Got this as a sample at Sephora. Love the scent! I was surprised to see it rated so low on here. I would definitely purchase a full size bottle. Only knocked off one lippie because it doesn't last a super long time.

Vanilla Blackberry smells like cheap sangria. Overpoweringly so. Buy this if you want to smell like a well-dressed wino.
I'm honestly kind of surprised . . . all of Lavanila's other scents are just flat-out gorgeous, but I guess statistically there have to be a couple duds in every company's lineup!

I really liked this one alot, its a strong blackberry scent, I was looking for a really fruity tropical scent and this is not it but glad I did try it because I think I will be buying it.

I also got this at Sephora w my beauty insider points. I've ued the Lavanila lotions/deodorants but never tried the perfumes. I have always been skeptical of natural scent perfumes which can sometimes be too sweet or most of all sometimes they just don't last scent wise in which I feel I wasted my money and should have stuck with my regular dior or juicy perfumes. I did like this berry smell but definitely as said below is overwhelmingly berry/raspberry. In that it is pleasant but smells like a cheapo teeny bopper body spray you get at BBW you know lol. I would never spend the high perfume price they charge for it. When dried down the scent lasted a few hours and disappeared altogether. So again could have gotten the same effect of a $d body spray. Of all the Lavanila scents I like the Vanilla Grapefruit the most, that perfume has an amazing sweet/citrusy/cozy smell perfect for daily wear. It doesn't last rediculously long but decent and best of all you can smell the delicious vailla when dried down. I will definitely have to buy the edp bottle as I just used up my rollerball and got endless compliments especiallt from my bf who claimed I always smelled like marshmallows lol.

This was a free sample at Sephora for 100 pts so i picked it up yesterday. Not what i expected at all - to my nose the first notes are full on BERRY but then in about 10 mins it dries down to a soap scent, as time goes by, the clean soapiness stays, but the berries come back in a lighter way, it is pretty much fruit-soap to my nose, i could not detect any vanilla at all in this. i'm going to sample it again and get my husband's opinion, he's a huge vanilla fan. i would say if you are looking for berry-soap this would be a good option for you!

The vanilla scent is barely detectable in this blackberry and raspberry fragrance. It blends really well with my chemistry and my DH really likes this on me. Fairly long lasting too. For me, I liked it for about a week and then never wanted to wear it again. I just got tired of the scent!

I agree that the berries are overpowering (I get more blackberry than raspberry), and I'm not getting nearly enough vanilla. The fruity notes have a cheap, Bath & Body Works vibe to me, which I don't like. I was expecting better from a perfume said to be made with essential oils. Also, I don't love the iris. I'm beginning to think that simple, three note fragrances with prominent floral notes are just not my thing (LUSH's Vanillary was a miss for me for the same reason). I also find this perfume to be too powdery smelling and don't like the way it hits the back of my nose. It's a bit smoother on the dry down, but I'm still very underwhelmed. Not just underwhelmed, but really not fond of this fragrance, to the degree where I'll catch a whiff and think, "What is that unpleasant smell? Oh right, it's me!"

I bought this and it smells nice but it is strong. I apply a tiny amount then add the pure vanilla to it. It blends perfectly. They needed to add a little more vanilla the berry is overpowering.

whoa... sampled this a few weeks ago, and it is STRONG. and not in a good way. It starts out a nice mix of vanilla and blackberry (duh) but seems to get stronger before it tones down. It's very heavy on the blackberry notes, exceedingly fruity. I never did get much vanilla out of it, and the blackberry took on some plasticky notes as it wore on. I was really hoping for something a little tamer than this - this is a big no go for me. Of course your milage may be different because everyone reacts differently to scents, but do try this on for size before you buy.
