Recently, when I was in Europe (Macedonia, to be exact), I didn't bring any styling products with me, mainly because I feared they'd make a mess in my luggage during the 10 hour flight. I also didn't bring my hair straightener or blow-dryer, because of I was afraid they'd short circuit with the converter. To add to the mix was the hard water, making hair oh-so-hard to get a comb w/out a good conditioner. So, needless to say, I was in a nightmare.

As soon as I had my money converted to the local currency (denars), I was off to buy the products I needed. I asked my aunt where I could get styling products, and she led me into a small shop, which exclusively sold cosmetics and hair products.
I was overwhelmed and, oddly enough, underwhelmed by the selection -- there were plenty of products, but nothing I really recognized. I saw L'Oreal shampoos, a Garnier shampoo (it had avocado in it, IIRC), & a Pantene shampoo, but nothing I could look at and have Peaches & Herb's 'Reunited' playing in the background to.
The only thing I noticed was the abundance of Schwarzkopf brand products, particularly the Taft brand. In the U.S., Schwarzkopf isn't really that big, and the only product I own from the company is the Got2b Guardian Angel Heat protectant spray, of which I had moderate success with.

So, here I was, looking through various products, I noticed a picture of Heidi Klum on a red, Taft mousse container. I immediately asked the shop owner if I could look at it & he kindly obliged. I'm normally not one to be swayed by celebrity endorsements/adverts, but - I suppose in my confused state - anything familiar had to be good, right?

Well, I purchased it, and must say this: HOLY GRAIL MATERIAL!

It is, honestly, the only mousse I've purchased that hasn't left my hair crunchy, weighed down, or greasy. I would work one egg-sized amount of mousse onto damp hair, and just blow dry. It also gave me a good amount of volume, considering my hair type, which is fine, thin, shoulder length hair that gets greasy after one day of showering (In New York's humid climate, it's a disaster; frizzy to the nth degree).

Here's the tragic part: I recently ran out (I purchased it late June 2011), and since I'm back in the States, I have no way to purchase it. I've checked eBay for it, but haven't seen any listings for it. It's so unfair. Sigh.

If you're ever in Europe (or just live there), I highly recommend you get this product and swap with me...LOL, just kidding.
