Let me start off by saying I am NOT a blue person at ALL, but this is my one exception. I wore it on my toes the other day with gold sandals, and I couldn't stop staring at how amazing the contrast was. The rich navy color is sophisticated, and classic. It is the only way to wear blue without looking like Ke$ha, unless that is the look you are going for. I would even go so far as to say it could be worn in a professional environment. I love how expensive it looks too. Just in love, and I can't wait to see what other metallics I can pair it with.

I've been looking for a non shimmery navy nail polish for ages and this is it! I just had to get it when I saw it. This is one of my first Essie nail polishes and it applied like a dream. I only had to do one thickish coat and that was it! I was so surprised - I am in love already :) I had been considering other similar shades by opi etc but this is fantastic. I got it for AUD$6 because its from an older range so it was discounted so it was pretty reasonable. I've fallen in love with dark colours (not your typical blacks) ever since using OPI Lincoln park after dark and honk if you love OPI, and this is such a great classy colour to add to my collection. So so happy!

This polish is a hard to describe color - but here goes: a smokey dark indigo that leans more navy. It is also one of those polishes that slightly changes depending on the light. A perfect color for the colder months. Very nicely pigmented and goes on relatively easily - only needs one thick coat at most. A definite re-buy!

Love it, but too dark. Formula is great- two coats is perfect. I wish it were just a tad bit lighter so you could see more of the blue when in indoor lighting.

This is a very dark navy/sapphire colour with hints of grey, a more suited colour for Winter/Autumn months. Usually, with my fair complexion I don't like colours which contrast my skin tone, but I find this colour not too harsh, anyway I love this shade regardless. The blue is a very classic colour and has a sophisticated feel. I applied 3 coats (first thin, two medium), but it goes opaque after just two coats. I also applied OPI top coat, and it lasted 6 or so days without chipping- impressive! The next time I applied it without any top coat, and had very minimal chipping after 3-4 days. This is definitely up there with my favourite nail colours! I found this polish was on sale for $4 (5ml) which I couldn' resist and I'm so glad I purchased it! I really like the mini bottle too, it is nice to hold and the brush is smaller which I find easier to achieve a perfect paint job.

I just got this for fall/winter (behind the times, I know), and I LOVE it. I'm not usually into blues, but this is such a sexy, classy, subtle navy. It's a grey-ed out dark blue creme. The formula is nearly opaque in one coat, and it dries really shiny. Really loving it.

This is such a gorgeous polish and the color-so hard to describe - but an amazingly beautiful and unique dark blue. It has a dusty green/grey quality, but is deeply saturated and pigmented. The formula is a thick smooth creme - almost a 1-coater, definitely only 2 needed. Looks and feels glossy and rich and decadent on your nails. Loooove eeeeet.

I have long debated buying Bobbing for Baubles since I'm not a blue lover. But with how dark it is I just couldn't resist. I'm glad I bought it. I got OPI Road House Blues at about the same time and thou they are in the same color family they are not dupes. BfB has a greyish cast to it that sets it apart from RHB. Another thing I'm happy about.
Bobbing for Baubles is a dark sapphire creme. It applies smoothly and wears nicely. But it sure photographs a lot darker than it is, even in a light box. Ah well! I would buy it again!

LOVE this nailpolish, amazing for winter. im not a black nailpolish person so this is amazing when i wanna wear dark polish. Its not so dark that u'd think its black at all, but just a nice navy grey blue colour. LOVE .
Goes on smoothly, last for ages, and is gorgeous. would rebuy but it's not permanent. which sucks.., ONLY thing about essie, they don't have enough colours in their permanent line.. but essie is my fav brand, over opi and butter. :)

BEAUTIFUL! I usually stick to either dark muted colors, or milky whites, but when I saw this in the bottle I knew I would love it. With two coats it is a beautiful dark navy blue but almost looks black from far away. Perfectly opaque, no shimmer and just gorgeous. Would definitely repurchase.

This is a very dark and dusty navy creme, it leans a bit towards teal in some lights. I can use either one or two coats, depending on the darkness I want. It doesn't look streaky with one coat.
It's definitely not too dark and will not appear to be black at all. It reminds me of rescue beauty lounge's colours because of the dustiness. That's a good thing!
It looks very chic on short nails.
As with all essie polishes, this dries shiny and doesn't chip easily. I can wear this for 5 days without chipping.

I first want to say I loveeeeeee the colour! Its like a dark navy blue...it really reminds of power clutch but blue colour...I dont think anyone will agree with me but it really just reminds of it haha :)
The only problem I have with this is after 1 day it chipped! I never had any problems with essies nail polish chipping. I did my usual nail routine...base coat, 2 coats of the nail polish and then a top coat. Did anyone else experience this problem? :( I would definitely buy this nail polish again eventhough it chipped but im hoping I just got a bad bottle bc I really do like the colour!!

I don't think I've ever had a color apply so easily or beautifully, it practically applied itself. It was a one coater with absolutely no streaks or those little bald areas. I put a second coat on just because I like the way that looks better, but in a pinch I could do with one. I wish their brush was a little thicker, but oh well. I love the color because it's fun but still office appropriate. I love blue cremes so this was an excellent addition to my collection. If you are a blue polish fan this is a definite must have. I have the price a 3 because I just think $8.50 for polish is insane, even if it is the norm.

A lovely grayed dark blue, like dark wash jeans that have been weathered in. Easily a one coater. Love!!!

I got this very early on from a nail supply and love it! It is a grayed navy creme. Just gorgeous. 2 coater and shiny! Stylish yet neutral in its own way.

I actually prefer OPI to Essie polishes, but Bobbing for Baubles exceeded my expectations! I am slow to jump on the non-traditional colors bandwagon, and I have to admit this color is still taking me some getting used to. It is a beautiful dark navy cream with a greyish cast. It's trendy, but at the same time conservative, if that makes sense. I don't work in a traditional office, so this is just fine for everyday wear, It is opaque in one coat, although I use two, plus a Seche Vite top coat, and I think it wears about average for me - 5 days without touchups, depending on how much housework gets done :)

I know everyone is crazy for this colour...as am I! But I must say the brush on all Essie nail polishes is not conducive to doing your own nails. `I'm a perfectionist and do my own nails regularly, and while Essie always has beautiful colours, the brush always makes it quite difficult to apply. Also, I don't feel it lasts as long as OPI. The brushes on OPI, Nails INC, and my fav Dior, are much better. They are rounded and fuller to fit the shape of your nail!

I have never been in to the blue nail craze. I thought the look was too young for me (I am 43) and I felt ridiculous wearing it. Then I saw BFB and fell in love with it. The color is a midnight blue with steel grey undertones..very sophisticated, elegant and fun (but not too fun). I love the way the color looks in the sunlight. It looks very dark in medium and darker light. I almost wish it was a little bit lighter so you could see more of the color.
As with all Essie colors, it goes on smooth, with minimal streaking and lasts a good week without chipping.
