Ohhh I wanted to love this so badly. I am NC20 and Sand Beige is ALMOST a perfect match- probably not noticable to someone else so no big deal. I bought this only a few days ago, applied it with a stippling brush and was pleasantly surprised with its blendability. The finish is.,,not dewy, Id say satin, and this is keeping in mind I have dry skin. Staying power (on DRY SKIN ) average- 4 hours before it started to fade.
Now comes the fine print. So I had this on for a few hours and I ran my hand over my face. Imagine my surprise when I felt not one, not two, but THREE "under the skin" pimples forming. (on someone who never gets them). Now to be fair, MAYBE the planets collided and that day was a bad day, but I'm not willing to risk it- especially when all other aspects of it were mediocre. Not bad, but not good. Don't know why I keep looking, Kat Von D lock it is never getting replaced.

This foundation is deffinitely one of the best I have used on my skin! Having combinational skin, I find during the warmer months my skin gets very oily and if Im not wearing a foundation suitable for this it literally melts off my face! I found that compared to other foundations this one suits my skin type by far and lasts the longest during the day. I find it lasts on my skin for a good 6 hours, although I do need to touch up here and there with my stay matte powder.
I like to switch up my foundations from time to time and I've gone from MAC studio fix to estee lauder double wear to many other drug store foundations and I always find myself going back to this one.
It can get a little cakey during the day, but i find for its price its quality is really good. Love love love!

Holy ish i love this foundation. Looks incredibly natural on my oily, dull complexion. I normally wear Revlon Colorstay in Oily/Combo but just find it too heavy on my face and still leaves my skin weird a weird shine to it. Colorstay whipped is definitely my HG as I can wear it all day (~8 hrs) without worrying about my face melting off. I initially bought true beige, but its a little too dark for me so might switch to natural beige. Also, it didn't break me out, hooray! The only minor complaint is the packaging like many others said. The glass jar looks expensive and nice, but its just too darn heavy. Overall though, go buy this foundation now!!!

The texture of this foundation is AMAZING. I love the texture and feel and even smell of this product! It's medium-full coverage for me. Great color selection. A little pricey for being a drugstore product, however for how well it works, I am willing to pay for it. My favorite to use in the winter because it feels a little too thick and cakey for summer time. But I still love this product!

I got a CP for this foundation seen as its not sold in Europe. I had high hopes for it I was looking for high coverage and something to last on my oily skin. I wasn't a fan of the original formula i found it very hard to work with, the color selection wasn't great and it looked like a mask when applied. This new whipped formula is so much easier to work with it feels like a mousse to me. And the Shade Buff matches me well , better than the shade buff in the original formula. Unfortunately it doesn't last well at all on my oily skin. I can see oil braking through after just an hour of wearing it. Very disappointed as i couldnt really wear this foundation for long at all as it just wont last on my skin.

This is the best foundation i have ever used. Its one of those products that i MUST have in my makeup collection. I think it has the best staying power out of all my liquid and cream foundations! I have repurchased this twice already. The only thing that i wish they would change is the packaging. Its soo bulky! I actually have a different lighter container that i keep this foundation in so its easier for me to travel with it. Also, make sure to keep this foundation upright when storing it.

Perfect for dry skin...
I suffer with moderate dry skin throughout my nose, cheekbones, brow, and chin. It seemed no matter what moisturizer I tried or foundation routine I used I would always end up with cakey dry skin flakes that ruined my makeup. I had previously tried the liquid Revlon Colorstay and HATED it because it did exactly what all the others had done, left me with cake and flakes. Needless to say I was a bit apprehensive in trying the whipped formula, but I thought "I've tried everything else, might as well give it a go." Immediately I saw a difference. There were no flakes and very little noticeable dry patches on my nose. This product is a godsend and I would recommend to anyone who has troublesome dry skin to just give it a try and see if it makes a difference. At $11 a jar, there is very little risk. I am just so thankful I found this foundation.

I absolutely love this foundation! It makes my skin smooth, flawless. I was using Revlon Color Stay prior to using this foundation. Revlon Color Stay made my skin breakout so bad - however, with this foundation my skin doesn't breakout at all. I highly recommend trying this product out.

I am so happy that I decided to try this foundation for a second time. After purchasing a second jar of this, I'm almost certain that my first jar was a bad one (powdered, cakey finish, heavy, not long wearing) which I hated but after trying my second jar which is definitely a good batch, I love this foundation to absolute pieces. The first thing I am going to get out of the way is that I HATE the original Revlon Colorstay- I think it is a horrible product, have bought countless bottles and am still totally unable to comprehend what all the fuss is about so if you have had a bad experience with the original Colorstay, this may very well be a totally different experience as it has been for me. This foundation comes in a big beautiful jar which looks very nice in a makeup collection though it is not practical for travel and it looks very, very high end. I keep it on my dresser alongside my two Chanel foundations and this one blends right in- the packaging actually looks very Chanel-esque. The jar is huge but actually only contains about 0.8 ounces of foundation which is less than standard and it costs $19.99 at Rexall in Canada so very expensive for drugstore. (For the Canadian gals reading this review, at Rexall, this is $19.99 and at Shoppers Drug Mart is $21.99 so get it at Rexall if you can!).
When you open the foundation, it has a little, plastic stopper to keep the lid from getting messy I suppose. The foundation is very thick and will not pour out of the container if you tip it upside down, it will stay right in place. I learned the hard way though that it does move when I threw it in my purse upside down (silly me) and opened it a few hours later and all of the product was stuck to the stopper, so careful how you store this- I highly suggest keeping the stopper. The foundation has a really unusual consistency, like really thick whipped cream but when you go to put it on your skin, it just melts right in and blends so smoothly. Unlike the original Colorstay, this one doesn't dry too quickly so you do have time to move it around. I find that for this foundation you need to blend it with your fingers because of the consistency being so unusual, it just doesn't look right otherwise. It offers medium coverage on the first layer but is definitely buildable to full and conceals redness from blemishes excellently. Because of the coverage being so good, this can definitely double up as a concealer if you need to add a little extra to particularly spotted or scared areas. I would not recommend using this for undereye circles though because of the salicylic acid. The foundation does take a few minutes to set and when it does, it sets to a soft matte finish. I do like the finish from the get go but I find after about an hour of wear this really sets to a natural finish and looks completely airbrushed. On my dry skin, this will definitely last for the full day from whenever I chose to put it on to taking it off without powder but I have heard that it is also great for people with oily skin, hence the Colorstay title. My only real con about this foundation is that is does transfer if I have it on and talk on my phone which drives me absolutely insane. This foundation does not have a scent to it which a lot of sensitive skinned people will like and it doesn't break me out either. I am curious to see if the salicylic acid in the foundation really helps with my acne or not.
As for shade selection, I picked up the lightest shade 110 Ivory which is the most perfect match I have ever seen for my skin. It is cool toned and if the shade correspond at all with original Colorstay than the next shade up, Buff is warm toned. I don't have a difficult time finding a shade for me ever since I am always the lightest shade of foundation or the brand doesn't have a shade for me but after watching and reading a lot of other reviews, I saw other people saying that it was hard to select a shade because the glass jar makes them all look really pale so if you are going to buy this, make sure you test it thoroughly first OR make sure you buy it at a store where you can returned opened cosmetics in case you get the wrong shade. I really love this foundation for my skin type, I think it is really wonderful and I do plan on repurchasing since the two cons of the heavy packaging and the transfer aren't that big of a deal for me in comparison to the pros.

I just bought this product today. I am particular about foundations, but had read a number of reviews. I have been a fan of Lancome foundations for a while ... but I got this in "buff" and it matches my skin tone perfectly. It is definitely thick, and a little goes a long way. With a good brush and technique, you can really achieve a flawless look with this stuff... and I would suggest using less or no powder after that, because it is not glossy and remains creamy and thick. If using a primer, definitely take care to not use much powder with this foundation.
Like others have said, the container is not the most practical or safe. One thing I have found that helps keep it clean and sanitary is to simply dip a q tip in it and dab that on my wrist. Then, I use my brush from there, never dipping it into the container. I would rate this product higher if it were in a more user friendly container.
Cheers!

After going through all 815 comments, and looking at various reviews online, I have come up with a color matching chart to help you guys out!
Shade - Undertone - Mac Color
Ivory - Pink - NW 15
Buff - Yellow - NC 15-20
Sand Beige - Yellow/Neutral - NC 20-25
Nude - Pink - NW 20
Natural Beige - Pink - NW 20-25
Medium Beige - Pink/Neutral - NW 25-30
Warm Golden - Yellow - NC 30-35
True Beige - Pink/Neutral - NW 30-35
Natural Tan - Yellow - NC 35-37
Early Tan - Yellow - NC 37-40
Rich Ginger - Pink - NW 40-43
Caramel - Yellow - NC 40-43
Note - If you are between NC 25-30, you will have a hard time matching. Try Sand Beige in the winter, and Warm Golden in the summer. There's no yellow shades between them though!
(*Toast and Natural Ochre are shades available only online through Target or Amazon. I found little information about them. However, Toast seems to be about a NC 44-45, while Natural Ochre is maybe a NC 25.)
Hope this helps! Thumbs up this so others can find it more easily if you think it's helpful, please! :)

I really wanted to love this product, it went on well and felt nice on my skin. It stayed pretty well for having oily skin but unfortunately it broke me out. I have tried other foundation from different brands and this is the first one that has caused acne. :(

I've been wearing this foundation for about five months now. I really like it and I'd definitely repurchase.
It is thick and dense but also still light. This means it actually can't spill or leak or anything which is so convenient.
When it's going on, it's smooth and kind of like a really thick creamy texture. The smell is okay, I don't really notice it. If I use a primer, it still looks like I just put it on about 7 hours later, if not it still stays on very well.
The jar packaging is really attractive and stylish and you can't really knock it over or accidentally pump out a ton of product. However it's impractical and unhygienic.
I bought Ivory but it was too light on me so I also got Buff which is a bit too dark on me. I usually mix the two together which creates a good shade for my neutral skin. I'd loooove something in between Buff and Ivory...
I can tell when I am wearing this and my face does feel a bit weighed down if I want a fair bit of coverage that day.

First off, the creme comes in a large, weighty glass container carrying 0.8 fluid ounces with an open pot design. It's not the greatest in terms of hygiene since it requires re-dipping fingers/brushes so it's very important to wash your brushes each time before application each time. Overall, I still think it looks quite classy for being around $12 at Target.
The texture in the pot itself is an almost springy/fluffy cream which looks liquid but feels more like a mousse-hybrid product. If I turn the pot upside down it doesn't come dripping out so there's a definite density to it. One great thing about it is it's quite foundation-newbie friendly since you literally take a bit on your fingertips and blend it into the skin where you need it and it doesn't require expert blending skills to look nice. So for those who don't have a foundation brush, or prefer not to use one- you fingers will be just fine!
I would consider this creme very good high coverage- but the thickness of the foundation makes it prone to looking cakey when too much is applied. I recommend starting with less than you think you need and building up only in areas that need more coverage. I have uneven skin tone and a few large pores and I can get away with skipping concealer and powder with this foundation so it's wonderful for lazy days or for students, and is actually really awesome for those with oily skin even though it's a "cream" foundation formula. I also find that it looks way better after an hour post-application since it settles into the skin and looks very natural. This natural look lasts throughout the day without looking patchy or breaking down.
One very notable downside to this product is that it doesn't look great in film or photography and gives an obvious white cast. I wore this foundation to a family reunion, where there were MANY pictures being taken, and you can see this cast in pictures close up. It actually looks much nicer in real life though, especially after the "settling" period I mentioned earlier!
Overall, I think this is a nice, affordable option for those who love the texture of cream concealers but want the all-over coverage of a foundation. Most of you new to foundation should be pretty happy trying this out for the first time, but foundation experts who are on camera often may want a higher-end pick for important face time.

I never would have expected when I bought this that it would become my absolute #1 favourite, special occasion, have-to-look-my-very-best foundation. I've had this for a long time, and I have come to adore it.
I think I'm so taken by this foundation because of how incredibly smoothly and flawlessly it blends over the skin- it kind of has that smooth silky texture of a primer. I generally use this without a primer first because of that.
I know some people have issues with colour matching, but I haven't had any problems. Sand Beige works well on my skin (for reference, I'm around an NC20, "Sand" in Estee Lauder Double Wear). I haven't noticed any oxidization either, and I'm oily skinned.
It stays true to what you expect from the 'Colorstay' line, in that it is wonderfully longwearing. I think where it parts from the original colorstay is that it blends so much more easily. I think Combo, oily, and dry skins could all use this foundation without issue. Photographs beautifully, too!
Not wild about the packaging. It's a fancy looking and weighty glass jar- very chic, but impractical to easily and hygenically get at the product. I would also say that if you hear the word 'whipped' and are expecting a light, whipped cream type product, you're mistaken- to me, it's more like chocolate pudding.

To start off, color matching was tough for this product. The closest shade I found for my skin tone was Early Tan (400). I match well with the Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation in Golden Caramel. My shade is around NC40/NC42 in MAC. I've also tried the shade Natural Tan (370) but it was a bit light for me.
Compared to the liquid Colorstay, the Colorstay whipped does not feel heavy on the skin. It feels very light on the skin. The coverage for the whipped foundation is medium. I still need concealer for acne marks. If you need more coverage, stick with the liquid Colorstay because that one is full coverage.
I'd say the liquid colorstay foundation is still better than the whipped due to the wide shade range and full coverage. You can just mix moisturizer with the liquid colorstay to make it less heavy and drying on the skin.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. The only thing i dont really like is the packaging, which made it hard to see the color. I bought a shade too light and a shade a bit dark. so i end up mixing it. lol theres some days where i add too much of the light or too much of the dark. so im waiting to run out before i buy a new one. This product didnt break me out, looks great with or without a primer. I love this more than my highend foundations

After seeing numerous positive reviews of this product on YouTube and on this site, I decided to give it a try. I didn't quite know what to expect. This is first and only creme foundation I've ever tried. All the other foundations I've ever used have been liquids. But I'm really glad I took a chance on this product.
I know a lot of people have complainted about the packaging of of this product, but honestly, it doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I rather like it. It makes it easy to take out what you need and see how much is left. If I have one complaint about this product, it's that I wish the jar was bigger. It doesn't even contain 1 ounce. But that is minor, and I can live with it.
My skin is super oily and super sensitive. I also have quite a bit of redness and bumpiness on my face. When I first opened the jar, I was a little nervous. I thought this product would be really heavy and thick on my face. I thought it would settle into my bumps and magnify my flaws. But that turned out not to be the case. This makeup is actually very light-weight and doesn't feel like you are wearing a ton of makeup. A little goes a long way and it spreads really easy. I use my fingers to apply it, and then just blend it in. I loved the whipped texture. Even better, it covers everything I need covered, yet still looks natural and not cakey. I purchased this in shade 220 Nude. It is a perfect match for my skin. It looks great when you first apply it, and it looks even better an hour or two later. This makeup stays on my face until I remove it before bed. I also like that once it dries, it doesn't transfer on to my phone or clothing.
I recently walked a 5k (3.5 miles) wearing this makeup. It was very cold, windy, and there was a steady rain the entire time I was walking. It wasn't a downpour, but enough to get my clothes and hair completely soaked. After the race, I was freezing, so I took a hot shower to warm up. I honestly didn't think I would have any makeup left on my face to remove. But incredibly, I did. In fact, my makeup still looked amazing. It looked as great after the race as it did before. You would never have guessed I'd just spent an hour walking in the rain. Since I've started wearing this makeup, I've gotten a lot of compliments about how pretty I looked. That has NEVER happened with any other foundation I've ever tried. I hope this product is never discontinued or changed. I have definitely found my HG foundation, and will definitely repurchase. I recommend this product to gals with very oily and/or sensitive skin.
