Surprisingly this eye base has nice coverage Sometimes I apply this on before my concealer to provide extra coverage and make my concealer stay on all day. I don't think it's a good for the eye shadows because it doesn't make the eye shadows any more pigmented or last longer than they normally would.

I've been looking for a drugstore alternative to Urban Decay's Primer Potion and, being a huge Essence fan, I gave their eyeshadow primer a try. I tested both of them using a really bad purple e.l.f. eyeshadow and, sadly, the Essence primer is only a step above wearing no primer at all. UDPP made a terribly pigmented shadow look AMAZING and vibrant while the Essence one was just average. I will not repurchase.

Amazing product for the price your paying, works just as good as any other high end eyeshadow primer in my opinion.

LOVE this primer! I have tried many and this is my go to! I got it at Shoppers Drug Mart for roughly 3 dollars and change. For the price it is excellent, I really like the formula, its super blendable and creamy but still opaque enough to cover the redness in my eyelids, I took one lippy off for the packaging, it could be a little more glamorous but i don't really mind it. You also get quite a bit of product in such a small tube. I bought it over 6 months ago and i still have plenty :) i would definitely repurchase this!

Really love this primer, I have been using it for around a month and I wear it daily. It is a nice easily blendable texture and when you pat it out over your lids you can feel that little bit of tackiness/grip that you want with an eyeshadow primer, so you know it's gonna hold that shadow! I used this to replace a NYX shadow primer that I discovered was badly drying out my lids and this seems to be not doing that, so also may be better for those who can tend towards more dry eyelids.

Doe foot applicator, neutral colour that can be blended out, fair amount of product and works very well! Although I tend not to find too much of a difference with eyeshadow primers, this is very reliable and does as advertised very well. Given it's price, I recommend it!!

Favorite primer even over UDPP

This is my new go-to eyeshadow primer. I used to use UD primer potion, but was looking for a less expensive alternative. I find the staying power to be just as good as the UD. My eyeshadow lasts all day, and this is a fraction of the cost. Do yourself a favor and try it!

I like this even better than my beloved elf eyelid primer. The yellow base creates a blank canvas for the eye shadow that lasts all day. The consistency is easy to work with and you only need a tiny bit for your entre eyelid. The price is reasonable so it will not break the bank. I will definitely repurchase.

I apply this on certain spots that I need to cover on my face then top off with concealer and powder on top. This increases the staying power of my concealer! :D Woohoo! It fades off after about 8 hrs in the hot weather but nevertheless, a great buy! As for an eyeshadow primer, I'm not very sure. All I know is that it intensifies the colour of the eyeshadow . :)
