Holy Sh!t this stuff is amazzzinngg! I was looking for a new primer after using loreal's and decided on this one since the reviews on MUA were so good.. I wasn't expecting this though. Sure it smoothed my skin, but let me tell you something.. I have acne scarring on the sides of my face a little bit and after applying foundation/powder you could BARELY seem those scars anymore. Never ever in my life have seen something that smoothes skin like this. If you buy, make sure you get the 002 primer bc Rimmel makes 2.. The other one is tinted. I haven't tried that one, but this 002 is freaking amazing!!

I bought this on a whim. It has a thin lotion consistency with a "silky" feel.
IMO the primer doesn't smell bad. Someone mentioned they cringed. It's not that potent. Once you put your makeup on the smell would be convered. They also mentioned the size. It's 1 FL oz which seems pretty typical. You don't need a lot of product. It's about $6 give or take. But most of these ladies would spend $50+ on 1-2 FL oz on a product that does next to nothing.
This isn't a miracle in a tube. But it's decent as far as drugstore goes. I haven't seem any side effects. I have oily skin. My face isn't completely shine free all day & yes it still gets oily but not AS MUCH as before. My pores are minimized. Face looks smoother when makeup is applied.

I've been searching for good primers and this one had me very excited with such stellar reviews! However, when I got it I was surprised how small the tube was - it almost looked like a travel size item.
When I opened the cap, I could not help but cringe at the smell of the product. It has a a very medical odor that continues to smell strong when applied to your face which is not enjoyable.
I have somewhat oily skin and after a few uses of this primer, my pores were completed clogged and it made me even more oily. I will probably not be purchasing this primer again.

This primer is fine....it does keep my combination skin matte for longer, and there are few compaints to be made about the price and packaging. It's creamy and silky and not much is needed. It also doesnt leave a chalky residue like some primers.
I'd buy it again, although a formula that includes an SPF wouldnt go amiss.

This is my first primer so I don't have anything to compare it to. I was having problems with my makeup lasting and my mascara fading into the fine lines around my eyes. I would look totally washep up after a few hours. This primer really helped with both problems. My makeup stayed in place all day(and night). The price isn't bad either...$7 something at Wal-Mart. Will possibly repurchase... gonna try some other primers in the future.

I am really impressed with this primer because it covers my pores, it makes my makeup last longer (up to 12 hours) and it is not expensive. The only problem for me is that it is very hard for me to find it on stock so I sometimes have to buy it online, but aside from that, this primer is perfect. I have acne prone skin and it does not make me break out. I love this primer!!

I like this product. This is the first Rimmel product I've ever purchased/tried. The packaging is fine. The product is creamy like lotion and blends really well. A little goes a long way, so don't use too much. This primer feels like a moisturizer. Compared to Avon Magix (primer), Rimmel PPP 02 doesn't leave a white pastey film on your face; Rimmel blends into the skin like a moisturizer. Avon Magix had my skin looking ashey prior to putting on my foundation. Rimmel didn't make my skin feel heavy and after putting on the foundation my skin looked flawless. Throughout the day my skin still looked flawless with no oil build-up. I will definitely purchase again. I like Avon but if I don't have to purchase an item online and it's readily available at local drugstores it is a plus. I didn't give Rimmel a 5 rating due to it not having SPF.

This primer does it's job well, it helps my foundation stay on all day, keeps my skin matte and smells gorgeous! I can even get away with wearing this without any foundation, it makes my skin feel smooth and reduces redness. Definitely would recommend this product to anyone struggling to find a good primer :)

I think I found my HG primer. I love this. My skin doesn't feel greasy when I put it on, which is important to me. It instantly makes my skin soft, smooth, and ready for makeup. It is a white gel like consistency and applies with no color.
It helps smooth out any flaky areas and allows my makeup to hold up all day.

Compared to the 001 Primer that Rimmel also markets, 002 is a milky white color with a liquid-gel consistency (001 is of the same texture, but is a peach-tan shade that fades into a sheer, soft nude--nothing radical). I JUST bought this primer to be precise, and pitched the two side to side on both of the backsides of my hands.
Both do great at smoothing lines and pores, by the way--although I'm 19 I have the cracks and wrinkles of a 40-year old on my hands and feet--001 does a bit better with evening out skintone. 002 Pro feels softer to the touch, a tad bit more moist and hydrating, like as if you've been soaking in lotion overnight to and woke up to baby-soft skin. 001 looks more natural in terms with blending with the skin texture and being "matte".
That's my two cents so far in comparing the two to each other. I bought the 002 Pro Primer because I generally reach out for the translucent primers rather than the tinted ones which can alter the look/shade of my foundation--and having Rimmel 50% at my local Walgreens, paying an extra 60 cents isn't terrible (in fact, it's pretty terrific). Asides from that I haven't actually tested the primer with my BB cream, which wears beautifully even without primer--but I do have BAD (and I mean BAD!) acne scarring which I hope the primer will settle down flat so I can at least fake having perfectly smooth skin.
This primer definitely looks promising.

I am 62 years old and have dry skin. Finding makeup that doesn't make me look older is pretty difficult as much of it is too dry. For this reason I use plenty of moisturizer. That doesn't work with all foundations. No matter what moisturizer I use, this primer goes on beautifully and allows makeup to appear light and smooth. I literlally look younger when I use it. What is not to like about that? This little makeup friend is the best! I would buy it again and again!

BEST PRIMER EVER!!! I have used so many primers, and spent so much money on high-ends. I have to say that this is the best primer I have ever found. I needed a primer quickly, and refused to repurchase my MAC primer, so I decided to try this drugstore primer. WOW! My makeup stays ALL day! Alone, my foundation separates and makes me look oily, and rubs off easily. But using the Rimmel primer 002, my makeup stays, and still looks BEAUTIFUL at the end of a long day! If youre debating getting this, take this as a sign. GO TRY IT OUT.

I really like this premier because i have acneprone/oily skin and i have a real hard time finding stuff that makes me feel comfortable in my own skin and this does a pretty nice job. Its very creamy but it doesnt feel oily when its on. What i usually do is that i apply a small amount on my skin and i let it dry for a bit. After its dry, it leaves my skin feeling very smooth and ready for my foundation. It really helps to make your foundation last longer, because i´ve had foundation on for hours and it just keeps everything in place.

My gosh, I think this is it! I have found the righ primer for my skin type. My skin is temperamental in which it will break out easily with certain ingredients and it seems like all primers that I have used cause a breakout after continued use. I have used this primer for five days straight and no breakouts. My skin is also oily and by midday, my foundation looks greasy and patchy. After 8 hours of wear, my foundation looks fresh and didn't need to blot at all. For reference, my day foundation is typically MAC Studio Fix Powder and like clockwork, by 11 or 12pm, I appear oily all over. Since using this primer, I haven't reached for my oil control powder at all....for 5 days! As for the texture of this primer, I love it! It is not that typical silicone slippery feeling type of primer, it feels like a light lotion that absorbs fast into the skin. The only con is the smell. The scent is a soapy floral and it bothers me a bit. But, overall 5 stars! Rimmel has two kinds of primers so be sure you purchase the 002 one!

By far my favorite primer I've tried so far, with Revlon Photoready Color Correcting at a close second.
This primer does just about everything you could want. The consistency is very smooth, but not oily and slick like many other primers I've tried. And it dries pretty quickly so I'm not waiting for it to dry so I can add my foundation.
I've noticed that it does fill in lines and pores alright, not exactly a miracle, but pretty good. It gives a smooth finish overall, ideal for under makeup. And no scent! Whopee!
Although it comes out in a white shade, it dries clear, so no worries. Rimmel has another one of these in shade 001 that's supposedly a color corrector, but I like this one much better.
As far as makeup longevity goes, it's slightly better than what I've been using. My makeup usually starts to fade away on and around my nose, then my T zone, and finally, my chin. This primer didn't completely stop the fading from my nose, but everywhere else was fine. I'd say my makeup was good for around 8 hours before the fading began, which is about how long I need it to last.
For $7, why not? Until I find something better that keeps my makeup on during a walk through the desert and does my taxes, I'm not likely to switch.

I have fairly dry skin near my under eye area and I have been on the hunt for a good primer because my liquid foundation tends to dry out some areas on my face.
I picked up the Rimmel Pro Primer because it was a clear* formula... not tinted. I tested the product on my hand before purchasing and decided it was for me because it made my hand feel really moisturized.
The very next day I used it on my face and fell in love.
PROS:
- clear liquid, not tinted
- can be worn under makeup or without makeup
- can use it as a moisturizer for dry skin
- smells unscented, clean smell to it.
