque.
Unfortunately, I don't think the actual color is all that flattering... it ages my hands and makes them look a little bit sallow. Also, the durability of this shade is sub-par compared to what I've come to expect from OPI -- noticeable tip wear within 2 days, even with a topcoat.

I decided to buy this after trying on Chanel Peridot in duty free and loving it... Couldn't justify the Chanel prices - almost $40AUD, so I thought this was a good compromise...
I love the colour in the bottle and I loved this the day I put it on, but I just didn't feel the love for long after that and by the third day I was busting to take it off... Don't know why, cos it is a pretty colour, maybe it just didn't suit me or maybe it is more of a party colour. It is fairly brush-strokey and I didn't find it wore as well on the surface as other colours, it kind of went a bit dull, so I think would need an top-coat every day to keep it super pretty and shiny.
Formula was great, easy to apply and I love the OPI brush.

This is a STUNNING nail polish! I am so in love with this for fall. It's a gorgeous green-gold that changes colour in different light, almost chameleon-like. The formula goes on smoothly and has good coverage with two coats. It's rich, unique, sexy and just exquisite! I can't rave enough about it.

I'm a neon girl, but perhaps that isn't really the case because I'm finding I'm also a vampy, dark nail polish girl. So I guess I was a neon polish gal that has gotten to the point that she can't keep buying neons. At some point I decided to try out some unusual colors and Just Spotted the Lizard was on the top of my list.
This color is cool. It goes well with my skin tone, which is fair-medium. The polish spends most of its time being a sort of gold color, but in the right light it turns green. This polish also turns a cool sort of turquoise, but only in the right light.
I won't wear this a ton, but I'm glad to have it in my arsenal. It is a unique, nicely crafted nail polish. It holds up fairly well. My only complaint is that I wish the polish was as dimensional on my nails as it was in the bottle, but I guess that is a common thing with duochromes. If OPI could ever figure out how to make this polish look as amazing on my nails as it does on the bottle I would be over the moon. I'm not over the moon, but I'm definitely happy with this polish purchase. Check it out for sure! :)

This polish has been well described here. It has the quality that you come to expect from OPI so that's no surprise. I think this polish looks a little like MAC's pigment in Old Gold. It is absolutely beautiful.

I LOVE this color! I know it's not the sort of thing that everybody likes, but being the nail polish hoarder that I am, I love to have these sort of colors in my collection. In some lights its a yellow-green, in others its a green-gold and sometimes it even looks blue! While this was expensive I'm glad it is a cheaper alternative to the Chanel one.
The formula is amazing! And the brush is even better!
I would repurchase this if they don't discontinue this.

Just spotted the Lizard is from the Spiderman collection (Summer 2012)
I ordered this with mixed feelings - not sure if I would like a gold/green duochrome effect on my nails - but I am impressed.
First impression was that the polish in the bottle looks stunning…. Gold, green and also blue. The blue does not really show up much on nails but the colour is still quite mesmerising. As you move your hands the super shiny polish flashes different colours. Gold, olive green, lime green, bronze. (fur green and teeny bit of blue when you look at it side-on). Also looks great on my toes.
Application was OK, I used 2 coats. There are a tiny amount of air bubbles on the side of one of my nails - despite this flaw, I would still score this a 5.
I think it is a colour that can be worn year round. I change my polish often but have had this on for 3 day with a few different outfits and it has looked fantastic each time. I first wore this polish with an olive green sundress, gold strappy sandals and lots of chunky gold bangles - it really complimented the outfit. I have also worn it with a crisp white shirt dress with a brown belt, dark brown wedges and wooden beads and bangles.
If I run out of this (unlikely - I have tons of polish) I would buy it again as there is nothing else in my collection like it…... so a happy purchase for me. However, if this is limited edition I would think it would be hard to find in future
Go ahead - give the lizard it a try!

When I saw this online I knew I had to have it but I had no idea how much more beautiful it would be in person. Its the coolest green/gold duo chrome nail polish I've ever seen and I am so in love with it! I usually have nail art on my nails but I wore this alone and was so pleased with the result just by itself.
It is very pigmented so you could really get away with 1 coat but I put on two just to make sure everything was covered evenly. It went on very smoothly and didn't bubble when I applied a second coat. As with all OPI nail polishes the brush is amazing and I wore this for an entire week with no chips or wearing at the tips. I love it as a manicure but I don't think I'd wear it as a pedicure - just personal preference as I am not a fan of anything green on my toes. I got it for $10 which is totally worth the money when purchasing OPI because you get what you pay for! Get this polish before its sold out!! :)

"Just Spotted The Lizard" is a beatiful green-gold color with a hint of bronze in it. The color looks different, more green in one direction then more bronze/gold. The effect is super cool!
As always with OPI nail polishes the quality is excellent. Great coverage and superb staying power. I would definitely repurchase this color. It's one of my faves! I've gotten many compliments when wearing it.

This color is perfect for summer. Gold when first applied, and upon 2 or more layers, you'll start to see blue/green from certain angles! Definitely an interesting selling point (which is one of the main reasons why I bought it) Will definitely repurchase once I finished this, but I have this feeling that it is a limited edition piece - like most collections. But nonetheless, I really love this color and have no complaints about it.

I have the full sized bottle of this one. I really like it and have already worn it two different times, whereas usually I get bored with nail polishes quickly. I docked it, though, because it isn't as green as I might have thought for something that calls itself "lizard." When I hold my nails up in front of me, it looks straight-up gold. The first time I applied it, I was a little disappointed because it just looked gold, and although I liked it, it wasn't what I was expecting. The color does change to green, though, as I move my hands, and it definitely looks more green in natural light. That's why I said I'd buy it again - it is unusual and changes its appearance based on lighting conditions. Maybe they should have called it chameleon. :p I find two coats and a top coat make it opaque and last for several days.
