This sucks...no ifs or buts about it.
A couple of hours after applying it's already smeared on my under-eyes.
I get no kind of "false" lashes results but I don't even mind that for I am in marketing and know all about marketing campaign.
Mascara has one job for me and it's making my eyes pop...now if there's length, volume, etc it's just icing on the cake but smearing, flaking, et al...nope. Mascara automatically goes in to the "suck" pile together with They're Real lol.
Back to Maybelline Sensational Mascara I go.

I don't understand the recent smashing reviews for this mascara, because every time I apply it, I want to cry. Melodramatic, I know, but within the realm of using makeup and relishing the ease and success with which it applies - this mascara gets two thumbs down. Plus, I have seen what false lashes look like, and this mascara's results definitely is not false lash worthy. It clumps and flakes, is tacky/sticky but dry at the same time, and kind of thick. My lashes look like I glommed onto them baby tarantula legs; they look awful, unnatural, spikey, and scary. I don't know what L'Oreal was thinking when it formulated this mascara. Big fail! The only nice thing about the mascara is its flashy gold-colored tube, and its long narrow-to-medium width brush. Though, there are reviewers that hate the long brush; I prefer longer brushes than shorter ones, like the one in the pink-and-green tube of Maybelline's. Though I wish the brush were a little tapered at the end so I can reach properly the inner corners of my eyes, and that the teeth on the brush were less bushy. Additionally, the black-color is rich/deep. I also find the mascara is fairly easy to wash off with a creamy cleanser. These are the only reasons this mascara gets two lippies.

Oh yes, this is one of the mascaras that will make people ask me if I'm wearing false eyelashes.

It will thicken and separate your lashes but the real drama comes from the added length the brush and formula imparts.

Definite must try for those who want to make those lashes of yours look that much flirtier.

Another drugstore win.

I have been using this mascara ever since I was young. This is by far the best mascara I have ever used! It enhances the length of my lashes, thickens them, and gives the volume and drama every mascara claims to do, only this one really works. This is perfect for a dramatic look. I do no recommend this mascara if you are looking for a natural look, but if you want long thick eyelashes this should do it.

Love this mascara! Used this alone for a couple months and it gave me length and volume without needing to be layered with another mascara. I was very impressed. Not heavy at all, no clumping, held a curl nicely. Stays on throughout the day and no flakes, but comes off easily and gently when washing my face. I accidently purchased the waterproof formula when replacing this and it was awful - stick with this one.

This is a great drug store mascara, but it does clump and sometimes flake off, but it will make your eyelashes look long and full.

This stuff is awesome. I can't speak for the regular version as I only buy waterproof mascara -- I feel it is better at holding curl and it doesn't smudge. The waterproof version of this stuff is amazing. It gets very firm hold to a curl after I've used an eyelash curler and makes my lashes look like doll lashes. It's just thickening enough to define without looking super fake or clumpy. And it makes my lashes noticeably longer... Enough to look like I've applied falsies. I love all the Voluminous mascara and this one is also a keeper.

Got this in Black Lacquer just yesterday and bought the all gold tube in 2013. Dry-ish creamy formula you need to kinda layer quickly if doing more than one coat. I love that it really thickens up my lashes. You also get a nice amount of product that should definitely last the 3-4 months a mascara should. Volume is great, but I feel that the formula won't travel up my longish lashes. Application isn't even. But I still love that it thickens them well & the formula's fantastic. Will definitely buy again & actually may just use this one instead of constantly experimenting.

Five lippies for this amazing mascara. I have tried nearly every high end brand and this beats them all, for me anyways ! It gives more length and volume than They're Real and Badgal combined . I love this mascara and hope they don't discontinue it !

I consider this a keeper. I have length but lack volume in my lashes and this mascara has a nice creamy consistency that's easy to build up and it give my lashes volume, length and tapered point lashes. It doesn't flake but after several hours it starts to fall flat and doesn't look amazing anymore. That's my only complaint. But I did notice the more layers you do the longer it holds. It usually only fell flat with one coat. Its also easy to wash off.
