This was my first Color Tattoo purchase. I was curious to see if they were similar to MAC Paint Pots, which I have tried in the past and liked. I was debating on whether to get this color, or the taupe shade, and decided on this based on the fact that I don't have many grey shadows.

The consistency is nice, creamy, applies smooth, and doesn't crease. My problem with this is the color. It looks grey in the pot, but on me it looks like I am wearing blue eyeshadow. Additionally, it has huge chunks of glitter/sparkle in it that makes me look like I am trying to channel the '80's. It was only about $7, but I wish I could return this shade and get the taupe.

This is a lovely dark grey glitter sparkle. It didnt crease on me... Its waterproof (which lasted all day despite the humid weather, a nite of dancing and also impossibly difficult to remove. No wonder its called 24 hr tattoo!!!) What surprised me is that it picks up color easily with my eyeshadow brush and blends well despite its cream form...I dont have to use my fingers yay!...Im so in love with the smokey eye trend and this is going to be my HG now. I didnt even use a eye primer/base. This product is impressive and well priced!

I'm absolutely in love with this color.. I love this type of color.. a dark gunmetal/blue.. it goes absolutely LOVELY with Urban Decay's gunmetal. If you don't like that color, you won't like this one. These do crease on my lids with primer but I haven't found ANYTHING that doesn't even with UDPP, TFSI, setting with eyeshadow, etc. My lids are just that oily :( and I have mini folds on my eye besides my normal asian double eyelid, so that's waht makes it crease so easily. But other than that (I don't hold that against this product because it happens with all other products but this holds up well), this color is absolutely gorgeous and the pigmentation is amazing! So smooth and easy to blend.

This is my favorite of the color tattoos. I can wear it alone or as a base, there is no smearing, fading, or budging after 8 hours. It is sparkly but Im a huge fan of sparkles so this is a bonus to me. I apply this with my fingers and a little goes a LONG way. I will be repurchasing this!

I think this is a fabulous smokey gray eye shadow. The color is nothing new, a basic dark gray with light sparkles mixed in, but it lasts forever, and looks great all day. How many drugstore eye shadows can you say that about? Not many in my experience, getting eye makeup to stay is a huge issue for me. No eye shadow primer is needed with this, once you put it on it's there to stay. At under 6$ a pot this is well worth the money, and I don't think I'm going to need to repurchase for quite a while, as a little goes a long way. I can tell this will definitely become a staple makeup item for me. Now I want them to add more colors to this line, a basic black and a deep brown would be nice, as well as some lighter colors.

This is a beautiful shimmery smokey grey color. I use it alone without any powder eyeshadow on top and it lasts me throughout my 12 hour shift. I apply it with a stiff eyeshadow shader brush and blend it out with my finger. It makes for a beautiful smokey eye that is buildable in color intensity. I <3 it!

I really like the color tattoos. They work great as bases and are a great alternative to MAC paint pots, IMO. This color specifically works really well for smokey eye looks, but that's about it. I wouldn't wear it alone. :)

Cream eyeshadows are usually a disaster. After a few hours wear they generally start to crease, fade and slide off. This one works like a powder eyeshadow and the colour payoff is fantastic. I have a busy job and I am on the go all day. I don't have the time to touch up my make up during the day. I use this as an eyeliner and also as an eyeshadow and it lasts without moving or changing colour until I remove it at night. It has a reasonable amount of shimmer in it, but it is not that horrible in-your-face shimmer, it is subtle and flattering. The colour can be manipulated from a mid to deep grey depending on how much you use. I have dark blue eyes and this is a very nice shade of eyeshadow for me. This is a very high quality product. Maybelline seem to be making excellent products at the moment and this has made me want to try more of the colours in the range.

I don't like this eyeshadow. It's super glitttery and it creases within 2 hours.

I own four of these shadows, and Audacious Asphalt is one of my favorites. It's a medium silver gray with shimmer, and it complements my medium olive skin and dark eyes and hair very well. I prefer to wear this alone, applied in two or three thin layers with a brush, and then I use UD 24/7 liner in Bourbon on my lower lash line and lots of black mascara. It's a striking look and one of my favorite ways to wear eyeshadow. I never wear primer with this because it isn't needed. This won't budge all day, even in 90 degree weather. This is one of the best drugstore products of all time, and I hope Maybelline adds more colors to the line.

Not bad, I favor to use this as a base for darker eyeshadows. Pigmentation is smooth and strong. It’s just a standard gray color but it’s an interesting alternative from using a plain ‘ol eyeshadow primer to make your eyeshadow last all day. Wonderful formula because it doesn’t crease at all on me & I have some pretty oily eyelids :x A very safe color to purchase if you’re interested in this line :>

i loved bad to the bronze but this one sucked it creased like crazy and melted off leaving me with racoon eyes. I am not sure if i might have gotten a bad. I tried using this as a gel eyeliner but the same thing happened, lets not talk about what happened when i put eyeshadow over it.

Really wanted to like this product after all the good reviews here. Have been trying to find good cream eye shadows that would work well on aging skin. Audacious Asphalt though looks way too blue on my eyes rather than grey and looks streaky when applied (I even tried applying it with my fingertips as other reviewers suggested). I'm also using BeneFit's cream shadow in Birthday Suit. I like the consistency of that one much better, although the color also doesn't work for me (and it's really expensive). Going to try another shade of Color Tattoo though before throwing in the towel.

Pros:
+Beautiful versatile shimmery silver/grey color
+Works great for smokey eyes, dark or brighter colors
+Longlasting (12+ hours), doesn't crease (try using less product if it does)
+Nice heavy glass jar packaging
+Cheap, around $7

Cons:
-A little too sparkly for me, but still a nice color. If you use your fingers to blend some of the shimmer falls off.
-Jar packaging is unsanitary, if worried about this just make sure to use a.clean brush each time

These are amazing and well worth the money. This color is just one of the ones I have and it's a very sparkly med. grey color. It is a fairly dark color so it's a pretty strong look. These last and don't budge.

Love the name of this, it's super long-wearing with only a slight shimmer but the base is pretty neutral. Looks good with just about anything and wears like crazy, I just hope they don't stop making this color, it's hard to find a greyish shadow that looks good on me. LOVE IT!!

i heard about how great the maybelline color tattoos are and decided to try out several colors. This one is gunmetal that pulls silvery blue. The silver glitter is obvious with this one. Definitely not as great quality as the other colors.

This a gorgeous gunmetal shade with shimmer. I feel like this color is a tad less opaque with one swipe than the other Color Tattoo shadows, but are still superb in quality. I adore this color for smokey eyes and will continue to repurchase. The perfect base for smokey eyes. Just at the same level of MAC paint pot quality.

Gorgeous gunmetal grey with shimmer. Consistancy is that of a MAC paint pot, in my opinion. Pigmentation is great and is perfect for a smokey eye or "punk" look. However, the longevity, in my opinion, is no where near MAC. But I will say, I have issues with many products not lasting/staying on my skin so I'm not sure that it's the product's fault as much as it's just my weird body. lol

I actually really like this cream/gel eyeshadow. The color is a little darker than I expected, but I still like it. On me, it turns to a grayish silver/blue with a hint of shimmer & glitter. It makes an amazing smokey eye. I don't know how anyone wouldn't like this eyeshadow. It's super easy to blend & is buildable. It does take a few coats to really get a good look, otherwise it will be too sheer. But, it doesn't look cakey at all. I love the texture & consistency. I usually use powder eyeshadows, but I love how creamy the texture is for this eyeshadow. I also love the fact that I don't even feel like I'm wearing any eyeshadow! So far, my eyeshadow hasn't creased or faded, & there's no glitter fallout on my face (which is the best part). This actually goes on smoother than some of my high end eyeshadows. Maybelline did a good job on this one. I'll probably end up buying more colors.
