I initially bought this based on great reviews from youtube beauty gurus. For a drugstore product, I think the price is on the expensive side. However, I like the shades of brown in this palette. The shadows are soft and there's not much fall out. This is great for work makeup or if you just want a natural look.

I thought this could be a cheap alternative to the Naked 2 eye pallette, but how wrong I was. The colors in and of themselves are good, but as some reviewers noted, the shadows are extremely dry. I also find them hard to blend.

Also, it always bugs me that Sonia Kashuk's stuff doesn't come with a mirror or any brushes. I know you're "supposed to" buy separate brushes and basically drag a makeup artist's case of supplies around, but I just need a convenient included set of brushes! Anyway, won't be buying this again.

This palette isn't perfect for everyone, but it sure is for me :). I'll admit there's some shades that feel a little chalky & dry *cough* #4. But for the price & the variety you get, it's phenomenal. I've used it EVERYDAY since I got it last October. I prefer a slightly messy soft smokey eye, & the middle rows make it so easy to blend colors together, #7 is so beautiful as a transition shade & warms up my look just enough. & I don't think I'm gonna be running out of the colors anytime soon. I have officially fallen in love with shades 9 & 12, especially for filling in brows. Idk about you, but I love bringing Disney villain realness to my brows. & the colors are just pigmented enough for me to rock it out. Ok stop reading this review & go get the palette! :D

I loveeee this palette it's seriously one of my go to's for when I do my eye makeup or to fill in my brows.I bought this 1-2 years ago and I've hit the pan on a couple of colors! I feel they have a wonderful color selection on this palette. The only thing I didn't like about this palette was the price I bought it when it was $28 at target but now they have seemed to lower the price to $20 which is makes it definitely more affordable now!

This palette comes in a variety of all warm matte neutral shades, ranging from light milky beige, chocolate browns, grey to black. I paid 19.99 $ for it and it's an amazing value for the 12 shadows you get. Great for starters (since it has a make-up guide on how to apply the shadows on the back of the compact with 3 different looks) but also great for professionals since it offers so many colors to play around with. It's really a day to night kinda palette. It is also multi functional which make it great to use as brow liner or eyeliner and also contouring. The colors are very natural and so easy to use.
The texture is slight powdery, but nothing you can't work with and pop even more with the help of a primer. They are fairly pigmented and true to color in the pan.
1 lippy gone due to the powdery texture as I prefer smoother textures such as UD naked.
One rant about the product is the packaging. It comes with a pull out case on the back of the compact where you'll find 3 pages of instructions on how to apply you eye makeup with help of this palette, hence the name "instructional". It's a lovely idea, but for me it's just a waste of space and weight. It would be so slim and pretty without the back plastic sticking out.
I do think this is a must have in everyones collection. For the price you can experiment and make so many different looks as much as you want and even afford to buy a new one if this one would ever finish up (DOUBT IT). Now have fun & enjoy girls!

I do a lot of traveling for work, and decided to buy a second set of makeup and toiletries that would just stay in my rollie bag all the time. During a trip to Target, this palette caught my eye as the perfect neutral palette for travel. The colors looked great, and like I could create a lot of work appropriate looks with it.

On my first business trip with this palette, I liked, but didn't love this kit. If I wrote the review then, I would have given it 3-4 lippies. The shades come off too warm for me (I really wanted a mix of warm and cool neutrals - which is what it looks like in the kit - plus it could really use some shimmer shades), but that is a color selection problem, not a product problem.

However, now that its a short couple months later, I am so over this palette. The shadows have really dried out, they are super powdery now with major fall out and are challenging to blend. Used the kits yesterday and today and think I am going to have to chuck it and get one of the neutral NYX palettes instead.

Soooo disappointing, as I have tried other eyeshadows from this line and have found them to be amazing and still looking great years, not months later.

Sorry to go against the group, but wanted to share my experience.

I heard many great reviews on this eyeshadow palette, but was very skeptical about trying it due to the fact that it cost $19.99 for a drugstore product. I wasn't sure if I would like it or if the product wasn't pigmented enough to satisfy me. However, after reading all the reviews, I decided to give it a try. Boy, was I wrong about this palette! Let me tell you this, I been using the NAKED palette for over a year now, but this palette, honestly, I think is better then the NAKED palette. It is very pigmented and all the shadows blends very well. If you love matte eyeshadows like I do, this palette will be perfect for you. $19.99 for this palette is totally worth every penny. I love the fact that this palette carries all the shadows that I need. From neutral to smokey, it's all in one palette. Try it out. You won't regret.

I don't understand why this palette isn't more popular. I love it. I have been using my naked 2 palette for the better part of the last year, but I really wanted something with more matter colors. I was going to grab the Naked basics palette (which is all matte, 6 colors, all neutral and $27) but did a little research and found this. I am so glad I did. I love the colors. I am very very pale, and there are so many options with this palette. I am not a huge fan of the packaging, and the "tutorials" are kinda dumb but oh well. You get twice the shadows, and its more than $7 cheaper. Use an eye primer before applying and you're set.

Purchased this palette after reading reviews here on MA. Love that all shadows are matte and super pigmented and long lasting. What a great deal at $20.

Altough this product is a little pricey for a "drugstore" product, I LOVE IT! The top three colors aren't as pigmented as the bottom colors, they look so sheer :( but the bottom nine colors are beautiful! Some but not all of the colors are a little difficult to blend, but I make it work. This palette is great for beginners and NUDE eyeshadow lovers :) OH, and its completely MATTE! I'm in love!

This palette is sooo awesome. Yes some of the colors can be a little powdery and the lighter ones especially, but they are pigmented and last (I've always used them with primer). I've been wanting an all matte palette for quite some time. For awhile I was considering either too faced's or thebalms and decided on this when I saw it at target. I'm glad I got this one because the neutrals are soo versatile and it has shades from light to dark. I know preferences vary, but it is definitely worth checking out IMO. It comes with instructions, but unless you are brand new to makeup they are a waste. With this and the naked2 I won't be needing another neutral for along time (but that probably won't stop me from buying some). They packaging is decent except for one of the pans was loose but crazy glue fixed that and the other palettes on the shelf were really busted and messed with and its never fun having to deal with that (mostly a drugstore makeup problem). If I ever run out of at least half of the shades I would buy again, but I don't see that happening soon (I have a small stash for mua standards, but I have way too many eyeshadows to be able to finish any...makeup problems)

This is one great palette--the colors could not be better. You can use it for brows and liner as well as shadow. I think the color, texture and intensity are fine, especially for a non-pro brand. I thought the instructional insert was sort of stupid so I pulled it off and now have a blank tray, which I could glue other colors to if I cared enough. My go-to neutral palettes are the Krylan and Viseart, which are much more pricey than this one, but this is the perfect back-up for my purse and travel. It's heavy on browns and has only one grey tone but that 's fine with me. About the packaging: all the labels pull off rather easily so you have a nice nonbranded item.

Sonia Kashuk is one of those brands that I want to like but never do because the textures or whatever always disappoint me. This product is the first real winner I've bought in the line.

I bought this product as a matte dupe for the UD Naked palette. It serves this purpose for me well since I don't enjoy shimmery/sparkly colors to begin with and I found all of the colors to be lovely and pigmented with little to no fallout with primer. Definitely worth it, this palette is a staple in my makeup collection.

EDIT
I still use this for eyeshadow, but have really been using it for my brows more and more! The colors are great for brows! I blend the grey with the darkest brown for mine and apply with a brush.

I bought this product because the reviews looked good and I have been looking for matte eyeshadows. However these are unusable to me. They are chalky and dry and hard to blend, darker shades included. I am probably too spoiled by buttery eyeshadows like nyx and urban decay, but I'm really disappointed in these.

The packaging is horrible. I saw several at the store that already had powder all over them.

I consider $20 for eyeshadow to be too expensive, even if there are 12 colors, because they are 12 colors that I cannot use. I hope I can return this.

The black eyeshadow in this palette OWNS Urban Decay's "Blackout." It makes "Blackout" look cheap and dark grey. If you can find *anything* blacker than the black in this palette, you will probably start seeing spots or something. It is so creamy and so pigmented that it is easily applied dry as a liner with brush.

Other notable colors that are ridiculously creamy are the grey, darker browns, and 1 or 2 of the highlight shades. Love this. If you want a BLACK eyeshadow this is your guy. The sleeper hit of makeup addicts everywhere, the rage just hasn't hit MUA or Youtube in full force. Yet!

This is one of the best palettes I have found. I use this everyday. All matte colors. They have light, medium and deep colors. All neutral. I have dark brown hair and use #8 or 9 on my brows. I use Mac painterly under all my shadows and these last most of the day. I might have to touch up in the evening, but otherwise amazing!

As someone else has already said, best matte pallette on the market right now. Minus one star for the overall quality of the eyeshadows, but honestly for the price the quality is pretty good. Consistency is a bit chalky, and I would prefer if the shadows were a bit more pigmented, but again with a price of $20 USD for 12 eyeshadows it's hard to complain. I love wearing bright colors and shimmer and sparkle, but now that I'm nearly 30 I realized that I needed more neutral colors and more mattes in my collection since sparkly pink and purple really doesn't cut it as an "everyday look" anymore. The colors included are really universal, while there may be a few that are not for you in the palette, it includes a full range of warm, cool, and neutral shades from light to dark. I anticipate using this palette every time I travel.
I would not buy this product again because I bought it for myself as an intro to matte neutral shadows. Once I get an idea of what I really want out a matte/neutral look I will probably buy some singles from higher end lines like MAC, MUFE and YSL.

This palette contains a good range of neutral matte colors. The colors are of great quality; they are all pigmented, blendable and long-lasting. What's also great is that there's a good mix between warmer and cooler colors. The packaging is quite nice too.
