I actually use this in combination with my daily cleanser, and it's proven to be quite effective.

After washing and drying my face, I take a piece and wipe it all over. It gives off a pleasant tingling sensation (not stinging unless I have open sores or something > . <; ), which I really like because it's a sign that it's working for me. And after about a minute I quick rinse with cold water and pat dry.

Leaves my face feeling refreshed and ready for my toner and moisturizer. Highly recommendable to add in your medicine cabinet.

TIP: The container only has a count of about 50 pads, which (if you're like me) will go out fast if you use it twice daily in your cleaning regime. So to be economical here's what I do.

I take an unused pair of manicure scissors and cut a handful of pads into twos or fours so that I don't have to use it all at once. Each small piece can wipe your entire face easily.

Still effective and you save yourself the trouble of ending up with an empty jar too soon.

Great organic way to start your skin cleansing, before you layer your other potions and lotions. I just bought these the other day and thought they were toner pads. I was surprised they were for cleansing.
I'm glad I didn't know, because I wouldn't have thought they worked. They don't sting my skin and did get the job done !!! I do agree they have an exfoliating property as well! I was pleased at how well they worked.
I spent my time slowly massaging in circles and amazed at how much make-up,oil and dirt is on the pad.
Very cheap and effective for a great organic product!!!!!

I wish these came in Costco sized packs. I stopped using astringent pads a long time ago because I found better methods of controlling my acne. I didn't really like the severe sting of medicated pads. However, I decided to give the ones from Trader Joe's a shot since I've had pretty good luck with tea tree oil. Well, they do sting, but they do a lot to help with my acne as well. I only use them at night as a toner to help get rid of all the oil and grime that built up on my skin during the day. But, my favorite use is actually wiping them all over my chest and back because I'm one of those poor people whose acne is not limited to their face. I get acne on my chest, breasts, back, and even my butt (sorry if this is TMI, just trying to help others out there like me). These medicated pads are so wonderful for getting rid of the acne that appears on the rest of my body. I have seen a dramatic decrease in the cysts on my back and chest. I'm almost at the point where I might consider wearing shirts that reveal my back (when you have bacne you're so embarassed you tend to wear a lot of T-shirts). I also use Neutrogena's body clearing body wash, but I find that these pads help a lot when used in addition to a clearing body wash. I go through these pads really fast and I really hope Trader Joe's does not discontinue them.

These are amazing. AMAZING. I've gone through my fair share of face wipes, from the cheap Neutrogena ones up through expensive Ole Henriksen. And these are BY FAR my favorites. These come in a simple plastic container, and each pad is soaked through with a bunch of natural ingredients--tea tree oil, witch hazel, etc--that help break up oil and dirt. The pads themselves have a smooth surface and a rougher surface, so that you can use them to exfoliate a bit. They leave your face feeling absolutely squeeky clean and fresh. I don't think that it's a makeup remover, per se--I use it after my Clarisonic--as I wouldn't want to let this too close to my eyes. And remember to moisturize afterwards, as some of the ingredients (tea tree oil in particular) can be drying.

Some reviewers have complained about the fact that these sting a bit--they have tea tree oil in them, which is a very, very strong natural ingredient that's been found to be as effective as salicylic acid. You should NOT confuse being natural with being gentle--when you use these wipes, you are going to feel them on your face. I personally like the tingling sensation, because it makes me feel like it's working, but if you're sensitive to that sort of thing, I suggest finding a gentler product. Also, tea tree oil has a very distinct smell. You either like it or you don't--it smells clean to me, but I know people who can't stand it. If you're okay with the tingling and smell, this is a great alternative to products with a lot of artificial ingredients, where you won't have to sacrifice effectiveness for a more natural product.

I highly recommend this product. It's cheap, it's simple, and it's very effective for acne-prone and oily skin.

Excellent product. Fairly priced, easily accessible (I'm at TJ's at least once a week), and great for travel.

I use it to remove any leftover makeup at night after washing with a gentle cleanser. Be sure to rinse with cool water than leaving the residue on your face.

It can be a tad drying, but I've found rinsing it with a splash of water before applying helps reduce the potency.

Overall, definitely worth a try. Also, I LOVE the smell.

These are the best I can't believe how much oil and dirt these pads remove. I had recently suffered a breakout due to using a face powder that contained mica (which breaks me out like crazy) but I hadn't read the ingredient list first and boy did I regret that. I find that salicylic acid and benzoil peroxide products don't help at all and so I was looking for something new to try. I picked these up together with Trader Joe's Tea Tree Oil cleansing bar (which is supposed to be for your body, at least that's how it's marketed) but it works perfectly on my face. Within a week my skin was completely clear. Yes they smell VERY strongly and might cause irritation for some but I'm used to using 35% glycolic acid gels on my face so this doesn't bother me at all and the results are amazing although I can't say for sure if it's these alone because I think it's the soap + these in combination. I've given them to my teenage daughter to try also and she loves them. I use a heavy duty eye cream because they are a little drying but otherwise they're perfect.

Holy crap these were super drying and irritating! I really should have known better, what with all the alcohol. I got a big zit or two afterwards (now I know I can't use witch hazel though). My husband seems to like using these. When he uses them, I can smell him a mile away, LOL! ;)

When I look for a facial product, one of the main things that I avoid at all costs is any product that causes irritation. Not only do these cleansing pads BURN like hell, they will cause your eyes to sting (even if you use them no where near your eyes) and you will reek of tea tree oil for as long as you go without rinsing your skin afterwards. It was so bad that 20 minutes after I used these, my husband wanted to know what I was wearing because it smelled horrible and even stung his eyes when he leaned in near me. Needless to say, I ended up washing my face with soap and water to get this stuff off my skin. In my book, if you have to rinse after using a facial cleansing pad then the product does not save me any time/money and is useless. Apparently there is enough alcohol/witch hazel/tea tree oil in these things to kill off any bacteria they come into contact with and therefore is NOT something you should be putting on your face!

Okay, I adore this product. I got it at trader joes a while ago for $4, which in my opinion is nothing! Im so sick of going to the drugstore and shelling out like ten dollars for some crappy product with sulfates. These pads, are certified organic and are not tested on animals. Each and every one of these pads, is drenched in tea tree oil! They also have little raise's in them which are great because they scrub your skin and remove black heads. The first few times i used these pads, they burned my skin like no other! But the results were phenominal, a good majority of my black heads dissapeard and a lot my blemishes shrunk a bit. I highly recommend this i have been using it for a few weeks now, and my skin cleared up so much! CAUTION- please, do not bring these pads anywhere near your eyes and nostrils. (they will sting like crazy!)
