What it Claims:

Claims - True or False?
1) Up to 10 days of wear: To be determined.
2) Smooth and super glossy finish: Mostly true.
3) Chip resistance: To be determined.
4) Fast and mistake-free application: Half true.
5) Streak-free results: False.


Packaging:
Comes in a square glass bottle, completely clear in colouring, and a black cap. The cap is quite long and narrows toward the tip, and has a small crown on the top. The plastic used for the cap is slick, meaning it has less grip. It's not a huge problem, though. The brush is on the larger side, although not as wide as the OPI brushes, while also thinner and more rectangular. The plastic that holds the brush is not rounded, but instead flattened on both sides, making it easy to remove any residual polish from its sides before using.


Consistency:
Pure Silver, as one would guess, is a cool, metallic silver shade. I can definitely see a bit of a blue undertone to the colour, while the super fine white and silver shimmer comes together to create this cool-toned colour. It is a light-medium shade. The formula is one of the thicker offerings in the line, but it still goes on with an initial semi-opaque finish that is characteristic of the polishes in this line; I can see this shade working well for layering if the goal is to achieve a customized colour. Like many metallics however, it does show obvious brush strokes. Steadier and slower application will help minimize the brush strokes but they are still there. It definitely has some great gloss and shimmer though, and the consistency doesn't ruin the look overall. I am able to get opaque coverage with just two coats, but I did notice that when I initially tried this polish with three coats and with a faster hand, most of the nails bubbled. I don't know if this is a speed or layering issue, and it may be something to consider with the other shimmers/metallics from the brand (I seem to recall bubbling issues with Gold Silk as well, which I apply three coats of). Dry time is average, definitely will need more time for hardening.

Bang for your Buck:
This polish cost about $6.00CAD for 0.45oz or 13.3ml. Prices will vary from store to store, averaging between $5 and $7. While some of my other polishes contain more product, the amount given for the amount paid is good, and the polish only requires two coats for coverage.


Final Consensus:
I have mixed feelings towards this polish. It doesn't wow me, and there are some formula issues that can make the polish a bit harder to work with to achieve a desirable finish. But overall, it seems to be a nice addition to my collection and a nice light silver to check out that will work very well on cooler skin tones!
- Pros: Cheap, perfect amount of fine shimmer, buildable, fantastic brush, easy-to-find, only requires two coats, smooths over the nail fairly well
- Cons: Can take a while to dry, shows obvious brush strokes, may bubble is applied too fast or if too much is used, thicker formula (which may contribute to the more obvious brush strokes), takes a while to apply to achieve a smoother finish.
