L'Oreal Lash Out made my lashes look longer. It didn't do too much for volume.

It didn't smudge and was easy to wash off.

I wish it offered more volume so I'll keep looking. I would buy this again if I didn't have a stockpile of untried mascara.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MASCARA! I have used this mascara for so long and am so sad that it is discontinued (or is it?).
I live Canada and have looked for this mascara in Vancouver, Victoria and Winnipeg... and I even crossed into USA to look and had no luck.

Since my last tube ran out I have tried so many kinds and hate all of them so much that I either toss them out or return them if I can.
My lashes are short and thin and pale coloured (even though my hair is dark) and my bottom lashes are almost non-existent... this was the ONLY mascara I ever tried that worked for me.

The mascara was perfect (coated well but not clumpy, lengthened and thickened) and the tube was simple and the brush was the perfect size. Now all the brushes are molded plastic (probably because they are cheaper to make) and I find they make my lashes clumpy and the mascara goopy... and the bristle ones that are around now are either too big or too small or just not the right shape.

Why did this mascara get discontinued or why is it impossible to find??
I joined this site in the hopes that someone can recommend a replacement for this mascara with a brush that is the same size/shape.

Any ideas??
L'oreal please bring this mascara back.

Love this mascara. I'ts difficult to find a mascara that puts out just the right amount on the brush. Am devastated that they've discontinued it, and bought three to last me until they change their minds.

I love this mascara and highly recommend it. I used to use this for years and years and then stopped. Actually, it was my first mascara I ever used! Back in the day it use to be in a maroon tube and now in a goldish one. I will be honest, the tube needs major re-design and I think it would increase interest in this great mascara. This mascara does not clump at all (I think Voluminous does) and it does what it says, which is lengthen. I like to put several coats and the brush really grips the lashes so I can build up my length. The color is great! I have it in black right now and I think it is very black and pigmented.

The bush is much smaller than I remember but it still works the way it used to. The formula is not too wet but not bone dry, either. It leans more dry, which I really prefer. I hate wet mascaras!

I can work out hard and sweat and this does not run at all or smudge and smear all over.

I wish more people would give this one a try! This is now my favorite again! I actually just bought a back up today, since it can be hard to find.

This is a solid 3 for me...it's an OK mascara, looks quite nice on for a DAY look, but has quite a few flaws which mean I won't rebuy.

I bought this as I'd heard Jennifer Aniston loved it - obviously a PR thing though! The tube on this is the ugliest and most dated looking I've EVER seen on a mascara, it does flake on me slightly at the end of a day of wear, and if I layer on a few coats without combing, although the mascara itself isn't clumpy, my eyelashes do stick together a bit more than I'd like. I don't find it amazing for lengthening or thickening either - I'm just using it up for day until I can move on to the next mascara in my stash.

Also, this is SO hard to come by in the UK - I stumbled upon it in a beauty discount store (I never go in these usually). I'd stick with Clinique High Impact or Diorshow Classic or Extase over this every time, so worth the extra £!

I loved what it does for my lashes but it's smudges like crazy. I wore this at a reunion and my eyes looked horrible in all the pictures =( I had raccoon eyes. I wish I could get the waterproof formula but it's been discontinued.

It gives length, but no volume and lasts most of the day without smudging or flaking. I think is a drier mascara than some others, which I like b/c I don't really like waiting for mascara to dry. The packaging is kind of ugly, but I guess that doesn't really matter.

I bought this because eva longoria said she liked it. First of all the packaging is hideous. Seriously?? So ugly. It's ok. A little Worse than ok... If you like natural looking lashes this is decent but I need more volume and this doesn't provid it.

This product has not been discontinued, I contacted L'Oreal and they said it hasn't been discontinued. It's difficult to find, but you can still get it at drugstore.com, and CVS still carries it in the store. I love this mascara, I do wish it had just a touch more volume, but for me, it's the only mascara that doesn't create any sensitivities or allergic reactions. It's not very volumizing, but it does create long pretty eyelashes, with no smudging and very few flakes. And it lasts longer on me than any other mascara I've tried. It's needs a touch of makeup remover to get it off completely, but I don't have any breakage or lose eyelashes when I use it. Love it.

Fantastic mascara for the money! It's a shame that it's discontinued and I can't understand why? I just ordered some off drugstore.com and you can still find it on eBay as well. It is WONDERFUL and doesn't flake at all. It doesn't make your lashes quite as thick as the Voluminous brand does but .. it does make your lashes REALLY LONG! I can't find one negative thing about this mascara.

(my lashes are short and straight)
I love the curved wand and its the perfect consistency. Not too dry and not too wet.
It gives me separated lashes and a bit of length but not so much volume. But i like that! its perfect for everyday. It can be a bit clumpy if i dont "wiggle" the comb when i apply it :P
Stays all day. I can be layered for more dramatic lashes but i tend to apply 2 layers to my lashes =)
Will buy again! HG everyday mascara
I bought mine off ebay since its discontinued

Ok, so I had to find another mascara b/c other mascaras were irritating my eyes. The department store mascara I was using didn't irritate my eyes and washed off easily, but made my lashes stick to themselves, so every time I blinked, my bottom lashes stuck to my top lashes (SO annoying).
I decided to try a lengthening mascara even though I have very long lashes, b/c the thickening ones tend to clump more.
This is pretty liquidy, but for the most part the brush comes out of the tube clean (not all the time though). When mascara brushes come out of the tube w/ clumps on them, it clumps your lashes.
It doesn't irritate my eyes, and doesn't stick to itself. It does make lashes longer if you extend application past the end of your lashes. I try not to, b/c my lashes are really long. It washes off easily...no waxy residue under your eyes.
In all honestly, I will probably buy again just because I know it won't irritate my eyes and don't want to waste money on something else that burns and makes my eyes water.

*Edit--I ended up moving on to something else. It really didn't add much volume...b/c it's a lengthening mascara. I also realized it sometimes gave the 'spider leg' look to my lashes. I think it would be awesome for someone looking for just a lengthening mascara...

My HG everyday mascara. Separates and lengthens like crazy. No flakes or clumps, but reminder - this is not made for volume. It makes my lashes incredibly long and washes off very well with warm water and soap. The "teddy bear" wand grasps each lash, even those tricky corner lashes.
I do have to give a 1 for packaging, the tube is so dated looking, a tacky beige with weird ridges.

I've used this off and on for the last 20-something years when I've gotten bored with Great Lash and wanted to use something else without resorting to H/E mascara. (I refuse to spend so much money on a product you're supposed to toss after 3 months.) I think it's pretty darn good. I don't remember the "teddy bear" brush being so small though. Nevertheless, I find the flaking to be very minimal (it happens more by the end of a long day) and it makes my lashes look long and full.

I hate clumps. I'd rather not wear mascara than have clumps. This mascara is thickening, VERY lengthening, and just insanely awesome and NO clumps. I apply 2 coats, one right after the other. People are always asking me if I use Latisse... But I doubt they would ask if they saw my lashes first thing in the morning, before my beloved Lash Out. The only problem I have is that it seems to dry out quickly, so I go through a tube a month.

One thing..I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba and cannot find this ANYWHERE!!! I have loked at Walmart, Shoppers, Rexall....and my friend was in Fargo and couldn't find it either. Does anyone know where you can still buy this??? Please...please...:)

This my HG mascara! I have been using this one faithfully for years now. I think it builds great length and thickness and rarely smears (and I use the NON waterproof version). I like this product so much that I have not even tried another macara in years and have no desire to do so. This one is absolutely perfect for me. I love it!

I used to use this until they changed the formula a few years ago when they changed from the maroon tube to the gold tube......
This used to give great lashes...now, if you apply more than one coat, you get crunchy, spider-leg lashes with flakes......not the look I am going for!!!! Too bad, this used to be my go-to. Sticking with my Cover Girl Super Thick Lash....

I have tried literally HUNDREDS of mascara from HE to drugstore and wasn't expecting much from this but WOW it has given me the most dramatic lashes BY FAR. Great lenth and volume and holds curl really well. It seems to dry out pretty fast and it gets kind of messy around the opening. I will keep buying until is discontinued (which won't be anytime soon hopefully)

I bought this when I needed a new tube of mascara per the recommendation of my mum. She said she had used it for years and then got sidetracked with some crap mascaras and thought she should go back to it. I bought it and even though it looks lackluster in it's boring, old ladyish packaging (sorry, mum), it's actually a decent mascara. Not great for volumizing but pretty good for lengthening and defining. I wouldn't rush out to buy it once this tube is dried up, but I would get it again.
