I use the auburn in this product, and I love it! I really like the mousse application, I find it is less runny and it's easier to get it through my hair.
I have been looking for a good colour and I feel like this is it, for home versions anyway. It's a nice rich colour, it holds up well to adding highlights to the hair after which is nice, overall a great product, have used a couple of times and probably will again.
I saw someone mention that the colour wasn't as strong with the mousse but I definitely didn't find that. The colour is always nice and looks natural.
However, I am trying out the esalon product this weekend - a bit more costly than home colour but it sounded great - will come back and post on that one as well so you can see the experience!

Ugh, this mousse gimmick is just that. The "mousse" formula actually reduces itself back to full-on liquid almost the moment it hits the gloves, so the idea that it's less drippy is almost comical (except that you and your bathroom are covered in drips). Also, the colour was less intense than cream version, and didn't last or cover greys.
Giving 2 instead of just 1 because the colour I got was nice, and if I had no greys and didn't care about lasting power, I'd be happy enough other than the awkward application.

I tried the Blue Black to refresh my hair, which I normally colour with the Garnier Nutrisse Cream in Natural Black. Worth noting: There is no visible blue in this colour at all, so the name is a bit deceiving. It's just a cool, jet black. I knew this when I bought it by the picture on the box and the swatch on the shelf. I didn't notice any real difference in the colour of my hair overall with this compared to the Natural Black cream, which is also already actually pretty jet black. It was super easy to apply and appeared to turn out nice initially, but almost completely washed out in the first 3 shampoos. Horrid! I had to re-colour a week later again with my usual Nutrisse Cream. I would not recommend this product!

I tried the blue black in this product, It had no mess being the mousse but it turned my brown hair just a darker brown. Not even close to how black I usually dye it. Was very patchy aswell and made my hair very dry. Will be going back to my Feria Leather black.

I've been using 6RR Light Intense Auburn for a few months now and I absolutely love it. This is my new go-to dye. I used to use Garnier Nutrisse Creme and I just find that this makes a lot less mess and I get a really beautiful, rich color. I have very long hair (down to the small of my back) and it only takes one box to cover all of it. I do have very thin hair though so YMMV. Overall, I love this product.

Tried this product in blue black to darken my brown hair.the foam was easy and mess free, but it didnt seem to be enough for my shoulder lenght hair. When it was dry it came out patchy, and uneven. My hair also seemed t fade a bit after a couple weeks.its good my hair is naturally a darkish brown or it would look terrible.I just re died it using John Frienda natural black and will give a review in a week or so

I've tried so many drugstore dyes out there, but this is definitely my go to! I buy it in the color 5R Medium Auburn, and it's the most beautiful auburn, definitely true to the color on the box. It also has amazing coverage, which is great because I used to have blonde highlights and with every other dye they began to show through right away but this one covers them right up and lasts. The only bad thing about this is the smell, it can be very strong sometimes but it's not a big issue for me. Overall I would definitely recommend this dye to anybody, if you're looking to dye your hair at home this is definitely the dye you should pick up.

Don't buy this product! It is horrible! The color isn't even the color indicated on the box, i bought soft black, and it didnt even appear black to me, it was more of a dark brown, but after 2 days it had completely faded from my hair, it was horrible, worst product i ever used. It also left my hair damaged.

I am 34 & have NEVER dyed my hair (nor has anyone else), so I was very afraid when I bought this. I chose Medium Amber Brown. It was so easy to apply & even with my long hair, I only used one box. I didn't make a mess, which is nothing short of a miracle for me, & it didn't stink very much. I didn't get it all over my face or anything. I am so pleased! My hair is very sensitive, so I am amazed that it is actually softer & shinier than BEFORE I dyed it! & I had no issues with allergies as sensitive as my skin is. 100% gray coverage as promised! It's why I had to give in & dye my hair for the first time! $100 a shot is too much for me to pay someone to do my hair once a month, thanks. I highly recommend this! If you've never dyed your hair, don't be afraid! If I can do it, anyone can, & if it didn't fry my hair, than it must be pretty darned good stuff!

I thought the color was the easiest at-home hair color to prepare and use. No drips or messes and one box easily covered all my hair which falls a few inches below my shoulders. There was no burning of the scalp or offensive odor. The color looked shiny and fantastic after it dried. I got the 5 Mahogony brown color. This is where all the positives end. Unfortunately, the color washed out in less than 2 weeks!! I've never had color wear so badly. My hair is also much drier now since I used this color. This was my first time using a Garnier product. I am extremely dissapointed. I guess I have to go shell out some bucks at a salon.

I was using Nutrisse 'Cream' before, which I loved. But I switched over to Nutrisse 'Mousse' in the same color, (#3 Intense Dark Brown.) I love this color so much. It`s the only almost black color that still has the brown sheen to it. No red. No brass. Perfect. The mousse texture is so amazing! It spreads soooo easily through your hair. I was able to apply it super fast and evenly, so there are no patches. The conditioner is also way better than the one that comes with the cream.
*** Don`t shake the bottle when mixing! I almost shock the bottle to mix the color and developer though. Apparently it might explode if you shake it, so don't shake the bottle and you'll be good :)
**** This product was rated a high 8 on the Skin Deep® Cosmetic Database, so I won`t be repurchasing, as I have decided to take better care of my body and avoid chemicals. I am going to use LUSH caca Noir instead.

Personally I love this hair dye. I got it in Bright Intense Auburn, and my hair was still kind of red from the last time I had dyed my hair. This came out a super rich, intense red and I loved it! My hair is layered down to the middle of my back and I had just enough in one bottle to cover all of it. I always give mousse hair dyes an extra 5 or 10 minutes to develop for more intense results. I also got medium golden brown for my mum and she absolutely loves this product as well. I've always loved Garnier hair dyes, they're definitely my go-to unless I'm looking for a super-bright colour and I am not disappointed with the mousse :) For $7 you can't beat the price (and each box I've had so far comes with a $3 off coupon!!) and the results are amazing!! My mum's hair had total grey coverage, by the way ;)
My only complaint (and therefore the -1 lippie) with this is the pump head. Personally I hate mousse hair dyes with pumps because they usually feel stiff (which this one wasn't so bad). I wish Garnier would switch it over to a squeeze pump like Clairol's but I'll put up with it for the amazing results :)

This hair color is horrible. It's simply the worst hair color I've ever used and after this experience I will never touch another mousse or foam hair color again.
I bought the color "intense dark brown".
I thought the application was going to be easy with "mousse" formula. The problem was that it wasn't really a mousse. The consistency was more like bubbly liquid.
I've never had any problems with the chemicals on hair color, but this one made my eyes watery, the smell of it was so strong, it was like pure ammonia. I've used hair colors for 30 years and even 30 years ago I never got my eyes irritated this much by the chemicals on hair color.
The application was a mess, because the color bottle was so slippery. It was difficult to pump the mousse out when the bottle was slipping on my hands. The pump was also very stiff and it had to be held upwards or the "mousse" wouldn't come out.
After few pumps the bottle seemed to empty quite quickly. There wasn't enough product for my hair and I don't even have long hair. My hair is middle length and quite thick, though. It was quite a job to try to apply it and I ended up with uneven color on some parts.
When I rinsed the color off, it stained my bathroom sink really badly. The other colors that I've used never stain anything permanently when I'm rinsing it.
This color even stained my finger nails and the tips of my fingers (especially the dry parts of skin). I didn't use gloves when I rinsed the color off. I only use gloves when I'm applying the color. With other colors I've never managed to stain my finger nails while rinsing.
The worst thing that happened was that my hair felt like wool when I was rinsing it. It was so dry and rough. It felt like badly damaged.
I couldn't get my fingers through my hair. It was dry, matted mess. I was horrified of what happened to my hair.
Also the rinsing took a long time, because the water never seemed clear enough. The color just continued to come off.
The conditioner that came with the package was the only good thing. That actually made my hair feel like hair again.
The next time I washed my hair, the water made my hair feel like wool again. I don't know what happened to my hair during the coloring. I still have that conditioner left and that seems to always fix things, but I'm afraid what will happen when I won't have it anymore.
The result of the coloring with this mousse wasn't good. My hair color is uneven because I would have needed two packages to my mid length hair. The color is very matte, not shiny, like I usually get with other dark brown colors.
I saw some reviews of this color before I bought it and many people seemed to like it. Maybe I did something wrong with the mousse formula. I followed the instructions, though, and I've been coloring my hair so many years, I think I know how it's done properly.
This hair color just failed on me in every ways.
This was a long rant, but please, be careful with this hair color, especially if you have coarse and dry hair like I do.
