So wow.
I've bought this eyeliner four times now, and I'm never going back to anything else.
This liner is pure black if you get it in 'Perversion', and it stays all day. I still have to set my eyes with powder or it'll stray.
WARNING: Don't use a powder that isn't translucent, it'll pick up the colour and the liner kind of turns blue...
I totally recommend this, it is worth the cost and the brush on it is very fine and easy to work with once you know what to do with it.
Happy lining ladies n' gents!

Okay, Holy Grail people. Seriously. This gives me insane precision and it's so smooth it's zero effort to apply.
I wore it on a sweaty Spring Sunday, reading on the back porch for hours, then had a sweaty romp with my fiance and still this thing didn't budge. It's just amazing.
I have it in Demolition. It's quite dark, almost black.
Please note all those complaining it's watery that the package says "Shake well before use."
I am super pleased with this.

I have the black color of this eyeliner. The brush that is included with the eyeliner is very thin and is proven to break easily. The packaging prevents one from using another brush or eyeliner applicator unless it is as small as tge origional applicator. You must shake the eyeliner before every use other wise it looks like a liquidy grey. After applying, it stays wet for a while, so you have to wait before you start your day. Overall i would not buy this again, even though i LOVE urban decay, this eyeliner was a dissipointment.

I was sadly disappointed with this product. It lasts long, and can create many eyeliner looks because of the thin brush. But the oil and the black (i guess) separated alot and i would have to shake it constantly. It also dried out after about 6 months. So now it just gives me a grey color. :c

I was disappointed with this product, it was recommended to me by friends after my previous liner was discontinued. At first I loved it, it's so easy to apply and the super thin brush makes it easy to achieve lots of looks but after using it for a while the product became really watery I'd have to shake it like mad to get a good consistency. I do like the finish of it and it's amazing staying power but I won't be repurchasing.

I like this eyeliner because it really is waterproof. It last all day without smudging, but removal is easy enough with some evoo on a cotton ball.
I like to line my waterline with pencil, but am yet to find a 'truly' waterproof pencil that does not give me raccoon eyes, so what I now do is create a barrier with this by drawing a line right under my waterline, which is simple because this eyeliner application brush is razor thin!! (also great for a cat eye) then I fill in my waterline with my pencil.
This is my new fave eye look =)
My only complaint about this eyeliner is how glossy it is. I would prefer if it was more matte. And I don't like how it flakes when removing it.

I have bought a couple of different colors of this liner. I really like the tones and the pigment in the product. It is waterproof but not rubbing proof so you just need to be careful. While I love the colors this comes on, I have also tried the black liner. To be honest, the black version of this is not as good as other liners out there. If you are getting one of those try the colorful ones... my personal favorite is Sabbath (deep blue).

I've gone through at least 8 of these liners in perversion. My HG liquid eyeliner. I use to use Revlon Color Stay liquid but the staying does not compare to UD's. Stays on FOREVER through yucky FL humidity and unpredictable rain storms. It's impenetrable. Only complaint is when it's brand new the formula is too liquidy so I have to use a separate eye liner brush to feather out the liner. I would just dab the UD eyeliner in the middle of the lid and use the separate liner brush to draw the line.

Ok, first off I was soo excited to try this out it was my first high end liquid liner. I usually use the wet n wild mega last, it works wonders. I expected this to be a matte black but it wasn't it was glossy and smelled of paint. It's super watery. You have to shake the crap out of it for it to look good. It flaked off during the day and when I would tear up it would flake off even more. I'm so disappointed with this product

Bought the shade perversion, it is the blackest black I have ever seen, did not like that is did not set matte like the product states, it was more a vinyl finish, and it flaked.

Oh Urban Decay, you disappoint me so with your beautiful packaging but below average product! I was drawn to this liquid eyeliner for its claim of being waterproof and of course, I'm a sucker for sleek, high-end packaging. I have the shade Perversion, and was hoping for a matte black, but it dries with a shiny patent finish. Love the long applicator because it makes application easier by keeping my hand steady but I can't get past how it runs after a few hours and gets smudgy along my outer corners. It fades, yet is a pain to remove because it dries into a tacky plastic film that I have to pick off my eyelids at the end of the day. So not impressed :( I wish UD would bring back their discontinued liquid liner because this is a terrible replacement for a product that was a staple for me.

I'm in love with this eyeliner, it's my all time favorite I would never pick another eyeliner. It doesn't contain a lot of product which I don't like about it but it stays. It's easy to use and just absolutely great, I was looking everywhere for a liquid eyeliner that when you removed it didn't smudge it would chip and finally I found this one after using a drugstore brand which was okay but not what I was looking for. I am in love with it, I recommend it to all of my friends who want a very clean line whether it be thick or thin and I would even recommend it for beginners.

I like my black eyeliners subtle not smoky, so I went to Ulta to swatch a few. All the pencils were smudgy black, but when I switched 24/7 waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion, I bought it straight away. The color is a shiny black, the brush applicator delivers a perfect discrete line, the wand is easy to hold for application, & it literally stays all day & doesn't budge. Takes a few minutes to dry, so give yourself a little time for it to dry & set, don't blink either until it dries or it may transfer. But I love this product, love the shiny black color, & you can thicken the top lid if you want as the applicator is precise. I am a big fan of the UD 24/7 eyepencils too, but they are better for a smoky, smudgy look, this 24/7 liquid eyeliner ROCKS! Easy to remove, I use the Neutrogena wipes & although you may have to work alittle to get them off, this eyeliner lasts all day & is just as perfect at the end of the day as when first applied. LOVE Perversion. Definitely would buy again.

I just purchased this at Ultra. When I went in to the store and asked for a waterproof, ALL they knew was the expensive ones. I think I will find a new beauty store.
The product made my eyelids gummy, got on my lashes because it doesn't dry quickly, gummed up my lashes and flakes off. It's going back.

I would rate this a 3.5/5. I have such a love/hate relationship with this. Application is very tricky! I don't have the steadiest hands and this brush is so long and skinny and you can't make any mistakes because it dries instantly and doesn't budge. It's beautiful once I manage to apply it properly, dark black, and stays put all day. However, I hate removing it because it flakes off and I have to pick out tiny black flakes from my eyeballs! Still looking for my HG black liquid eyeliner :(

I got this in Perversion. At first I was really upset, because the brush was so thin. I wasn't used to thin brushes like that, since I always had felt-tip liquid liner brushes. Since I bought it I had to use it and it actually gradually grew on me. I started liking how thin it was, because I can gradually build up the line and if I messed up on one side I can just fix it on the other side so both lids look the same. It also is long lasting and I haven't noticed fading and my eyelids tend to get oily too. The only thing I didn't like was removing the liner at the end of the day. It takes some effort but I guess that's a good thing, because it is supposed to be waterproof.

My favorite eyeliner/liquid liner - I have this in Perversion, and on my 2nd tube now. This stays on for the whole day and doesn't smudge. I've tried gel liners & pencil liners (MAC fluidline & MUFE aqua eyes/Benefit badgal liner), but this suits me the best.
I am Asian and have monolids, and being Asian I want double eyelids. So what I do every morning is: wake up, put on double eyelid stickers, brush my teeth/wash face/put on contacts. When I'm ready for my makeup, I'll remove the eyelid stickers, prime my eyes with UD's primer potion (although this probably isn't necessary because I only put on eyeliner everyday) and draw a pretty thick cateye (making sure that it's dry! It's VERY important for this liner to dry, and try not to blink) and my double eyelids will stay there for the rest of the day. It kinda replaces my double eyelid stickers in a way because it forms a thick layer. The applicator brush was tricky when I first started, but when you get used to it it's alright. The finish is slightly latex-looking/glossy, but it's not obvious from far. The most important thing for me is that it doesn't give me panda eyes, and it doesn't, so that's why I like it.
Now, on to the bad things. One thing I hate about it is how it gunks up in the opening of the tube. A new tube of UD's liquid liner is a-ok, but halfway through it it starts to gunk up. It's probably my fault that I like scraping out the excess liner onto the opening because sometimes there is just waaay too much product on the applicator. The gunk-ed up opening means that I can't screw the brush part fully back into the bottle, which is pretty frustrating. One more thing I'm quite sad about is how it flakes off when I remove it with makeup remover.. and sometimes those little flakes just go into your eye - which does not feel good, believe me. But all good things come with a price - and this just so happened to be the flakiness, as well as the real price of the product itself. It's expensive.. but as long as it works on my oily monolids, PLUS giving me double eyelids for the rest of the day, I'll pay the price.

I really want to like this product, but I just can't. There are several things that I don't care for. First, is the packaging. One would think the brush would be on the shorter side and the product on the longer side, but it's not. I frequently open it upside down. So far none of the product has dripped out though. I also find that the brush is too thin and long, which makes it too flexible. It just makes for a hard application.
Secondly, I'm not crazy about the formula. I think it's too thin. Combined with the thin, wobbly brush makes for an extremely difficult application. Lastly, the formula upon application becomes, for a lack of better words, rubbery. It almost peels of my eyelid after a just a little while of wear. You'd be better off with a much cheaper drugstore liner like Line Stiletto.

This is the first liquid eyeliner that I have purchased and been happy with in since Revlon discontinued their amazing Lustreliner product at the introduction of their Colorstay range in the early 90s. This eyeliner is literally the best I have found in a seach lasting the best part of 20yrs!
I have very warm and slightly oily eyes that melt makeup off. I end up with eyeliner leaving reflections on my upper lids, mascara melting off (unless it's waterproof) giving me an unbidden Alice Cooper appearance. It has been a true challenge to keep makeup on my eyes!
I purchased this liner in "Perversion" 3months ago and I love everything about it, including the thin brush applicator which allows precision application. The colour is intense and has a slight reflective quality. I like the look, it's not shiny enough to lose the effect of dark black. I've found it simple to apply, but then I am well practiced :). Liquid eyeliner of any kind requires a steady hand regardless of applicator. All I can say to the critics is practice! Once you get used to the angles of your face you will be able to apply this in about 2 quick strokes per eye (depending on how thick a line you're after, of course)
It wears well in all conditions - I've roadtested: Summer heat up to 45degC; crying; watering eyes in high wind; putting it on at 7am and taking it off at 5am the next morning (and it being perfect!); in the shower... everything but snow, as it doesn't snow where I live in Australia. It stays put EXACTLY like you applied it (unless you rub your eyes when they're wet).
It washes off easily with plain water, or gentle face cleanser: Just wet it well and massage with fingertips. Yes, it does come off in sections/ small flakes - not a problem if you have your eyes closed.
I searched for the liquid eyeliner for the best reviews on the web, and it was a choice between this one and Mac LiquidLast. Price was a large factor. In Australia the Mac liner RRP for $50+, and I could buy UD 24/7 on the net for $20 delivered. So next time you think spending $20 is a lot in the US, pause and think of the prices we pay in Aus! $20 is a standard price and represents value for money for this type of product.
I agree with previous comments that packaging is counter-intuitive with the brush section being the longest and printed part, but was mindful of that and haven't had a problem. That's the only grievance I can really have about it.
I've always shaken mine well and never seen suggestions of lumps or splitting.
I WILL be purchasing it again. I may even deviate away from my beloved black for another colour...maybe. Hopefully UD keep this formula around for a long time. I'm not sure I'm up for another 20yr search. Highly recommended

Despite loving Urban Decay eyeshadows and trying out literally dozens of eyeliners before, I hadn't tried this particular eyeliner until a few weeks ago. I picked it up at Sephora when my Makeup Forever Aqua Liner dried out (after about a year of use) and was looking for something different.
I can finally do a perfect cat eye look as seen here in Michelle Phan's Angelina Jolie makeup tutorial (http://i.imgur.com/rjkYO.jpg), and pretty easily. The formula is truly waterproof, which I feel is important because you never know when you'll be crying, sweating, stuck in the rain, or thrown into the pool... Yes, I've had that happen. It's very long-lasting - I slept in my makeup accidentally this weekend and the eyeliner was still perfect in the morning, although it flaked a bit when I rubbed my eyes. It's also a very deep, matte black. The finish is a bit glossy, which some people don't like, but I don't mind.
The minus one lippie is because I don't like the super thin brush that much - I'd rather it be like a marker brush, thicker at the base with a pointy tip. This means it takes longer to draw the thick parts of the cat eye shape, but it's not a big deal. I also feel the formula is a bit watery; sometimes if I blink too rapidly it will smudge a bit before it dries, but that's not a big deal either.
All in all this eyeliner is great, but not an HG. Nevertheless I will most likely repurchase once this tube is done unless I find something better.
