I have been using this shampoo for about a year now and I really love it. I have coarse, wavy hair which is colored with highlights and it does a great job retaining the color and keeps my hair soft. It lathers up great and smells good. I buy the large size that has a great pump which makes it using it easy and it lasts a long time, which makes the higher price ok.

First and foremost I want to say, this shampoo makes my color look stunning! My hair for the past couple of months has been blue. For anyone who has had blue in their hair, it fades to this green color. Not only does this shampoo help delay that, but when it does fade it blends more in with my natural dark hair than anything, only a greenish hue it gives. I just re-dyed mine and used a different brand so it has a bit of a purple cast. I'll update how this shampoo makes it look.
My only complaint is that it doesn't lather very well, which is a big turn off for me because I have an oily scalp and when I style my hair I notice some oily patches. Oh well guess I gotta get some dry shampoo!
For a color shampoo I definitely suggest this over any I've used in the past. Especially for bright colors. You'll love the way it turns out!

I have finally found a shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair that does not fade my color. I was afraid after paying $9 for the shampoo and $12 for the conditioner, that I would be disappointed again. My hair is shiny and FULL of body, which I don't normally have. The key is to shampoo hair, rinse, put on conditioner and immediately rinse out. It could be too heavy if you leave it in. All the stores have it, not too expensive, truly color safe, and really nice.

I thought Nexxus was an expensive, quality line but this particular shampoo and conditioner line is a disappointment. I like to use products formulated for color treated hair now that I'm getting regular highlights (blond) that I pay a fortune for. The shampoo lathers well but used in conjunction with the conditioner, it just seems to weigh my hair down. Not sure what's in it that makes my middleaged scalp get so oily so fast, but I have to shampoo more often now than I have for years, and the only thing I can think of is the residue from the products.
