I loved this scent when I first bought it, but after wearing it for several months, I am no longer pleased with it. It's green, sharp and spicy, and somewhat strong, and I feel uncomfortable when I wear it. It doesn't suit my personality at all. It lasts all day, and just a couple sprays are enough. It must work well with my body chemistry because I get a lot of compliments when I wear it, so I will use it until my bottle is gone. I will not repurchase.

Absolutely love the look of the bottle. A drier floral and not too musky, Lily is quite different from the original Stella and smells very fresh and pretty. A carefree fragrance that dries down to a warmer, more delicate scent. Love this fragrance!

Saw the bottle, fell in love with the smell, and asked one of the girls at Sephora to make me a sample. It is definitely feminine in a non-conventional way. A bit musky without being overbearing or too old. This might sounds weird, but when I smell it I think of an enchanted forest. Go figure.

This one had me stymied for a few wears. It is very dry, no juice at all. It is green and the pepper is front and center. It's a little asexual and definitely sophisticated. This is a powerful scent- a status scent. This is for swinging with the big boys, not turning them on.

I received this as a gift and didn't expect much from it. I'm a big fan of the original Stella edp, but LILY seemed a bit anonymous, too light and casual to me at first try. However it's really grown on me and I find myself reaching for LILY every time I want a subtle, clean scent that's not offensive to anyone but still sexy and classy. I've been using it since September, but I can see it being even better for spring and summer. A nice alternative to my heavier (Chanel) fragrances. I'd maybe even buy it again.

Stella has been my go-to fragrance for the last 6 years so I had high hopes for LILY. Initially this smelled nice, but it devolved into something that reminded me of self-tanner. Unfortunately, not a fan but I still love the original Stella.

Despite the horrendous packaging this is now in my Top 5. It lasts for quite some time and has an unusual mixture of floral and oriental for me. A little goes a long way so you definitely feel like you get value for money.

I was really hoping to love this as I love Stella McCartney's other fragrances but I don't. Unlike many others I do like the bottle design, and the fragrance lasts a very long time on me (not a good thing in this case). I agree with one of the previous reviewers that I like the way the fragrance smells on my clothing but not on my skin. I really can't smell any Lily of the Valley, just the pepper. It is the first Stella McCartney fragrance to give me a headache as well, but I don't think it is strong enough that it would bother anyone around me. I feel this fragrance is just so unremarkable that it would be a waste to buy it but perhaps it could work with a different body chemistry, so I will keep my rating neutral.

First I must comment on the train wreck of a bottle this fragrance is unfortunately trapped in. Whoever designed it should be revamping his resume right now, preferably for another profession. I literally harmed myself trying to get the faceted metal top off, then took a nice scrape from the corner of the cheap aluminum cage the bottle is stuck in (a bottle which looks like a pineapple by the way - I'm trying to grasp the significance of a pink pineapple trapped in a sharp tin cage). The smell is nice enough, if a bit cloying. but it would have to be nectar of the gods to make me look at that godawful bottle on my dresser every day.

I love real Lily of the Valley flowers in my garden so I absolutely had to try L.I.L.Y.. I really wanted to like this because of the beautiful perfume botttle. The bottle is a *stunner* but the fragrance doesn't really smell like Lily of the Valley flowers at all, or Lillies either, so I'm disappointed. The initial spray is floral which is kind of nice, dominated by very strong black and pink pepper notes. Maybe it should have named it P.E.P.P.E.R. instead!
I would have to agree with the other reviewer who called the florals "insipid and unexciting" as within half an hour they had evaporated away they are so weak. Its just pepper all the way. They made a big deal out of "earthy" truffle, moss, and patchoulli chypre notes in the advertising too, and I love chypres but to me they just aren't there! Its a simple generic floral fragrance dominated by pink pepper notes with a faint hint of white musk. Perhaps the Oakmoss is lacking as real Oakmoss is now banned in fragrance due to allergies in the EU? The synthetic Oakmoss replacement they put is a weak imitation. Try if you love modern peppery florals. Pass if you like heady floral and chypre classics. Lasting power is around 4 - 5 hours.
FRAGRANCE NOTES:
Type - Chypre Floral
Top - Black Truffle and Black Pepper
Middle - Lily of the Valley, Pink Pepper and White Musk
Base - Oak Moss and Patchouli

This scent DOES NOT remind of Lancome Miracle and Chopard Madness!!!!!! It is VERY misguiding !!!! There is no any similarities! It is quite different from all frags I know, but I know A LOT os scents! It has a touch of old school fragrances, sophisticated , elegant, very interesting.

I am really, really enjoying the sample I ordered, though I'm not blown away. Soft, clean, and warm without any glaring notes (at least not to my admittedly still-learning nose); it stays close to the skin with a scent that reminds me of an expensive body lotion. I haven't smelled a lot like it, though it does remind me a bit of DKNY Pure Verbena with it's soft, simple structure and herbal-touched clean scent. I'll probably purchase a bottle once it becomes available in the U.S. - this would be ideal for an every-occasion, all-season fragrance.

I work as a cosmetics salesperson, and we got this in about a month ago. It's a fresh floral scent, not at all candy like, refreshingly new, while still being appealing to most people. perfect for spring and summer. Everybody I showed the scent to loved it, and we quickly ran out.
It did not work on me personally, I need darker ones and love the first one, Stella. Still marked as buy again, as I think it's a lovely fragrance on most people.

I'm having a serious love hate relationship with this scent. I love the initial spray ... I love the way it smells on my clothing. I hate the dry-down. The only way to describe the dry-down on me is "insipid" and unexciting. However, the spray which accidently inadvertently peppers my clothing dries down to an amazing scent - absolutely beautiful, I only wish it smelled the same way on my skin.
On a side note I love the bottle. It's something I just want to play with.
I do regret purchasing this and wish I'd spent my money on something a bit more likeable, however, I'm not totally repulsed by it so at least this is something.

Named after her father Paul's nickname for his late wife Linda - the letters mean 'Linda I love You' and inspired by her own wedding bouquet, this is Stella Mac's new springtime fragrance. I loved it. It is not particularly original, reminding me of Lancome's Miracle a bit and also Chopard's madness, the LOTV and Pink pepper notes are to the fore here. There is a woodsy oakmoss d/d which is lovely but imo not intense enough, probably due to IFRA restrictions on oakmoss usage. However, this is a perfect Spring/wedding scent strong enough to be noticed but light enough not to overpower. A big plus for those who love bottles is that this one is fabulous - would buy again
