I grabbed this color as soon as it got on the shelf last year. Looking at it now and only having worn it 2 times in my whole life this color just wasn't a winner for me. I usually love nude barely there colors, but mixed with a tan skin tone it just made my nails look dirty or something of that nature. Beautiful color, but not with tan skin!

Warm, neutral beige. Nothing exciting, but if you like beige (and I do) this will do the trick. Great for when you want your nails to look polished and classy.

This color is so interesting! It honestly looks like coffee with a lot of creamer in it. If anyone uses OPI's Samoan Sand (which is my 'go-to' nude), this is the sliiiiightly browner / darker cousin of that polish. I can't figure out if Brooch the Subject is warm or not, so I'd say that it's simply a neutral, light mocha color. The formula is divine (liquidy but not runny) and dries super fast, so you only need 2 coats for full opacity. The first coat is streaky, but the 2nd coat evens out everything. The finish is slightly glossy, but not very much so.

While it's a smidge too brown to be a true nude on me (NC25 Asian) Brooch the Subject is a lovely color nonetheless. I'd recommend this for fans of nude colors or for people who want to try brown polishes without taking the plunge into darker browns. I wear this polish a LOT because it's a chic, interesting twist to the classic "nude" and because it's mellow enough for both work and a casual day out. Plus, I love how fast it dries and its high pigmentation.

I've recently been really into nudes and neutrals (I'm usually a darks or brights kinda gal) but this is soo beautiful! It makes my hands look very sophisticated (wont talk about the rest of me - still need to tone down hair and makeup (:).

Being a pale colour it is of course a rather streaky polish, and I find I need three thin coats to make it opaque, but it dries really quickly so not a problem. I'd say if your about NC/NW 15-20 this will be a very nice and suitable mannequin-nail-colour for you, and I you just like the colour: GO AHEAD.

I have a feeling this is gonna be a staple product in my collection.

I love this polish and I love it! I have trouble with most nude polishes not being opaque enough for me, but this one is super opaque and has a creamy quality to it. As with most Essie polishes, this one is long lasting and looks great under a coat of SV!

This is very neutral nude. Not crazy about it. I guess I'll wear it, since it goes with everything...

Gorgeous milky beige color with a pinky undertone. Its such an all around classy color. First coat was streaky so you def need 2 coats of this polish. Then I top off with 2 coats of my revlon multi coat for that glossy finish. Def would repurchase!

When I bought this polish I was debating between getting this, or cocktail bling also from Essie's holiday 2011 collection, and I'm so glad I got brooch the subject! I did not find the formula thick or gloopy at all, mine had a great consistency. It went on fairly opaque in one coat and was perfect in two. For reference, my skin tone in pretty fair with slight yellow undertones, and Brooch the Subject didnt look off or make my hands have that reddish look to them. Overall, really awesome polish and I think I'll be reaching for it a lot!

If I had one complaint it would be that I did not find it dried to an especially shiny finish, but a coat of SV fixed that. Would definitely recommend!

I've been looking for a skin-tone nude polish like this ever since I saw a singer I love wearing the color. I just stumbled upon this once and had to purchase! I adore this color. It's nude, but noticable nude. The perfect nude! It's been one of my most worn colors this fall. Absolutely love it and highly recommended. About 2 coats are good.

I had been eyeing this color for quite some time and finally broke down and purchased it. I rarely, if ever, use a recognizable color on my nails - usually just sheer, light nude/pinks, such as Essie's Sugar Daddy (my favorite). So this is quite a departure for me.

The color is a opaque, caramel-beige and it's pretty neutral - no shimmer, and not at all sheer. I found that I needed two coats, and OPI top coat, to hold it - which took a while to dry, but has dried to an iron-clad finish. One coat may be slightly streaky - the polish is very, very thick.

I like it, but it's going to take some getting used to. Great, modern polish for the holiday season - it does bring out any redness around your nails, if you are like me and have hands that are dry and over-washed. Keeping the polish on will inspire me to take better care of them, I think. (I hope).

I do love Essie's bottle and brush - easy to hold and the brush always deposits the right amount of polish.

This is a light khaki, nude creme from Essie's Winter 2011 collection. I currently am wearing it on my fingers and don't quite know how I feel about it. On the one hand, I am a sucker for nudes. On the other, it doesn't do much for my skin tone. I think I may have to keep it on my fingers for a day or two to figure out how I truly feel. The formula on this one was on the thicker side.

This is warmer toned version of Essie Jazz. The formula was thick and kinda unmanageable. This color is limited edition and is apart of Essie's Holiday/Winter collection.

Love This very nice nude BABB color. I have a thing for nude polishes so I had to have this.
